Magnolia Down Under - Guest Design Week 4!

Its my fourth week of guest designing for Magnolia Down Under and I'm so sad cos after this challenge I will only have one more to show you for next week and my Month of being a guest will be up. But, aaaah. Happy days and challenges these have been while I've been making cards and posting them for you!

So HUGE thank yous to Kellie and the girls at MDU!

This week, the Magnolia Down Under girls would like to see shaped cards. Circles, rectangles, diamonds, tents, side steppers – choice is yours!

I’ve gone for a Tent Card and even though I’ve had this Edwin since the start of the new year, I’ve never INKED him before now...SHOCKING!
Please forgive the funny bends in the card, I took the photo without letting it all dry, but now its all nice and straight looking, no wavy lines lol
I used VersaFine Black Onyx to stamp him out and mask him with the swing, then coloured him with distress inks, used K&Co papers, added some raffia and some buttons. I didn’t put a sentiment on as I wasn’t sure what kinda occasion I was going to use him for. Turns out I have him on my shelf – Looking down on me – Keeping me company while he swings away happily!
Here is a little close up of him!

I am entering this card in to the following challenges

Stamp Something - Two of something. I used two magnolia images - Edwin and his Swing
&
ABC Challenge - Unused Stash - Well having not inked up Edwin counts!

Thanks for visiting.
Please pop along to Magnolia Down Under and check out the fabulous work the team have come up with! Also – if you can – put a couple of hours aside and join in with the challenge! The girls would love to see your creations.

Magnolia Down Under - Guest Design Week 3! + Just Magnolia

This week at Magnolia Down Under is Black + Cream/White + ONE other colour.

As you can see I've gone for BLUE!
I've used Tilda Holding Apple from the Spring Collection along with the three butterflies, also in the collection.
I've used Papermania Papers from the Capsule Collection (Black and White) and blue and black card for Matting.
Sentiment Stamp is also from the spring kit. Ribbon and gems from stash
I have used Distress ReInkers to colour the images, and added some glamour dust to certain aspects of the butterflies and on the trim of Tilda's dress.

Have a look at the Teams creations at Magnolia Down Under - they will be sure to inspire you!

I am entering this card into Just Magnolia's - One for the Girls.
They have some amazing creations also, so please check them out too!

Just Magnolia - It takes two!

As I've not entered in a while, I thought I'd better do a card this week for Just Magnolia
Its the Monthly Special and they are asking us to use more than one Magnolia Stamp - excluding any sentiments so I've used more than one Magnolia Stamp!
Four in fact (using one three times).

No Papers, No Embellishments, No Gems, No Ribbon (panic attack!)
Just
300gsm Watercolour Card
Distress ReInkers
Versafine Onyx Black Ink Pad
Water Brush
Glue and Glamour Dust

I masked Tilda first then Edwin, I then put the Surfboard down, then Masked the tip of that and stamped the fence three times.
If Tilda was not there you'd see a gap in the fence where they gain access to the beach hehe!

Thanks for popping by and leaving any comments you do. I'm curious as to what people think of this.

Magnolia Down Under Guest Design Spot & some more Magnolia Candy

Hello Magnolia fans!

A few months ago, the lovely Kellie asked me if I'd like to guest design for Magnolia Down Under for the month of May - so here I am.

This week they have a fabulous Sponsor - Tracey from Spesch Designer Stamps. Tracey is offering either three of the gorgeous Digital Stamps or a Clear Polymer Stamp of Bonnie. Check out the Spesch Blog to find out more about the stamps.

This is the sketch this week, designed by the fabulous Kellie.

I fretted about it at first as I was so stuck for what to do. Then I got my thinking cap on and came up with this:

I've used K&Co papers from Ancestry, gems, ribbon, charm and sentiment from stash
The fabulous leaf and the paper in the back ground which is text are from Mummylade (Helene). I won them in one of her Candy-Give-Aways, and I've only just got round to using them. The paper is ancient - well 1936 I think it said on the top. I almost didn't want to use it. It was so delicate and easily ripped.
I coloured Tilda with Distress Inks, mainly using Tattered Rose, Tea Dye, Antique Linen, Walnut Stain and a tiny bit of Black Soot
Thank you so much Kellie for allowing to guest design for you for the month of May.

**********

To celebrate this month GDT spot. I'm offering one lucky crafter the chance to win this Brand New Stamp which I bought from Magnolia Down Under store which is now Tickled Pink Stamps
Lady Bug Tilda

All you have to do is leave your name and blog with Mr Linky and leave me a comment to tell me which is your favourite Magnolia Stamp!
If you can play along with MDU that would be an added bonus!
I'l draw the winner on the 8th of May ready for my next MDU challenge GDT post
Good Luck

Stamped Image Box for Papertake Weekly and Stamp Something

My good friend Donna posted on her blog the other day a box she made following a tutorial. The box she made was to store Stamped Images - So I had a look at the tutorial and had a go myself. The tutorial can be found here
I have used a bright blue card for the main part of the box, and white card for the accordion sides.
I've layered some Blueberry Hill papers onto a light blue Core'dinations card stock and distressed both edges and added some Vintage photo to give an aged effect.
I have used Lady Tilda and coloured her with Distress Inks.
This is the front view, I've created the 'Once Upon a Stamp' with the PC with the font Scriptina Pro.
I've used Prince Philip the Frog (small version) too and coloured him to match the papers with Distress Inks
Here is the Fairytale Snail (small version) which was in the Spring Kit
and last but not least - Lady Tilda.

I am entering this Stamped Image Box into two challenge as the title of my post would suggest

Papertake Weekly Challenge (Cutie Pie) - Keep it nice and cute!
and
Stamp Something (I'm hoping I can enter this box as its different from my card and I couldnt find anything to say I couldnt enter twice, if by chance a second entry is not allowed - please ignore my posting)

Magnolia Down Under - Sketch

This week over at Magnolia Down Under the girls have a fabulous sketch for us all to follow!

I have gone with two of the new Easter Stamps - 'Floral Background' and 'Hello! Tilda' which I purchased from Crafts U Love back in February and showed up about 1 week ago and I've only just inked them! - Shocking!

The papers are also by Magnolia and are called - 'Turquoise Rose' and 'Vintage Blue Quilt', again purchased from Crafts U Love at the same time.

I've coloured Tilda and the Background with Distress ReInkers, and added some Prima Flowers secured with some pearl brads. I have not put a sentiment on as my printer has been playing up and I have no Easter sentiment stamps. I guess I could have put a 'hello' sentiment on, but went with another flower. I hope the girls don't mind too much!

Thank you for popping by xxx

Stampin' for the Weekend DT - Its Nearly Easter

Well - I'm kinda back on track. I made this Easter Themed Project for Stampin' for the Weekend a little while ago when I got my delivery of last years Magnolia Easter stamps that I bought from the Magnolia Web shop.

This fortnights Sponsor is
Dulcie from Wild Rose Studio and she has kindly offered one lucky winner not one, but TWO stamps from the cute Milton Collection!
So onto my project -
The circular box was a gift with some cheese in it for Christmas. I left it to air a little as it was still smelling of feet - yuk - and didn't think I'd enjoy the chocolate tasting like cheese either!

I've used papers by We Are Memory Keepers - Jingle Jangle, Magnolia Tilda, and a Martha Stewart Heart Border Punch.

I used Distress Re-Inkers to colour the image, and cut her out using the Deckled Edge labels die in the Cuttlebug

Another view of some gorgeous naughties!! I have to admit, they are no longer in the box - just lots of foil and wrappers hehe
Our Guest Designer this week is Heather - Who has used a gorgeous House Mouse stamp - so pop on over and have a looksie!

Don't forget to visit the team blogs too, all can be found in my side bar, and on the Stampin' for the Weekend Blog. The girls take a lot of time out of their heavy schedules of being a mummy, wife, girlfriend, housework (which I'm sure they wont begrudge), and even when they've finished a day of work, they all make time out to leave you wonderful comments - so leaving them a little love would be nice!

I've made a card for my sister, who celebrates her birthday on the 15th February.
I've made the card with a few challenges in mind. I first saw the challenge over at
Magnolia Down Under which was Pink and Grey - Gorgeous combination, and I loved playing with the pinks and greys!

Stamp with Fun

Ladybug Hearts Tilda has a staff with a heart and also donning a gorgeous head band (antennae) of little hearts too!

ABC Challenge

Sketch Saturday
have a beautiful sketch to follow which was so easy, and the team have flipped and turned, but I was happy with it the way it was. Except of course using an oval instead of the circle!!

My card then! ...

Magnolia Down Under ~ an Orange Girly Sketch!

Over at Magnolia Down Under Challenge blog - The girls have given a sketch to follow which can be seen here. Not only is there a sketch, but, it MUST be GIRLY and some ORANGE must be seen too!
They're not asking much are they!! Pffffh!

I've created a box which is going to be going to a dear friend with some crafting goodies inside, and this is how I have decorated the top.
I've used this gorgeous Tilda from the 'Pink Collection' from last year which were created to raise money and awareness of Breast Cancer.
This is the first time I've used her, and I thought she'd only look good in PINK, how wrong was I?? I love this colour combo on her, and will probably use it more often.

A close up of her! I've used Distress Inks to colour her - I think I'm getting better at them.. Well I hope I am :D)
I've used Shabby Shutters for her shirt and socks, and Spiced Marmalade for her dress. I cheated and used Copics for her fleshy bits! (E50, E00, E51, R11 and R20).
Another angle of the box.

Ingredients
Tilda and sentiment from Magnolia, Bloom and Grow Papers by MME, Distress Inks, MS Heart Border Punch, Large flower from Wild Orchid Crafts and the smaller cherry blossom ones I won in a gorgeous candy from Helene - The flowers are the only item I can bare to touch and use (as there are a few of them, and I felt I could spare two!), the rest is so delicious I don't want to use it! Keep looking at it and 'wow' its amazing, I feel so lucky! Thank you Helene!
The ribbon and charm are from my stash.

Thank you for popping by and please take a peek at the DT's creations over at MDUC blog as they are amazing!
