Heart2Heart Challenges - Shades of Red

This is my Design Team project for Heart2Heart Challenge's "Shades of Red, Black and White" challenge this week.  I had one last Valentine to make today - one for my 14 year old son.  His primary interest is video games so I altered a meme from the Skyrim franchise.  I thought I'd explain it because if you don't have a gamer in the house the sentiment on this card probably seems really, really weird!
I used our La Vie En Rose paper pack for all the lovely black and white papers on this card and mixed it with Ruby cardstock.  The arrow card base is from our Artfully Sent cartridge and I had my Explore write the font from the Artiste cartridge so I could fill in with Shinhan Touch Twin markers and empahsize certain words. I outlined the arrows with our Journaling Pen and added some fun Silver Foil Tape to pop things up a bit.
The inside of the card has a fun heart border from Artistry layered with black underneath the stripes to give it a fun 3-D effect.
Hopefully my kiddo will like this one (I know he'll like the chocolate I bought him)! Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you'll hop on over to the Heart2Heart Challenges blog and join the fun in our "Shades of Red, Black and White" challenge!

Stay crafty my friends!

Happy Valentine's Day! Mad Scientist Love Potion Z Fold Card

Happy Valentine's Day to all you crafty people out there!  Here is the card I made for my teen science guy this year using our Positive Chemistry stamp set along with the mad scientist from "A Frightful Affair" cricut cartridge. The font is from our Artistry cart.
This one is a Z fold card - basically you take a regular card and fold the front back on itself to create a Z shape.
I used second generation Whisper ink to stamp the background of the paper with the ion stamp.
This shot shows the shine from the Liquid Glass I applied over the Shinhan Touch Twin Marker colored beakers.

I hope you all have a wonderful day full of love and laughter!  Enjoy your Valentine's Day!

Hugs,
Paige

3-D Pop Up Image Based Valentine's Day Card - Dementia friendly card series with free Cricut Explore File!

This one is part of a new series of "dementia friendly" projects I'll be posting on my blog - these cards will be based mostly in images with very few words used.  Images are universal and while people may not be able to register written words anymore, images and shapes can still spark something in the mind.  I made this one for my Mom who has advanced dementia and doesn't register written words anymore. I'm hoping the 3-D images will also appeal to her and give her something to play with rather than a flat piece of paper.  She is the inspiration for this new series.
I used a pocket card from Artfully Sent and combined it with the cupid image from Artiste.  Our Heart embossing folder adds a bit of texture and I highlighted the heart cut out with my journaling pen and a bit of Metallic Marker.
I used more of the Gold Metallic Marker on the inside to highlight the 3-D pop up heart (Artfully Sent Cartridge) and more of the Gold Glitter paper for the center heart.  I used my Explore to write the Happy Valentine's Day sentiment (Artbooking Cartridge) and then filled it in with our Warm Gray 4 Shinhan Touch Twin Marker.  I didn't want a whole lot of extra pieces that could be picked off so writing the sentiments directly onto the card inside works great.

The card base is retire Ivy Lane with some very old Jingle accents (cupid and arrow). Using up a bit of stash as I have some serious over flow in that department.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you enjoy my new "dementia friendly" series.  If you have any suggestions for what you've found sparks interest for friends or family that are affected by dementia I'd love to hear from you!

How Do I Love Thee Valentine's Day Card

A couple of months ago I used my Cricut points to get a Circle Membership and the Crazy Cool Cards Circle Membership cartridge.  This cutie is one of the 30 or so fun shaped or folded cards on the cartridge.  I did use all CTMH Cardstock on this one so I am using our products too - LOL!  Cotton Candy, Ruby and White Daisy are perfect Valentine's Day colors!
The arrow wraps from the top of the front to the back and tucks into a tiny slit to hold the folded heart card closed.
This is the inside of the card - those numbered red hearts are just tucked in behind the paper slats.  I'll write a brief note on each of them and send this off to my daughter for Valentine's Day this weekend.
I'm pretty sure she'll get a kick out of this one when she opens it up.  It almost reminds me of the cootie catchers she played with as a kid!

I've been having fun getting back into crafting again over the past couple of weeks.  The last couple of months have been really, really hard and I finally feel like I'm getting my equilibrium back.  It's nice to feel the urge to create pretty things again!

Thanks for stopping by and stay crafty my friends!

Heart2Heart Challenges - Two/Second Challenge

This card was created for the Heart2Heart Challenges "Two" Challenge this week.  My interpretation of this challenge is two objects, in this case two foxes plus two initials.  This one is my first Valentine for this year and obviously created for my husband Mark!
This kind of scene card where you take pieces from several patterned papers and bring them all together is one of my very favorite kinds of cards to create.  The orange fur comes from our Sangria collection, the tree bark overlay is from Urban, the blue herringbone sky is from Zoe and the leaves on the tree come from Kaleidoscope!  Plus I used Topiary, Kraft, White and Creme Brulee (retired) cardstock!  I always feel like I'm painting with the different colors and patterns of papers when I create on like this.

Thanks for stopping by today!  All the products used on this card are linked below so you can click out and see them on my shopping site!

January Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - This Moment

Welcome to the January Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  This month over 60 CTMH consultants are featuring the fun Valentine's Themed "This Moment" stamp set. If you have come here from Haley's Blog you are on the right track!  If you get lost along the way, the complete listing of all participating blogs is found by clicking here.

