Wake Up Feeling Blessed

Tags was the creative prompt at Use Your Stuff Challenge Blog.  And so I created a few with some patterned paper.

Layered tags of all sizes.

And a little bit of shine!

I hope you find some time to create today!

Thanks Bunches - Disney Style

I had a goal to post more cards this year, and so far I feel like I'm making some good progress there. I saw the post at Use Your Stuff to create a card inspired by Disney.  I had to play along with this one.  I just had to pull an item from my stuff that I just adore and have NOT used enough.  It was a stamp and punch set from Stampin' Up. I also had some strips of pattern paper that I had saved for some cards and so a card is born . . .

What I love about this stamp/punch combo is that micro-dot shading in the balloons which you can see on the yellow balloons. Seriously love it.

I paired this with some Pretty Pink Posh sequins and love the result.

I mixed some companies between all my supplies here - another thing I love to do.

I hope you not only find some time to create, but that you mix it all up with yours supplies too.

Snow/Winter Card and Crafty Goals for 2022

And it is 2022!  How the heck did we get all the way here?

Appropriate that my first challenge of 2022 would be "Use Your Stuff".  That is one of my goals for 2022 (to use my stuff).  I have a few crafty goals, and why not document them just to be clear, but first a card inspired by Use Your Stuff where the prompt was Snow/Winter . . . and so I used my stuff from last year.

Bunnies on ski's . . . if that isn't snow time, I'm not sure what is.  I used lots of "stuff" for this card.

Some fun watercolor images!

And now for those creative goals!  I slipped off in creativity a lot in 2021, mostly due to a new job.  But my goals for 2022 is to create more . . . send more . . . participate more!

Create More - as in really use my stuff.  When I get new stamps and dies, use them as soon as possible by at least stamping and die cutting images that are ready to color.  If it's a background die, cut a few to have on hand.  If it's a stencil, get inky as quick as possible to have some background pieces ready.

Send More - I do a really bad job when it comes to sending my cards.  That will be another focus for 2022 - send more cards.  (I also have this goal of setting up an Etsy shop . . . which I started, but haven't finished, so maybe "Sell More" too!)

Participate More - I want to be sure to participate in more challenges in 2022.  I really slacked off this year, and I find the challenges keep me creating.  So my goal is to really focus on challenges.

I hope you find some time to create today.

Use Your Stuff - Enamel Dots

Oh man, do I have enamel dots in my stash.  I use them here and there, but clearly not often enough.  Was inspired this week to use them when prompted at the Use Your Stuff challenge blog.

I went to a card kit to play along with this challenge (and always one fairly near by, not stacked in a corner).

A flip-it card with enamel dots . . .

With a happy birthday message . . .

I hope you find some time to create.

Taking the Positive with the Negativie - Take 2

I'm big on negative and positive dies, and using both to create cards.  Several weeks back I had my first post showing an example of how I use pieces from both. I'm back today to show another example.

I won't lie about this one.  Whether it's my water technique piece or just me being me, I like my negative die card better.  But here are both . . .

I started with a watercolor panel and used a die to cut.  On my positive die piece, I put sentiments on the base of my card and then popped the die on top and created a shaker card.

Yep - it's o.k.  But the negative pieces.  Never throw them away!  I love my negative piece card even more! Entering this one below in Use Your Stuff.  The inspiration there was stripes!  STRIPES!

I encourage you all to show your negative/positive die pieces! Now go create.

Monochromatic Mint

Sharing a card inspired by Use Your Stuff challenge blog, where the inspiration this week was a color challenge . . . mint.

I got a bit monochromatic for my card . . .

Shades of mint with some black and white sentiments.  My "Nice" sentiment was stamped on a heat resistant acetate.  A different look!

I hope you find some time to create.

Two Cards for Two Challenges

Created two cards using a card kit that still had some supplies left.  The first one is for Use Your Stuff challenge, where the prompt was snow.

I stamped and fussy cut my penguins and my igloo.  I let my pattern paper serve as that snowy background and used a "snow" sentiment.  And my igloo gets that sheen from me piping some Liquid Glass . . . ice block by ice block!

