Base coat the pumpkin with YR12 and darker shadows with YR14
Continue adding deeper shadows with YR16
The deepest shadows should be with YR18
Now work backwards blending out with YR16 and YR18
 Blend all over with YR12
 Color Stems with E57
For leaves lay down YG93 first then add YG95 to veins of leaves.
For a deep shadow on the leaves add YG97 along veins and blend everything out with YG93
Ground the pumkins with W00 and W1 so they are not floating.
Die cut image and cardstock with ovals.  Ink edges of the ovals as well as base paper and assemble the card using some foam tape between a layers for depth.  The bow I just tied and put on with a glue dot.  I noticed after the card was complete that I stamped my words around my oval upside down. DUH!!!!!   This is what happens in the middle of the night.....

So this is the end of this series of cards.  I had a great time using my stash and got a few cards done along the way.  Thank you so much for stopping by and all the Wonderful Comments.  I can't wait to do a Holiday one and I think Dianne might join me.

Happy Friday everyone Enjoy Your Weekend!

Fab 5 Fall Card Series - Day 4

Supplies Used:  Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Thankful Silhouettes,  Distress Ink, Versamark, Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Gun,  Sponges,  Piercing Tool not pictured Brown Twine.

This is a simple card.  First stamp fall words in Versamark on Ivory Cardstock.  Then sprinkle with Clear Embossing Powder and Heat Set.
Once cool start adding Distress ink with the sponges lightest to darkest.  Here we started with Mustard Seed.
Then we did Peeled Paint and Rusty Hinge.
Lastly Spiced Marmalade and Gathered Twigs.
On a smaller sheet of ivory paper stamp wheat sheathe in Scattered Straw.  Trim wheat image down ink edges and mount.
Trim down the fall words, ink edges and mount.
I used this super cool dental floss Paula(SIL) gave me to pull the twine through a small hole made on either side of the sheathe see below.  I then tied a bow.

Lastly I added some foam tape and mounted the wheat sheathe onto the card.

Sorry for forgetting the Canvas Corp twine in the supply picture.

We had scrapping last night at Dianne's.  It was a very pleasant evening and I got some tags done for the C.A.R.S. swap tomorrow.  On my way home I was alarmed to see Christmas lights on a house.  I'm not done with my fall/Thanksgiving cards and I'm seeing Christmas lights, UGH.

Ok so tomorrow is the end of the series which was kind of fun.  I will start showing peaks of upcoming classes after that.   I want to get some done before the Craft Fancy Holiday Make & Take event this Saturday.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a Great Thursday.

Fab 5 Fall Card Series - Day 3

Supplies Used - Gina K. Stamps, Memory Box Dies, Lifestyle Crafts Embossing Folders, Spellbinder Oval Die, Marvy Punches, Distress Inks, Twine, Sponge Dauber
Punch out leaves using the Marvy Punches in various fall colors, set aside.  Tip:  for these small punches use a larger clear acrylic block to push punch down less stress on your hands.  This gives you more leverage.

Die Cut Window from Ivory Cardstock.  Emboss Negative with Lifestyle Crafts Embossing Folder.
Die Cut Twiggy Tree out of Brown cardstock and glue to blue cardstock background.  Adhere leaves randomly onto tree.  Tip:  Set down the negative and lightly draw a pencil line so you know where the opening is and can decorate the most important areas.
Adhere embossed card front to blue decorated cardstock.  Insert and glue down window on top of tree.
Stamp Oval Frame with Rusty Hing and Thankful Heart with Peeled Paint Distress Ink on an Oval Die Cut Shape.
Ink the edges with sponge dauber.
Wrap Brown twine around card front and tape to the back.  Add Greeting over twine with foam tape and adhere card front to card base.

Thank you so much for visiting the Fab 5 Card Series today.  Tomorrow we will highlight and Emboss resist technique and a Stampers Anonymous set I purchased last year and never got to use.

Have a WONDERFUL Wednesday.

Cute Ian for Fall Copic Cards

For an upcoming class October 24th at Craft Fancy!  I loved coloring Ian, The Greeting Farm stamps are my very favorite for Copics at the moment I collect them like they are never going to be available again.  Here we will use the air compressor and the speckled airbrush technique.  Fun Fun Fun!   We've also used my favorite Hero Arts greeting set at the moment. Hope you can join us.  Don't forget your markers.

They call it the Windy City....

Because of days like this.  I don't think it got as windy as they predicted last night but  certainly enough to make the walls of the house shake a bit every time it hit hard.  We took down our Tomato hanger last night all of in the dark with dirt swirling all around us trying to get the bag all cleaned out.  I was surprised by how many tomatoes I still had growing.  They were mostly green but still....  So the wind is still going not much rain left but it's gusting once in awhile.  Poor Emily had to take her Trombone to school today and the case was catching the wind as she tried to walk.  Hopefully it will die down by this afternoon.

So the card above is another from my Fall Flower Soft Fun Class this Thursday!  Be sure to check out the new November Calendar and samples for classes that are starting to come in daily.  Flickr is pretty up to date.

New for Etsy

So I've been playing with one of my new Spellbinders Labels.  Love it!  I made these for my Etsy Shop and added them in today!  perfect at  a place setting, on a giftie or even just for a fall layout!

Fall has arrived

Or so it seems here.  We've started this weekend with that cool crisp air that makes you think of apples, bonfires, hayrides and such.  It's super nice.  Can't wait to have all of the windows open and enjoy!

First full week of school here.  Unseasonably peaceful like we didn't miss a beat.  Knocking wood.   Parent orientation was fun.  The Birthday celebration from the Schnockers group was fun and lively!  And there was lots of Chocolate cake couldn't ask for more!

Back to School!

Well it's that time again!  We've been busy getting ready for school both here and in the shop.  The girls start school this Wednesday.  Meet the teacher is tomorrow and they are so excited they can't stand it.  Plus my Mom is coming on Wed. so they are even more excited than normal.  It's like a windfall for them.  I'm lucky I get 3 days off this week for my birthday and to spend time with my Mom.  She flies home on Saturday.

I love the lunch notes above I've added them to my shop.  Cute Cute Cute.  They could even be used as embellishments on a scrapbook page with perfect primary colors.

Happy November

Finally November is here. October is always so crazy with everything going on. Now we only have 3 weeks of school this month and then Thanksgiving week! Woo Hoo! Yesterday Dianne and I celebrated the new month by heading over to Craft Fancy and getting lots of work done in the classroom. Love that! Getting out of the house always help to give me a new perspective. Marc and Paula picked up the kids after church Sunday and then we had a suprise visit by Matthew, he had driven up from Fort Knox for the weekend. This is what our tree out front looked like at the begining of last week. It's completely bare now and very sad but it was a beautiful shade of fall before that last rain storm on Friday.
Bonsey made it outside on Halloween. He can't be out in the rain so he's been laying around the living room a lot lately!
The kids all dressed up and ready to head out to collect Candy! This was before they came back for coats it was a little chilly! But they got lots of candy and had a great time! Abbi is still recovering she stayed home from school, a little under the weather today and went to bed before I got home from work at 5:30. Dave said she seemed to feel better mid day! Hopefully tomorrow she'll be back to her bubbly self!

New Layout Up

Actually did a layout for my shop. I've never done layouts without pictures before unless it was in a class. So this was a totally new experience.
Getting started on fall stuff now. I can't believe it especially since summer finally arrived this week here! It's been in the 90's and oh so humid for the first time all summer!
We had a great little vacation I have tons of photos so those will be interspersed with projects I've been completing for various things!
Hope you had a great weekend!
