I am going to place this LO onto Scrap Africa's blog as well for their Challenge#2- Fabscrape Challenge...please visit their blog as well!
The title was die cut twice using Donna's Alphas and the top layer was torn and distressed...
The swirl was first stamped with a script stamp and chalk, using chalk as I am going to use embossing powder and I don't want the script to be embossed. Then I stamped a flower motif with clear embossing ink and clear embossing powder. After heat setting it, I blended my colours onto it. Then using a damp cloth I swiped the ink of the embossed areas showing the resist of the clear embossing! A great Tim Holtz technique that I love to use!
This swirl was stamped with white Dabber ink and also blended when the ink was dry. Also wiped the excess ink from the stamped image with a damp cloth.
The frame I am calling my Piece-de-Resistance!!! I really love how it turned out! I first blended my colours onto it, then I stamped the brick work image on. The absolute fun part comes with the random application of clear UTEE... while it is still warm, I dabbed some mist on to it, added some more UTEE and heat it again. Just love how the UTEE moves and shapes taking the colours on a ride!
The rest of the LO is just some basic tearing and layering and of course lots of distressing with some handmade flowers added to it all.
Thank you...if you do like...please be so kind as to dot down a word or two. I love reading your comments and appreciate you taking the time to leave them!