I used our new Heartstrings paper as my inspiration and pulled the Lagoon, Hollyhock and Whisper colors for some random stamping fun with the three different arrows.  This card is for hand delivery so I layered on pop dotting to give my black arrow and target lots of dimension.
Love the bit of bling some gold glitter paper adds!  I used our Chevron punch to make some extra shiny embellishments and a wee bow from our Striped Whisper Ribbon to accent my arrow.
I embellished the inside with more of the lovely Heartstrings paper and our Gold Shimmer Trim.  The fun arrows are from the Zip Strip on our paper.

The January SOTM is available for ordering through the 31st at regular price or just $5 with a $50 order!  To get your set, visit my shopping site:

Now hop on over to Jen's Blog to see what she has created!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Artbooking in August Blog Hop!

You may be able to tell by now that I am completely in love with our new Artbooking Cartridge! So much so I've joined in a weekly hop throughout August to showcase some of the awesome things you can do with it!  Over the next four Mondays we'll be hopping along as a group of 40 consultants share their creations in four different categories - two page layout, cards, mini books and home decor/gift items.  Lots of inspiration to be had!

If for any reason you get lost along the way or a link is broken, just come back here and you can pick back up by using the hop listing I've published just before this post.  If you've come here from Terry's Blog then you are on the right track.
This week I am sharing just one of the TEN albums that are included in the Artbooking cartridge. I've chosen the 8x3.5" Love Mini Album for this week's project.  Each mini album contains 8 different base page cuts.  I've done a quick video below to show you how the albums size and coordinate for cutting as well as detailed shots of the album pages.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope you all are having a wonderful Valentine's Day filled with sweetness, fun and love!  Here is a little treat holder tag I made for my kids using the Art Philosophy cartridge and an older Martha Stewart border punch.  They're each getting a small box of chocolates too.  Daddy got the BIG box of chocolates because his has to share with me - LOL.

Have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Champagne and Chocolate for Valentine's Day

Champagne, chocolate and Valentine's Day - they just seem to go together!  This year I probably won't be indulging in the champagne because I've been on Ibuprophen for the aches and pains of training for my black belt but I still wanted to give my husband a treat in celebration of the love we share (not to mention thanking him for all the massages he gives to my sore muscles).  I whipped up a door hanger from the Art Philosophy cartridge which is perfect to hang from a bottle of champagne or sparkling cider and fill with some chocolates.

I also made a couple of cute 4x4" heart cutout cards from the AP cartridge with Black cardstock and filled the openings with our cute Roxie paper.  I'm thinking I'll slip one inside of his computer bag telling him to hurry home on Valentine's night!

After 23 years of having him as my Valentine, I'm still over the moon in love with my husband Mark!  Here's to you babe!

I hope you've been inspired to create something for your special Valentine!

If you'd like to make this project, get these supplies:
Stamp:  Mad About You (December SOTM)
Ink:  Black, Tulip
Other:  Art Philosophy Cartridge, Signo Uni-ball White Gel Pen, Ribbon (retired Organdy but our new Seam Binding would be perfect), Red Baker's Twine (Paper Source)

Valentine's Themed Faux Printer Tray with CTMH Mad about You and Roxie

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  We will be featuring December's SOTM called "Mad About You".  If you have come here from Wendy's blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants here.

My friend Tanya asked me last month if I'd be putting together a Valentine's Day themed 12x12 framed art class and I immediately said YES knowing I wanted to use this month's stamp to create one!  This set is so much fun to play with and it goes so well with our Roxie paper pack!

I've seen several samples of printer tray artwork online.  I love the look but I wanted to stick with a format that can be switched in and out of my 12x12 deep frame so I came up with this faux tray look created with slim strips of black cardstock.  I adore the bling brads on this piece - so glam and so easy!
Before you hop off my blog I wanted to let you all know that I'll be doing a
12 Days of Christmas Cards celebration starting tomorrow!
If you aren't already subscribing to my blog via e-mail, pop on up to the top right corner and signup so you won't miss a single day of the celebration!  Be sure to activate your subscription when you get the initial e-mail and you'll get any new blog posts delivered to your inbox!
Now "Hop" on over to Jen's blog to see her work! I know she'll have something wonderful to share!

Outerspace Revolving Door Card with CTMH Merry Monsters and Reach for the Stars

This is my last revolving door Valentine (promise - my next post has a different holiday!) but I wanted to share what a three section revolving door card looks like.  This one is fairly big at 6x6" and space themed for my little NASA worker-wanna-be.

I put a bit of liquid glass on the space ships, the alien's eye and teeth and lots of Glitz on the background paper's stars - LOVE that stuff!  Once again, all my coloring was done with my new Waterbrush and our inkpads.

If you'd like to make this card, get these supplies:
Paper:  Stardust Level 2, Black Cardstock
Stamps:  Merry Monsters, Reach for the Stars
Other:  Magic (How-to scrapping book with revolving door template), Liquid Glass, GlitzGreen Bigger Brad, Waterbrush

Turtle Hugs and Fishy Kisses Revolving Door Boy Card with CTMH Family Ties Pets

For Valentine's Day this year I made each of my kids a "revolving door" card (I showed my daughter's girlie one earlier in the Valentine's Day hop).  They are based on a pattern out of CTMH's Magic scrapbooking how-to book.  These cards are SO much fun to make and my kids all loved playing with the spinners on the cards.

The images were colored in using our Waterbrush and inkpads and I liberally used liquid glass for water bubbles on this card as well as over the fishbowl.

If you'd like to make a revolving door card like this one, get these supplies:
Paper:  Tinkerin', Black Cardstock
Other:  Magic (How-to Scrapping Book for pattern), Liquid Glass, WaterbrushGreen Bigger Brad, Sharpie marker for writing (I could have used alphabet stamps but I was feeling too lazy to go upstairs and get them - LOL!)
