Just for Fun!

Hi all, I'm back today with a couple of cards made for fun -  I'm feeling inspired after a 6 week hiatus, and I am trying to keep my crafty side going!

I made some panels a little while ago, playing with my newly bought inks by Dylusions.

For this citrussy coloured card, I sparyed some Lime Zest and Jade Green inks onto my craft mat, added some pearlescent pigment powder to it and pressed my card stock into it. I love the effect, but I am not sure how to stop the pearly pigment coming off onto my hands, if anyone can advise me I'd be very grateful!

I matted this panel onto a silver mirri card, attached to a card base, and stamped a Uniko Studios sentiment around the edge in Memento London Fog.

For my next card I used the same technique, but with the colours of London Blue and Funky Fuschia.

The sentiment is also by Uniko Studios.

I have several more snippets of these coloured inky panels, so I may make a few more to have in my stash for future occasions.

Pauline

Uniko Studios and Sketch Saturday

Hoi all, just popping by with a card I have made for the Uniko Studios Feb challenge, I've left it a bit late with just one day to go, but I was feeling inspired by the challenge colours. I then took some inspiration for the layout by using this week's Sketch Saturday sketch.

I have used English Country Garden butterflies for my card - I stamped the large detailed butterfly ib clear versamark onto some watercolour paper, and clear embossed. I then added Turquoise Brusho crystals to the top of the wings and Rose Red Brusho crystals (the nearest I have in Brusho to Pink) to the bottom wings.

I then cut a pink frame, and white circle for the butterfly to sit on.

Then using the small detailed butterfly from this set, I stamped the butterflies onto some white card in memento Angel Pink and MFT Sno Cone.

I then cut this to size, and backed with some aqua bazzill card, and wrapped some aqua twine around the bottom. Finally I added a pink gem for a little sparkle, and some pink pearls to the centre of the butterfly.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Less is More..Again!!

Hi all, I'm back with some more Berry goodnes for the less is more challenge, I did say that I love creating with these colours hehe!

So, very quickly, both cards are made using Brushos in Purple and Scarlet, the first card was used sparingly, and the other card was made using much more water.

Once dry, I stamped the images from Stampendous called Bold Sprigs in Black Soot Distress ink. The watercolour card doesn't tend to stamp images well, so I smooshed the ink pad onto an acrylic block, then picked up the ink with a little water on my brush, and painted in the gaps on the berries and butterflies.  The sentiment is from Uniko Studios, stamped in Dusty Concorde Distress ink.

Then I added some glue pen dots onto the sprigs and butterflies, and added some Glamour Dust.

For my second card, I cut a rectangular panel using an MFT die Cross Stitched Rectangles, and layered it onto another cut in Cherry Cobbler.

The die cut wording is also cut in Cherry Cobbler, and is a die from Serendipity Stamps.

I fancied a bit of sparkle on this one too, so I added some glue pen dots, and glamour dust to the panel.

Well I hope I haven't bored you this week with my berry inspired makes, but I have enjoyed making them!

I would like to enter these into the following challenges

Less is More - Berry Colours

Hi all, I'm sharing my little make today for this week's new Less is More challenge, to use Berry colours. Now, I love berry shades, especially deep purples and raspberry reds, and once I start creating with them, I can't stop!

For this card, I used some scraps left over from another project, which I still need to blog, and my new dies from MFT (available at Dies to Die for) Blueprints 20. I actually cut and assembled 7 of these mini quilts, and found it very therapeutic, like an extended jigsaw puzzle!

The main body of the quilt was made using some background paper I had made using a Visible Ink stamp, Flower INKcognito, clear embossed, then spritzed with some Deco Art paint sprays in Purple and Primary Magenta  for an embossed/resist technique.

As the  background card had already been made last week, all I needed to do was cut and assemble.

The raspberry mat was also cut using a cross stitched rectangular die, also from the Blueprints 20 die set. I added some purple twine and a deep purple button, and the sentiment is from Uniko Studios,  All Occasion Sentiments #1, stamped in Hero Arts new Ombre ink pad in 'Lilac to Grape Purple'.

I stopped short of adding any further bling or glitter, but it's difficult for me haha! I love the bling!

Thanks for stopping by today,

Pauline
