WMSC and a few more!

Hi all, today I have a last minute entry for this week's Waltzingmouse Sketch challenge. I'm very late with this as my mojo has been sadly lacking! Yesterday I received some new papers and ribbons I had ordered from The Ribbon Reel, and I just had to have a tinker! The papers are just gorgeous!

Here's the sketch:

And here's my take:

I have used a white card base, and stitched three panels together with some fawn coloured thread. The top and bottom panels are stamped using the new Hero Arts Newsprint stamp with Old Paper Distress Ink. I then cut them to the size I wanted, and distressed around the edges using Antique Linen and Walnut Stain.

I then cut a panel of the pretty floral paper from my new stack from My Mind Eye Miss Caroline Fiddlesticks range. Again, distressed around the edges, and stitched the panels together. Then I stitched them to a fawn coloured piece of Bazzill.

For the focal point, I gold embossed two WMS frames onto a piece of the newsprint card, and finished with a sentiment also from WMS and a couple of pearls.

I then wrapped some beautiful crochet lace around the panels, and added some Chalk White Seam Binding to the base panel before adhering to the card. I then topped the labels with some cherry blossoms and some little leaves, all from The Ribbon Reel.

Supplies Used:

Stamps: Ovals classic Frames, Victorian Frippery - Waltzingmouse Stamps; Newspaper Background - Hero Arts

Inks: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen, Old Paper - Ranger Distress Inks; Versamark

Ribbons: Chalk White Seam Binding, Cream Floral Crochet Lace - The Ribbon Reel

Other: Dark Blue Cherry Blossoms; MME Miss Caroline Fiddlesticks Paper Stack; 25mm Oval Leaves Green - All from The Ribbon reel

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

OMG... I can't believe you don't have the poinsettias!! It's one of my all-time faves. I bet I use it AS much to create every day patterns as I do for holiday cards. And you can colour so GREAT - you'll love colouring these!! GET IT! :D
