Nails Inc - Mayfair
Off-white pearl
Happy New Year - a bit of a slow start to the year (and a quiet December) but my plan is to keep chipping away at my blog in 2017!

Mayfair is an pearl finish polish in a slightly off white, I think Nails Inc called it oyster white. There's a smidge of pink and some warm grey/putty in there I'd say.
Swatches were 2 coats (but 3 on my pinky finger) and for a white pearl finish the brush strokes weren't too bad at all.
I'm not much of a fan of white polishes but I don't mind this - it's clean but soft.
And there are many, many Nails Inc Mayfairs - Mayfar Mews, Mayfair Gardens, Mayfair Lane and Mayfair Court!

Debby Gel Play - 23 Milk White
White creme
23 Milk White is a gel-effect slightly soft white creme - the softness stops it looking too much like I've painted my nails with tippex!
Swatches are 3 coats and for a white polish, application was pretty good.
I don't have a lot of white polishes, I don't think I'd ever wear white as a regular polish and I'm yet to dabble in nail art where finding the perfect white polish is key.
Who'd have thought, out of the Debby polishes I've shared so far, this is definitely the best.

Superdry - Urban Concrete
Off-white greyish creme
Another Superdry bargain from TK Maxx
Urban Concrete suits its name well, it's an off-white greyish creme with maybe a hint of green?
Definitely in the same family as Nubar's Faded Putty that I shared recently but without the pink tinge.
Application was good but it did take 3 coats, not too surprising for such a pale colour.
I really like this one, in fact I haven't had a duff Superdry polish yet...

Mavala - Silver Angel
Shimmery sheer white pearl
Silver Angel isn't silver, but it does have an angelic, silvery feel to it.
This is the kind of colour I wore many years ago at school, I was a fan of a mildy pearlescent finish plus it didn't show up too much so I was less likely to get in trouble with the teachers!
I'd describe it as a slightly sheer, shimmery white frost. Mavala, on the bottle, describe it as a pearl, but anything that isn't creme is pearl in their books!
Swatch shown is 2 coats, no top coat.

Alessandro - Stone Washed topped with Maybelline Polka Dots in Chalk Dust
Dusty blue creme and a black/white glitter topcoat.
First up an Alessandro polish in Stone Washed
Stone Washed is a fantastic mildy dusty blue creme.
It's super shiny and a one-coat-wonder!
This is a 10ml Alessandro. Stoned Washed is from the Denim Diva collection and has a matte silver lid rather than the usual glossy black.
To me this isn't the colour of stone-washed denim at all, but it is gorgeous!
So I decided to try out one of the Maybelline Polka Dots topcoats which are somewhat similar to the nails inc sprinkles and much more similar to the L'Oreal confetti top coats.
Stone Washed topped with 1 coat Maybelline Color Show Polka Dots in Chalk Dust
Chalk Dust has a clear base with black & white matte different sized glitter. Coverage is very good and with just a little work you can get a great effect from just one coat.
I wouldn't say the effect is much like Polka Dots but I do like it a lot!
The other colours in the Polka Dots collection have coloured jelly bases which probably makes Chalk Dust the most versatile.

Nails Inc - Floral Street
White creme
This is number 6 in my collection of nails inc that are now available at selected Sephora.
And it's a first for me, an opaque white, Floral Street
Nails inc describe Floral Street as brilliant white and I'd go along with that, it's definitely a pure white and I was a little aprehensive that this would apply and look like tippex, but I was pleasantly surprised; application was good and while it's definitely stark it doesn't look too much like the manicures I used to do as a 13 year old whilst bored in double physics...
And although I don't have any other experience of white cremes I've read enough to think that 2 coats to non-streaky opaqueness isn't half bad.
