Hello Birthday Girl

During the last days I have had problems with my back. And because it was rather painful, I was not able to craft. But sometimes you just have to! For instance when there is a children's birthday in the family.
Last week one of our granddaughters
had her sixth birthday, and we celebrated together with her and her family on Saturday. It was so good to come together again after months of covid restrictions!
I made her this simple card, or perhaps it is a big tag?
The card or tag is upcycled. The card board is taken from a food box.

I used: Patterned paper: Lozzy (ABMTTC) and different scrap papers.
Image: Beccy.
Dies: Technique Tuesday Birthday, Poppy: Hip Hello, Marianne Design: Banner.
Punches: MS Letters, EK Success Flower.
Silver glitter, water colour on some of the flowers, green and brown fine liners.

Birthday Card

Here comes a new birthday card from me today.
Also this is meant for Norway.
I used:
White card stock,
Creme paper,
Red and green scrap papers.
Embossing folder: Efco.
Flower punch: Gütermann.
Dies: Elizabeth "Curvy leaves".
Brown distress ink and pen for the banner (hand cut).
Rhinestone, glitter.
Tool: Cuttlebug.

Birthday Card With Yellow Flowers

I made a birthday card with a Norwegian birthday greeting.
The inspiration for this card I got from the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge
over at The Paper Players.

I used:
Cream cardstock,
Brown paper,
Cream, yellow, orange and green scrap papers.
Embossing folder: Darice.
Banner die: Marianne Design,
Leaves: Elizabeth "Curvy Leaves" die.
Flowers: EK Success punches.
Brown distress ink, white pen.
Glitter and Rhine stone.
Sentiment written on computer.
Tool: Cuttlebug.

I chose the diagonal line: "florals, yellow, die-cut"
and also this line "florals, birthday wood".

Not so much sunshine, but I think the yellow flowers are a sort of small suns.

Cuttlebug Mania Challenge: Sketch

We have come to the last Cuttlebug Mania Challenge
before summer break.
This time we want you to use this sketch.
And please, read our guide lines!

I think some of our followers have discovered
that I don't comment on their cards any more.
The reason is that Blogger does not allow me to comment!
Since a couple of months
I have had problems with my account.
So sorry for that!
I hope that this problem can be solved.

Here is my card:

I used:
White card stock,
Pink, purple and black papers.

I played with the Nuvo Shimmer Powder and used it on the smallest half circle.
The inspiration I got after watching Tiffany Almeida's video on Sunday.
Unfortunately  you cannot see the beautiful shimmer on this photo.

With my Cuttlebug:
Embossing folder: Cuttlebug,
Smallest half circle: Spellbinders Circle Die,
Bigger half circle: Sizzix Dotted Circle Die.

The banner is  hand cut.
I also used 4 half pearls and a silver pen for the letters and the faux stitches.

Hamburger And Fries Birthday Card

At first I want to say welcome as a follower of my blog, Verna!
And then I want to thank Beccy for the February prize!

(we are still on the 1.of March here in Europe),
I bought her new digital stamps.
And here is my first card with "Hamburger and fries".

New Friends

I still feel like a newbie in colouring.
But due to many positive comments, I try again and again.
Also this time I made a card with a lovely old House Mouse stamp,
and perhaps it might be a Valentine's card?

Recipe:
Creme card stock,
Creme and grey marbled paper (Sigel),
Pink scrap paper for the heart.
White card stock for the stamp.
Image: "Fish Bowl", House Mouse 1998,
coloured with watercolour pencils and a brush.
Sentiment: Beccy,
Banner: hand cut,
Heart die: Spellbinders.
Brown distress ink for the banner
and brown pen for the faux stitches.

One More Halloween Card

I do not like the spookiest Halloween cards.
So I made another one with this cute cat from Beccy.
I love cats. :)

Recipe:
White double card A6,
Yellow card stock.
Patterned paper: A Bit More Time To Craft.
Cat and banner images: Beccy (Scaredy Cats).

A Fabulous First Day

Late last evening I bought some new digi stamps,
and I just had to play with a couple of them at once.
In other words: This last night ended up to be a real short one 😏
Over at Beccy's Place there is an August Offer,
and here is my first card with some of the stamps I bought.

Recipe:
White card stock,
"Coffee" paper: Craft Sensations,
Image and sentiments: Beccy,
Banner die: Marianne Design,
Flower punch: EK Success,
Cat punch: Atelier Terziev.
Distress ink, brown pen and glitter.

Before I printed out the image,
I placed one of the sentiments on the front of the cup.
The image is fuzzy cut,
The banner is cut with my Cuttlebug.

A friend of mine is starting her new job today,
and I thought of her as I made this card.
And the cat?
Just waiting for Mom to come back from work.

Place Cards

For my birthday party I made some place cards.
Well, I did not write the names of the guests on them.
Then I wanted my guests to sit where they wanted to.
So on each card I wrote a message:
"Thank you for being here and sharing this day with us!"

For each card I used:
White card stock,
snippets of pink, cream and green papers.
Dies used:
Banner and flower: Marianne design,
Leaves: Cottage Cutz "Ivy" on most of the cards
and leaves from Craft Sensations for a few of them.
I also used brown distress ink, green pen and silver glitter.

Here are some of the cards.
I made the photos at home before we left for Norway.

I also want to show one of the flower decorations,
made by my cousin and her husband.

The celebration took place in Norway
as we had our holidays there,
about one month before my birthday.
So this year my birthday lasted veeeeeery long.
But you don't celebrate your 70th birthday every year, - do you?

I used many snippets on the place cards,
so therefore I want to show them on:

Ocean Colors Birthday Card

Usually I try to make all my embellishments
and other stuff for my cards myself.
I love my Cuttlebug, and I use it for almost every card.
But today I found something among my old stash
that I wanted to use on this card.
The challenge from Seize the Birthday is "Ocean Colors",
and I thought this tiny bit of a yarn could fit for that challenge.
Also the two biggest parts of the flower I found there.
The smallest one is a scrap. I cut it with an EK Success punch.
The flower got a half pearl as well.
Banner: Marianne Design die.
Stamp: Big Time Zürich.

With this card I want to take place here:
