Greyed blue creme
139 is a gorgeous Airforce blue creme. I totally love this shade of blue.
The bottle is 11ml and unfortunately comes with a super wide brush which I just managed to work with my narrow nails although my little finger was a close run thing. Oh and the bottle says "7 days wear" - hmm, unlikely!
Swatches are 2 coats, no top coat and this is very shiny and 'enamel' looking.
Fashion Make-Up is a French brand I've never heard of and this cost me the grand total of £1.40 from a French sale site.

Studio - Christmas Nail Collection!
Low priced cremes some with hidden shimmer
Studio is from Superdrug (UK drugstore) - it's a real cheapy line but I've found the quality to be fine.
The following is the Studio Christmas collection 2011, I know, I know, it's September 2012!
The bottles are not big but not mini, probably 7 or 8ml
Greige - like the name implies this is your usual purple toned grey/brown creme, quite a dark version and with silver micro shimmer
The micro shimmer is what lifts this above all the other 'greige' polishes.
Swatch is 2 coats with no top coat
Willow - lovely greyed green creme, again not super unique but nicely done.
Swatch is 2 coats with no top coat
Shadow - blue toned grey creme, but again with the microshimmer. The shimmer is pretty subtle but adds a nice speckled effect to the polish
Again swatch is 2 coats with no top coat
Jade - bright green leaning blue creme, almost neon and it's a one-coat wonder.
Swatch - one coat!
Orchid - neon purply pink
Swatch is 2 coats again but this one dries semi-matte due to it's neon tendancies so I added a top coat for shine
To me this collection didn't scream Christmas, it was just a bundle of random but good polishes
Overall this was a great collection for the price which was well below £10 and in a 3 for 2 deal.
Obviously you can't just go and pick this collection up but the Studio range is still sold in Superdrug and judging by the polish names I don't think they are special Christmas colours

W7 - Blue Lagoon
Another W7 for you gals - I found the old photos I took, no mean feat as I have over 2000 images (multiples of each colour) in my unsorted swatches folder - eeek!
Boy this one's a beaut!

Sun
Shade
Blue Lagoon is a wonderful blurple with silver glitter
Perfect coverage in 2 coats, no topcoat. Again I'm very impressed with the quality and coverage of a pretty cheap polish - nice!

W7 - Fluorescent Blue (that isn't)
I picked this up on a recent trip to TJ Hughes (a discount retailer in the UK) - I'd tried some W7 before (which I haven't posted yet - bad blogger) and the colour intrigued me.
W7 are a low cost cosmetics brand that I've only seen in discount cosmetics & perfume places. They make a full range of cosmetics but of course I've only bought nail polish! I thimk the price was around £3, maybe less
The bottles are a good size and pretty dupey for OPI bottles.

I didn't realise till I logged the swatch in my text file that it was called Fluorescent Blue - it's not fluorescent, not even a little bit. In my book it's a
sky blue pearl.
This is 3 coats, no topcoat as usual and surprisingly brushstroke free.
I must admit I like it a lot more on the nail than in the bottle - what do you lovely ladies think?

La Femme - Teal
Just a quick post to share a cheap n' cheerful polish with you.
La Femme is is a low cost UK brand. You tend to find them in discount perfume stores, on the web and on market stalls and they can usually be picked up for £1-1.50. The bottle is oddly shaped, tall and narrow (but thankfully still fits in the Helmer) and together with the tacky printing, for me, just reinforces the cheapness.
I've bought several from this brand and I think it's fair to they're pretty variable in quality/opaqueness.
But this is one of the good ones!

Shade
This is Azure, a teal shimmer that is veering towards frost but manages to pull back in the nick of time. Two coats with top coat. Application and brush were fine and it's a pretty colour. All in all, a win!

Beauty UK - Glam Nails - Electric Purple
This is another cheapie brand I found in Superdrug, I have bought several of their eye shadow collections (very cheap but good colour payoff and handy size for travelling) but never seen the nail polish before. Again I think this was a Sheffield or Solihull purchase.
Please welcome, Electric Purple
Shade

Nubar Matte topcoat
It's a bright purple with fuschia shimmer and fine glitter
It's slightly sheer, this is 3 coats, no topcoat, apart from the matte tc in the 2nd pic!
I really like it with the matte topcoat, makes it feel less 80s!
Any other UK gals seen these around?
And I haven't forgotten about my giveaway it's just been a hectic week and it's taking longer to sort out than I thought!

Cheapies
Last weekend I was over in Slough. It's fair to say that Slough is not the most high end shopping experience, so after splurging at TK Maxx (TJ Maxx to US readers) I went cheapie hunting and boy, did I haul! I picked up 20 polishes, all of which were less than £3 each and most were less than £2. Some brands I'd heard of (NYX, Star Gazer, Wet n' Wild, Sleek and W7) and some were new to me (X-Plode, Make-up Academy and Go) and a mixture of US and UK brands.
First up is Mystery from Make-up Academy

It's a slightly grey toned dark blue shimmer with the blue leaning towards Air Force blue and some fine silver glitteriness.
This is 2 coats with topcoat. For a polish that cost £1.99 the application was pretty sweet, the brush was a good length and shape and the polish was opaque in two coats.
I really like this colour, the shimmer is good and I like the fact that it's not your bog standard deep blue shimmer, of which I have too many to mention!
I bought this (and two other colours) from Savers, a discount drugstore and I'm assuming it's their own brand and is unique to them.
