Wild Rose Studio - Bella

Happy New Year everybody!!!

I hope that you all had a good Christmas and that 2014 has some very exciting things lined up for you!
Did you get any crafty goodies for Christmas?  I got a full set of copic ciaos and a new printer as well as loads of other stuff so I have obviously been a very good girl!

I have today a card a made for Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine a while ago that I haven't been able to blog up till now for copyright reasons.  The stamp and papers are from Wild Rose Studio and this is the gorgeous Bella "First Christmas" stamp.

I coloured the image with my promarkers and layered up the image.   This is what I thought I'd use for my A little bit crafty "Celebrate" challenge as I've not really done much crafting for the whole of december although I have lots of stuff lined up for 2014!
I enjoyed the break from crafting but was starting to miss it!
 Thanks for looking!

Season's greetings!

Hiya everyone,

Just a quickie post from me today - I have quite a few hospital appointments in the next few weeks so I haven't really been crafting as I thought it best to take a wee break.  I'm not poorly but it's never nice to be poked and prodded at the hospital is it? :(

Anyhoo, this card is one of a set of two that I made for November issue of Making Cards magazine.  These Wild Rose Studio images made great boys cards which is what I was asked to make. This stamp is called "Antoine at postbox" which is coloured with my promarkers and it's super cute!  The papers are from Echo Parks "Winter wishes" 6x6 paperstack.

On a brighter note my little man is now 1 year old and I just couldn't resist sharing this piccie of him eating a jaffa cake!
I need to get a wriggle on and make Tayla's 3rd birthday card as that's coming up soon - where does the time go?

Hugs

Wild Rose Studio - Making Cards magazine

Hiya everyone,
I had a spare 5 minutes so I thought I'd share a card that I made for Making Cards Magazine for their June issue.  I used the Wild Rose Studio stamp "Birthday tree" and the My Mind's Eye "memorable" paperstack.  I coloured the image in with my promarkers.  I love kraft card which works really well with these papers.   This is my favourite Magnolia Doohickey swirl die and quickutz fancy corner die but I am conscious not to use too many dies as it can make projects every expensive!

Wild Rose Studio - Clean & Simple

Hiya everyone,

I have another Wild Rose Studio sample today for you that fits the bill for the new "Clean & Simple" challenge that starts today here at the A little bit crafty challenge here on my blog.

This stamp is Bella with Dahlia coloured in with promarkers.  Apart from my swiss dots embossing folder and a bit of ribbon I'd didn't use much else.  The sentiment is a Penny Black wooden one that my friend kindly gave me.  I layered up the flower, arms and truck for a bit of added depth.  The dew drops just finish it off.

I hope that you like it!  I don't often do CAS as I normally get a tad carried away with everything in my craft room.  Sometimes I have so much stuff I don't have any idea where to start! Lol

Wild Rose Studio DT sample

Hiya everyone,

I have an exciting day planned as the hubby and I are taking Tayla to the Trafford Centre to watch "In the night garden - LIVE" so we're going to have some alone time with her.  Nathan is at his nannas as he's a bit too young to appreciate it yet.  The bringing him back and we're all going out for tea so hopefully it'll be a great day.

I have a Wild Rose Studio sample that I made a few weeks back.  These are from the new Blackberry Lane Summer collection.  This image is called "Emily with dandelion" and is ever so cute.   I coloured the image in with my promarkers and used the new Wild Rose Studio matching Blackberry Lane papers too.  I decided to go with yellow as I've been so busy making Christmas stuff recently that I just fancied something different!  The sentiment is also from Wild Rose studio too!

It's not anything overly special as it was just one of a few quick and easy cards as I felt bad I'd not made samples to send it to Dulcie and Matthew since the trade show.  I decided to use this card as the card for my own "A little bit crafty" challenge as the theme is "Summer Sun" - there are some fab sponsor prizes up for grabs - to go to the original challenge post you can click on the "Current challenge here" badge to the top right!

Wild Rose Studio DT card

Hiya everyone,

Quick post from me as I've just realised that today is the 15th (thought it was tomorrow! Lol) which means it's time for the mid-way reminder for the A little bit crafty "Die-ing for it!" challenge.

My card is also one of my recent Wild rose Studio DT cards which I made a few weeks back.  The stamp is called "Teddy with Gerbera" and is so cute.  It's only coloured in dead with with promarkers as I was rushing to get as many samples made as I could as Dulcie and Mathew needed them for a trade fair.  The paper pad is also from Wild Rose Studio called Strawberry picnic and is nice and bright without being gawdy.  The bunting is cut from one of the petterned paper sheets and the flowers are from a Joy crafts flower die.  I think this floral oval nestie is my

I though I'd use this sample as I've used several die cuts on it and I've been so busy recently I've not really had chance to make anything else specially.  I have several lots of DT work in the pipeline for Cardmaking and Papercraft, Making Cards and Crafts Beautiful magazines so I've never been busier which means I haven't had as much time to blog!  I have just finished my DT card for the next A little bit crafty challenge which starts on the 1st August so am just about where I need to be although it's not easy with my 2 babies!  I actually made the front cover of Making Cards magzine in June with one of my Wild Rose Studio cards! Yay!

