My Grandparents Farmhouse and Simple Stories.

Abbi back in Dance Ms. Judy was so pleased to have the sisters back together.
Freehand cut large title then outlined.  Used Doddle Bug scraps

My Garden used wooden tags to document.

Scraps put together in a crazy quilt style.  My Brother is in the photo.

All layouts are challenges from the iNSD Crop with Victoria Marie and her weekend crop.  We had a great time cropping Virtual and got lots of pages done this entire weekend.

Strawberry Tags - Etsy Shop

Working again on some new photos for the Etsy Shop.  These Strawberry Tags are very popular in the summer.   For people canning or giving strawberry gifts.

I made some strawberry sauce for our pancakes and used it for the photo shoot.  There is another post with the recipe it's also on the Etsy Listing because you may not need the strawberry tags but you will need strawberry sauce!  Your Welcome!

Our New Lettuce Garden

I look forward to Spring and planting our garden each year.  We have a Veggie Garden and and Herb Garden and this year Dave built me this gutter garden to house various lettuce.   I love how it turned out and will be adding more types of lettuces and leafy greens.

I've also added some romaine stems from lettuce purchased from the grocery store and was pleasantly surprised that they are growing along with all the others.

Time to go do some weeding hope everyone is having a great day.  Thanks for taking a look.

Garden Underway

And so it begins another garden season.  These 2 boxes are my herb garden right outside my door.  I love having it so close that I can just run out and snip herbs while I'm cooking.
My Veggie Garden is back against the back fence the boxes were new last year so they are just staring to weather.  I plan to plant radishes in a couple of days as well as carrots.
This is my new gutter garden Dave made for me.  It will have lettuce and leafy greens. and we can move it around to keep them out of direct sunlight most of the time.
More plants that need to be planted my favorite time of spring when we get to play in the dirt.

Hope everyone is having a great Spring and staying safe.

Crabapple Tree

I cannot tell you how much I LOVE this tree in the Spring.  She produces the most amazing blooms and fills to the brim with them.  They only last about a week before a high wind or rain storm comes along and takes them all away.  It's like Mother Nature wants me to stop and pay attention to this tree and remember nothing lasts forever.
These pictures turned out amazing with the blue sky.   Makes my heart Happy!
Hope you are enjoying the little things this Spring.  Remember nothing lasts forever, good or bad.

Seed Starting - Garden

This year we are staring our garden early.  I blame the ridiculous cold and snow here.  Every weekend snow and ice then after driving in it on Monday the rest of the week is bitter cold negative degrees.  UGHH seems to be never ending.  Anyhoo this has motivated me to start planting the garden so we got a bunch of seeds and we're off.
Dave rigged up a grow light over our trays of plants so they get artificial sun throughout the growing process.  I can't wait to see how it turns out.  In the mean time it's nice to have green growing in the house.
We will be tearing out the old garden bed in back and putting in a new one since the wood on the old one is dying.  Can't wait for planting season.

So glad you stopped by today to see what we're up to.  Keep Warm.

Garden from Sunday

 Lots of Strawberries coming now.
Can't wait for the big tomatoes to turn red.
 Purples flowers still going strong.
These little tomatoes only get golden/orangish we eat them in salads.
Our first musk melon.  It still has a long way to go.
 Lots of yellow squash.
 Our second eight ball zucchini.
We tied up all the tomatoes they were leaning in their cages on to the peppers.  Poor peppers they are struggling.  Hopefully they will now get some breathing room.

Zucchini Garden Harvest

My first 8 Ball Zucchini some Cucumbers and more Beans
Zucchini and Carrot Parmesan crisps YUM these we had with our pork chops tonight.
The beans and more zucchini will go into pasta tomorrow and I'll do a quick pickle on the cucumbers.

Mid July Garden Update

 Cucumbers are getting big.
 My first 8 ball zucchini.
 More summer squash coming.
 Carrots still tiny.
 Lettuce can't wait.
 Peppers finally.
 Tomatoes are turning red.
 More and more tomatoes.
 Lots of little strawberries.
 Love these basil plants.
My Flowers are doing great in the backyard don't ask me about the ones in the front.

Garden Update - First Harvest

Last weekend I took these pictures.  We put up little trellis' for the melon and the cucumber to climb on since they were taking over the garden and attaching themselves to all the other poor plants.
Now the Zucchini is free and you can see the Carrots and Lettuce plainly.  The cucumbers aren't laying on them.
The Peppers are free of the Melon but the Tomatoes are still encroaching I need to do something about that.
 Cucumbers look happy climbing.

This is the Melon next to the Yellow Squash(or behind now).  Then an overall view.
This is the garden yesterday things are filling in now that the vines are up on the trellis'.  When we put them up we found a nice size Yellow Squash that I picked since it was raining so much, didn't want it to rot.
Abbi and I also picked the Green Beans for dinner, YUMMY
So this is our first Harvest.
I roasted them together and made a little veggie medley.  Just EVOO, Salt and Pepper and they were so delicious!
