Sunset Mani

This weeks theme for my Facebook stamping group was "do a mani based on something you've learned from the group".

Well; I've learned to make gradients and this sunset mani... I've seen so many beautiful versions of this mani. As usual, I had to try my version...

Here are the colors I used for the gradient... Essence Snow White Collecion 01 Snow White, 46 Wake Up, Snow White Collection 03 Doc, 23 Sun Dancer... I stamped the Palm trees using Konad Special Black and Saloon Express plate. I used Seche for top coat. And... done... :)

I've come a long way in nail art since I started blogging and that's because of the helpful and creative people I've followed and met in groups. If it wasn't for them, I would not be doing the things I'm doing right now. Believe me, I've made some really nice friends while swapping, too. And it is nice to know that there are people in this world sharing the same ambition with you... I want to thank each and every one of them...

Thanks for reading...

August 30th Victory Day Mani

Today is Victory Day in Turkey.

Victory Day (local name: Zafer Bayramı) on August 30 is a national holiday in Turkey to commemorate the victory in the Battle of Dumlupınar, the final battle in the Turkish War of Independence in 1922.

So for this special day, I made a Turkish Flag mani. I've seen this mani before at Angelina's Nails, and wanted to try, but I did not have the proper plates... So when I got the Salon Express nail art kit and saw this image, I had no more excuses left... :)

We respectfully commemorate Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of Turkish Republic.