As I have been so busy I made the difficult decision to step down from the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge as it was hard finding enough hours in a day.  I really love my House Mouse and it was hard to leave such a fab team but I was struggling and I can still use my mousies for the Joanna Sheen Challenge and my own A little bit crafty challenge!
Thanks so much for looking and any comments are most appreciated!

Hiya everyone,
After faffing so much on the ALBC challenge post it only occured to me when I got into bed that I hadn't actually scheduled my actual challenge card - only added it to the post! Oops - so here it is!  The challenge for June is "Something sweet" which means we want to see any cards that have sweets/cakes/icecream on them or just a sweet image.  It's up to you!
Our lovely sponsors this month are offering us some lovely prizes to give away to you lucky people

We have some great sponsors for this challenge so we have some great prizes to give away

2 stamps of your choice

7 free digis

£15 voucher

****************
My card has been made with one of the  Bella stamps from Wild Rose Studio.  This one is called Bella with Teddy and I think it's very sweet indeed!  I have coloured it in with my promarkers and the papers that I used are also from Wild Rose Studio alled "Bella's Birthday"
I've not used too much stuff although it look reasonably busy.  I do love the Magnolia Doo Hickey swirl die which I used here as well as flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I also need more of those square doilies as I'm down to my last one!  I'm a bit tight though so often only use half a doily on a card like I've used here.  Also I don't like to cover up the paper too much!
I hope that you join in with my brand new challenge that has just started.  Please go to here for the actual challenge post!

Wild Rose Studio - Bella

 Hiya everyone,

This is one of my Wild Rose Studio samples that I made that I thought I'd share as part of the A little bit crafty "KRAFT it!" challenge.

This gorgeous Bella one is called "flower heart" and has been coloured in with my promarkers.  The papers are from my Wild Rose Studio "Always and Forever" paperstack and I have used my Doo hickey Doily flower die.  The sentiment is a craftwork cards one that I coloured with my promarker to tone it down.

This theme was a great one for me as I love using kraft card.  It's great as it tends to go with most colourways so you don't have to worry about having the wrong shade of whatever you're working with!

We have some fab sponsors of this challenge so there are some fab prizes up for grabs!!!

£10 Gift Voucher

Curio Digi kit and a £10 voucher for digital items in her shop

Raining Roses - Wild Rose Studio

Hiya everyone,

Today I have one of my Wild Rose studio DT samples which I'm using as my Mid-way reminder creation for the A little bit crafty  "Anything goes" challenge.  There are some amazing prizes up for grabs from our fab sponsors.  To check out the midway reminder post to see the other DT creations please click here.  If you want to go to the original challenge post to enter then please click here or the Current challenge here button to your right!

Anyhoo, back to my card - the stamp is called "Raining roses" which has been coloured in with my promarkers.  I normally do my bears lighter in colour so I did them darker for a change although I'm not sure I really like it! Lol

The papers are also from Wild Rose Studio and are from the "Always and forever" stack which is soooo lovely!  I didn't use much else apart from my Memory box "Cherish" border die which I love - the hearts in the top right corner are the bits that fell out!  I also used my quickutz fancy corner which I am overjoyed to have found after losing it for almost 12 months in my mess of a craft room!

I do hope that you come and join us at the "A little bit crafty" Challenge!

Hugs

New Wild Rose studio range

Hiya everyone,

I have been so busy the last few weeks making samples with all the new Wild Rose Studio goodies that we launched at the Stitches craft show last sunday.  We got stuff early so we could rush making some samples for on display.  They really are one of my favourite ranges of stamps.  I know you think I'm probably only saying that as I am on the DT but I have so little spare time that I actually have to turn DT work down so I only work with what I really like.  You can see the full range here.  I am very partial to House Mouse and Penny Blacks too but most people who know me will already know that! ;oD

For this sample I didn't use WRS papers as I really wanted to use these digi bee papers that I had.  It was a very rushed card as I made it the night before I had to send them off to make sure Dulcie and Matt got them in time for the trade show.

I coloured this "Bees with cupcake" image in really quickly with my promarkers and the papers are available here for 99p here.  The sentiment is also from the papers download.

I just had to make one with this image as I loved these cute little bees.  I have also been busy with some magazine work and have 2 new pieces yet to start - it's all go at the moment!

I have loads of Wild Rose Studio samples that I will continue to share as and when I get a spare few minutes which isn't often! Lol

Thanks for looking!

Wedding card - Wild Rose Studio

Hiya everyone,

I'm trying to actually find the time to blog the cards that I have been making as I have missed making and sharing them with you.  This is another of the new Wild Rose Studio "Love and Wedding" range that have just been launched.  This little cutie is called "Just married" and is soooo sweet.

I decided to go very light and natural with this so I used some paper from the man about town papers which are also by Wild Rose Studio.  I coloured the image in with my promarkers and flexmarkers as per usual.  It looks a bit wishy washy but I'm still using my camera on my phone which isn't ideal.

I only used a little lace, a couple of flourishes, some cream roses and a few pearls.  The sentiment is one of many old rubber wood backed stamps that I have.

I will enter this into the following challenge(s):-

4 crafty chicks - Pearls, pearls, pearls
Crafty ribbons - Love/romance/anniversary
Craft us crazy - Celebrate love and/or the colour red
Sarah Hurley challenge - Celebrate
Aud Sentiments - BINGO (happy/die cut/flowers)
Penny's paper crafty - Teddy bears

Thanks for looking!
