China Glaze Split Perso-Nail-ity

Welcome to March everyone.  I have the first of 3 polishes from the China Glaze Tranzitions collection to show you today.  This collection is interesting because the polishes go on one color, but change colors when you add top coat.  This gives lots of options and can make for some easy nail art/designs.

Split Perso-Nail-ity is a light rose with a hidden shimmer and a slight purple/lavender tinge.  The formula is a little thick, but application is good and you could almost get away with just 1 coat of polish.  I used 2 for these photos over Finger Paints base coat.  Here's the polish without top coat:

Once you add top coat, Split Perso-Nail-ity becomes a darker rose, but the top coat makes the polish look streaky.  There is a distinct color difference with the top coat.  I did each nail differently to show some ideas on how wear this polish.  I used China Glaze Fast Forward top coat.

If you look at my pinky you can really see how streaky the polish looks once you add top coat.  I'm disappointed by that because I think the color with top coat would be really pretty if it didn't streak.  My favorite design is the polka dots.

Nicole by OPI Got Style

It's the start of a new week, but the end of another month.  And winter is only 1/3 rd over.  I think I need to move to a tropical island where it's in the 70s or 80s all year.  And sunny most of the time.  I like sun.  Sun is nice.
Today's polish, Got Style from Nicole by OPI, has been giving me a hard time trying to figure out how to describe the color.  The closest I've gotten is a rusty rose.  If any of you can come up with a better description please share.

The pigmentation of Got Style was good as was formula and application.  This one is a shimmery metallicy finish and is from the Wal-Mart exclusive collection.  I used 1 coat Seche Base, 2 coats Got Style, and 1 coat Seche Vite top coat.

I am not a fan of this polish.  There's nothing specifically wrong with it, it just doesn't speak to me.  Personally I would say give this one a pass unless you like to buy full collections.

Zoya Gloria

Today I have for you the other champagne metallic from the new Zoya Fire & Ice collection.  Gloria is described as pink champagne, but again that description doesn't quite feel right to me.

Gloria has more a white merlot feel to me.   It is a very pretty dark rose metallic with gold foil particles, just like Tiffany.  Application was the same as Tiffany as well.  A little sheer at three coats for me, but lots of sparkle.  The formula was great as well.  Again I used one coat China Glaze Strong Adhesion base, 3 coats Gloria, and one coat Seche Vite top.

Just like with Tiffany, I had issues with the foil wanting to stay on my fingers during removal.  I found that wiping the polish off in only one direction helped keep the glitter fingers to a minimum however.
While I still wouldn't call Gloria a going out on Friday night polish, I'll probably wear her for more than family events.
