More parties

Wednesday was fun as usual this week, though extra special as the afternoon girls and the night girls had their Christmas parties. There were delicious treats in the afternoon and delightful Secret Santa gifts too. Diana crocheted these lovely hearts.

Paddy cross stitched this beautiful cushion.
Roni wowed us with this cute reindeer and tiny house.
We all loved Jayne's gorgeous elves!

Beth made this lovely little purse and I was lucky enough to receive it.
I made this pouch with hexagons and my liberty scraps.

It was just as special in the evening. We met for dinner as usual at the club and then exchanged our Secret Santa gifts. They were just lovely. Weren't we spoilt? The runner was made by Lyn, the teatowels by Deanna, the decoration by Jenny, the elf mat and coasters by Margaret, the angels by Anita and the pouch by Barbara.

I received all of these goodies from Judy and my gift is the one below.

It was all great fun!

Still stitching and making....

Best catch up on the stitching being done here. I am still keeping up with my Stitch Therapy 365. We are up to about 130 stitcheries. Here are a few of the latest ones.

I bought this lovely pattern, with the printed fabric, from Anni Downs in Melbourne and just loved stitching it.
This is a very old project. I stitched these pictures in about 2006 and finally added some sashings to make the quilt. It is a baby one so I am not sure who to give it to now!!! You can't rush these things!
I have enjoyed crocheting this scarf. It was such lovely soft wool.
Margot was finishing the binding on this sashiko table runner on Wednesday day. It has turned out so well.

Lovely sewing

Sp special to see what the social and class girls have been achieving recently. Janet is a wonderful sewer and is creating these amazing outfits for her little girls to wear to a Great Gatsby party. The 2 outfits she has completed have a dress and coat and one even has a beautiful little hat!

Lynda has been so busy making special Christmas goodies for her little granddaughter. What a very lucky little miss.

Roni has been making beautiful items too. This runner is just beautiful. The colours are lovely and soft so my photos don't do it justice.

Roni has also made this little pouch. I just love the hexagons all made with Japanese yarn dyed fabrics.
Margaret in the evening class has been using her little scraps to make these great mini quilts.

She also made this lovely soft flannel blanket for a new little baby. This is just one of many! Lucky babies and new mums.

Inspiration....

We had last Wednesday afternoon off from class so it was very inspiring to see what some of the ladies have been working on when we met this past week. Lynne has been very busy with her cross stitch and her lovely needleturn using yarn dyed fabrics.

Roni has made this wonderful Santa!
Jayne has been very busy and has created these lovely pin cushions. The blue one even has its' own little bag to keep it safe.

Jayne bought this gorgeous runner as a kit from Anni Downs and has done an amazing job making it up!

Jayne was also using this lovely zippered pouch for her favourite needleturning tools!
Last night, I went to stitching and Heather has created these amazing felt baubles and mat. They are her own design and are just gorgeous.

Meanwhile I have been knitting, finished a crochet scarf and started my Part 8 of Dancing Chickens and Flying Pigs.