And using the same kit of supplies and the inspiration from Always Fun Challenge, I created a second card and used up my kit!  For this one, the prompt was Snowman.

For this one, I stamped and fussy cut my snowman, along with stamped and fussy cut mittens, hat and scarf.

I hope you find some time to create today.

Waving Hello for a Tic Tac Toe

I have not been creative enough the last couple of week, so decided to work on some challenge.  This week's challenge at Use Your Stuff was a Tic Tac Toe challenge. I went with red, blue and a stamp and created a card that says hello!

I used a stencil with circles to line of my crabs.  They remind me of the "Under the Sea" song from the Little Mermaid!  But alas, they are not singing, they are only waving "Hello".

I hope you get a chance to be creative today!

Phew . . . I'm Back!

I am finally back to creating again.  Things have been wicked busy with family vacation, family visiting, and just overall chaos.  I'm so happy to have my fingers all inky again.

And what can get you creating . . . a good challenge. And so Use Your Stuff had a challenge for using stickers.  Not something I use often in card making, but I have this amazing card kit in my stash that had sticker . . . easy card making for sure.

I used the sticker with the bicycle and the "thinking of you" sentiment.  So not a lot of stickers, but stickers!

I hope you have some time to create!

Delayed Mothers' Day

Honestly . . .it never misses a beat when I'm sending something to my mom.  The post office . . . U.S. Post Office . . . is always going to hack me.  Always!

And this year for mother's day, no different.  I put some gift cards into a card.  I insured it.  I send it.  And really?  REALLY?  Arrives about eleven (11) days later.

So . . .first things first.  I'm going to send everything two weeks earlier.  Seems strange that in this day and age we have to send things earlier when technology has made things faster.  But clearly not for the U.S. Post Office.  Clearly.  They've been dissing me year after year.

Here is the card that arrived wicked later than it should have . . .

I tried to use what I had . . . on my craft table, as my latest motto is to use my stuff.  OMG and do I have stuff.

I hope you have some time to create, and that the U.S. Post Office has more respect for you than me!

Using a Tag for Use Your Stuff

The challenge at Use Your Stuff was to use a tag or a frame.  Love to use my stuff . . . and so I pulled a kit that I knew had a tag in it that I hadn't used up.  I created a snowy night background on the tag for my card.

I stamped and fussy cut my snowman and popped him onto the tag.

I hope you find some time to create today.

Use Your Stuff - Enamel Dots

I always have enamel dots hanging around from kits, and I try to use them up so there isn't abundance.  So I went to my stash for this card inspired by the challenge at Use Your Stuff

For this card, I replaced dots in the pattern paper with some enamel ones to add dimension.

And I went with a pop of black so that my die would show on those pattern papers.

I hope you find some time to create today.

Enjoy the Little Things in Life

Enamel dots were the challenge element at Use Your Stuff.  Oh but what to do . . . use enamel dots with adhesive, or create my own.

I do love my enamel accents.  I've used them to color, which creates dimension on items.  Today I used a stamp from Pretty Pink Post that has guidelines for dots.  You can use whatever you want to fill the dots, or I suppose not fill them at all. I used my enamel accents to fill mine and suffice for the challenge.  Or is that cheating.

Little dots . . . with a reminder to enjoy the little things.  I had to keep a steady hand.

I hope you find some time to create today.

I'm All Heart Tonight

I created a number of cards today.  They were all inspried by and related to all those "heart" and "Valentine" challenges out here.

One at a time, and first up is The Card Concept.  This one is a  Clean and Layered Card . . .

A stamped image on the card base, and layered pattern paper with a window over that, and some layers of stamped XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO as borders.  And that raised heart.  Love it.

And then "Love is in the Air" for "Use Your Stuff" challenge.  Well, when i think of air, I don't think red.  I think blue and white . . . . hearts floating in air.

And this is all blue and white.  Pattern paper with ink that matches.

And then finally for the Stamp Ink Paper challenge.  Love!

This one is all red . . . . lots and lots of red.

I hope you found some time to be creative today, and if not, there is always tomorrow.

Cheers!
