June Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - Ice Cream Dream

Welcome to the June SOTM Blog Hop featuring the adorable Ice Cream Dream stamp set!  If you've come here from Alyson's Blog you are on the right track. This hop is one big circle so if you keep going you'll eventually come back here. If you get lost along the way you can find the full list of participating CTMH Consultant Blogs by clicking HERE.

With Father's Day just around the corner I decided to create a card for one of my kiddos to give their Dad using the fun popsicle image and bright, summery colors.  I love the way this one turned out!

The yellow paper is the shiny side of a piece of Honey Paper Fundamentals in the Adventure Collection.  Because this is such a simple card I wanted to focus on adding texture so Paper Fundamentals and Liquid Glass on the popsicles were just the ticket!
This cut is from our Artiste cartridge which is also the cartridge I used for my Explore to write Coolest Pop Ever on the front of the card.
Close up of the fun texture on our Paper Fundamentals.

To get your own adorable Ice Cream Dream SOTM for just $5 with a $50 purchase or any of the products used in this post, visit my online shopping site at:

Here is the Explore Design Space File if you'd like to cut one of these cute cards for yourself!

Now hop on over to Tracey's blog and see what she has created for us!

CTMH Super Dad Card for Father's Day at Heart2Heart Challenges

This week's challenge at Heart2Heart Challenges is to create a project for Father's Day!  Since I have to make a couple of cards for this special occasion it was a good challenge for me to get started on my work.  This is the card I made for my kids to give my husband - it pretty much says it all - Mark is a super Dad and my kids are lucky to have him.
Don't you just love our new Varsity alphabet?  I was resisting getting another E size alphabet but its just so cute and perfect for school layouts and masculine projects that I finally gave in.  So glad I did!
To give the corrugated cardboard stars a new look I went over the tops with my White Daisy marker, a super quick and easy method to get the painted look.  The metal nailheads are our new Durables self adhesive metal accents.
Click the links below to order the following products to make this project:
Pizzaz Irrisistables (resist chipboard shapes - retired)

Now hop on over to the Heart2Heart Challenge blog and check out the other Design Team projects!  Then get busy making one of your own to add to our gallery - just use some CTMH product and link it up on your blog mentioning our site.  Can't wait to see what you create!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Tri-shutter Father's Day Card

This Father's Day card was inspired by the current Heart2Heart Challenge which called for projects with random stamped backgrounds.  I started with the images from our "Star Struck" stamp set and then filled in with words from "Checklist".  After I made a 12x12 sheet, I cut two card bases for a pair of tri-shutter cards (one went to my Dad already for Father's Day and the other I'll give as an option to my kids when they are card shopping in my craft room for Father's Day cards for my husband).
I used a chipboard dimensional element for the front of the card - I simply embossed the saying with White Daisy powder, inked over it and then put a thick layer of Liquid Glass on top and let it dry.  I untwisted a couple of spiral clips and added some velvet ribbon for texture.

The thing I like the most about this card is that when it is folded flat, the arrow on top points to "World's Best Dad" but when you open the card up, the arrow points to "Happy Father's Day".  I thought that was a fun touch!

Thanks for stopping by!

U R My Hero Father's Day Card with CTMH Jubilation and Token Alphabet

I made this card to play along with Card Pattern Sketch #119 this week and since I need a couple of Father's Day cards this fit the bill!  I really wanted to use the small "My Hero" stamp from our June SOTM "Jubilation" set on the Father's Day card for my hubby this year.  My sweet CTMH sister Caron Barnard gave me the idea to frame it up and layer it in order to make it a focal point.

This card makes liberal use of Liquid Glass - its on all the polka dots and it coats the letters and "my hero" emblem as well.  Here is a close up of the center image...

If you'd like to make this card, get these supplies:
Paper:  Good Times (retired)
Stamps:  Token Alphabet (love that one!), Jubilation (June 2011 SOTM)
Other:  Cocoa Embossing Powder, Irresistables Chipboard shapes (this set is retired but we have new ones this Idea Book), 1.25" CTMH Circle Punch, 1.5" Circle Punch, Liquid Glass

I am very excited to announce a brand new style of club that is starting in June! Up until now my clubs have been a traditional 6/25 menaing that for 6 months, 6 members committed to spending $25 each month and took turns being hostess of the month and earning rewards. We met once a month for a club crop at my house and had lots of fun creating together. Sometimes people wanted to join in the middle of a club and I just didn't have an open spot for them. Now I've found the perfect solution - and "OPEN" Girls Night Out Creative Club which allows anyone to join at ANY TIME with NO MONTHLY commitment! Let me share with you the details of how this club works:

We will meet at my house on the 1st Friday of each month at 7:00PM (starting on Friday, 5th June). Anyone can join me for a Creative Club Class night at any time with no monthly commitment - just an RSVP to hold your spot! Each month we will make a project for a $5 supply fee (could be cards, gift item, layout, etc.) If you place a $25 minimum order then the project will be FREE and you will have your name added to the hostess list! The person at the top of the list will receive the hostess rewards for the month. I will let you know the month prior if you are up next to give you the opportunity to host a party and increase your rewards! Skip a month and your name moves to the bottom of the list. Place a $25 minimum order by the 1st Friday of the month (whether or not you can attend the Creative Club Class) and your name will rise another notch on the list closer to hostess rewards! The best part is, you can even purchase the Kit of the Month scrapbooking class supplies with your order and come back at the end of the month for a FREE workshop!
Perks of Creative Club:
$5 or FREE Creative Club Class
Free current Idea Book
Hostess rewards during your month
Opportunity to host a party and increase your rewards
Low cost night out with the girls
Bring a friend incentives (each friend must have an RSVP and not be on my e-mail list)
Purchase your Kit of the Month supplies with your order!

Interested in the Kit of the Month? This month's kit will be the bear-y best! We'll be doing Back Country - perfect for all those camping shots, photos at Rattlesnake Lake or Mt. Si! Check out a video slideshow here:
