Llandudno and Conway

Just a few photos along the seafront after the rain.

Later in Conway, beautiful sunny day.

The expected arty shot.

We are having fun, doing a few different things, staying dry, we are eating out all the time, our apartment has a full kitchen which we are not using. A lovely birthday meal was enjoyed but hubbies older sister, who was completely surprised on us being here.

Last look

From the top of Battersea chimney, the old power station is now a shopping complex and newly built up area, there is a glass lift inside one chimney, we were lucky only 6 people in our's loads of room to view London..

Inside
loads of the old mechanics of the building on show.

Iconic view,
old and new
Fun on Tower bridge,
we walked across the two towers under the top section.

Uber water taxi,
a great way to get around.
Millennium bridge, we walked across twice.
The Golden Hinde

Poppies at Traitors gate,
Tower of London.
My birthday lunch was in China Town.
Liberty's

This is my final London post, I took so many photos, we made so many great memories, we planed our day to walk away from our hotel and then jumped on the underground to get back, its much easier now you don't have to purchase tickets, just tap your card at beginning and end of every journey.

We do love to walk everywhere, we again found lovely spots, things not always in any guide, different places to eat, our hotel has a brilliant restaurant, we did not use it preferring to find different places when out and about. Nothing beats turning a corner and finding a treasure, we stumbled on The Golden Hinde.

Thanks to Steve

Our trip to London was brilliant, 4 days gave us plenty of time to wander, we averaged over 16,000 steps each day, Steve on his blog Shadow and Light found this statue on his walks, situated close to St Paul's cathedral. Well worth the walk to find it, a friendly local told us it's only here for this year, afterwards it will be replaced.

On another post Steve took an evening cruise, we have had many lunchtime cruises, the night cruise was much nicer, so many landmarks lit, here is just a few. This was just after 6pm, so not too late.

So thanks to Steve, we had two different adventures, its good to see a different side to the capital city. We caught the lunch time National express coach home for a much needed rest, no plans for the rest of the day, my knees and feet are happy to be still, a takeaway for tea and an early night. More photos next time.

Thank you everyone for my birthday wishes, it been a fun week, I know I am blessed to be able to have such a good time, the weather was kind, we did not use our coats at all, my scarf and gloves were not necessary,  just a few spots of rain on Friday. It was cool enough to walk around in just our fleeces, sadly most of the Christmas things were starting next week.

It's a jolly holiday

Friday we left at lunch time, stopped off for a pub meal with Grandpa and Grandma, sadly the food was not that great, most of us left food, but it did not dampen our spirts. We were pleased with our accommodation, situated on the edge of the park, next to fields, really quiet, with a lockable decking area safe for George, who can be a runner.
My three favourite little people, we spent Saturday morning at the splash pool, all three are waterbabies, they loved it, the sun came out but it was still cool. After a great lunch we spent the hottest part of the day back in our accommodation, later we went to the club house for early evening tots dancing time, which Molly and George  loved.
Sunday was a repeat, time at splash pool and then lunch, later Grandma and Grandpa popped over, we sat inside out of the sun, it was much warmer now, much later we walked to clubhouse for tea, sadly George became overwhelmed, had a meltdown, once we calmed him down he was tired so mummy and Will went back to our accommodation, I stayed longer with Molly so she could take part in the tots dance party.
George has now to wear glasses, here he is happy, but he won't keep them on, which is OK its going to take time, but he does leave them anywhere, these were expensive as is most children's bits, keeping them safe is the priory. He has never worn his hearing aids, he hates them, hopefully he will be happier with glasses.

We were staying less than an hours drive from home, very close to Grandpa and Grandma's house on Hayling Island, so they spent time with us. The accommodation was clean with every modern kitchen items, including airfryer, and a pod coffee machine, we did not do any cooking, eating out so mummy had less to do. The site was a simple style with a larger inside swimming pool, and another outside and the splash pool. I found the food on site to be excellent all fresh ingredients and not overpriced, a perfect venue for families. It was really close to the local pebble beach, we did not leave the site, there was enough to do for our short stay.

The weather was spectacular, blue skies and hot, we returned home before the heatwave, it would have been too hot for the younger two. Mummy rested and we both spent loads of time laughing at our wonderful trio, every evening once the younger two had swapped beds a few times, it was quiet and restful.

We spent Sunday with Grandma and Grandpa, she made a lovely lunch and the children played outside in the shade. It was pleasing to only have a short drive home, I was pleased to be home, exhausted, so a snacky tea, shower and early night.

Today I did nothing, between the heat and tiredness it has been a lazy day, hubby ensure the garden was watered whilst I was away and was rewarded with loads of raspberries, normally ate before they reach our kitchen, he enjoyed the peace at home. Got a few things happening this week, hubby is having loads of test at local hospital,  he has had heart issues for years, but recently he not been to well. We are not planning to do much for the rest of the week, just a quiet time which we both need.

Veg gardens in Heligan

I'm not going to apologise for more photos, I took so many, I was not expecting so many cultivated gardens, they are laid so pretty and full of succession planting, they grow all they require. Northside Dave, you would love to see the well tended rows of different crops.

Hubby with local

They have loads of huge cold frames and old wooden greenhouses, many built along the sunny walls, full of tender fruiting plants and home grown young plants. All the sunny walls had fruit trees and bushes fanned along them.

Love these

It was a bit too early for the cut flower beds, they were planted, everywhere was stunning. Tulips were on their last flush.

The weather was perfect, dry and hot, some of the lower parts were still a bit muddy, hubby did state he would not have thought to visit, but he was happy to walk around, he took his big camera and tooks loads of photos. I too had my big camera, but most of my photos here are from phone camera.

Both our car journeys were brilliant, clear roads and no holdups, we did set out for home on Wednesday at 7am, just to beat the heat of the day.

A perfect few days away, Lilly was OK she jumped into my arms when I picked her up, I don't think she was happy being inside for so long. She was straight into our garden where she happily played for hours, later she snuggled on my lap, so I'm forgiven.
