Cooling Off

It has been quite hot here the past couple of weeks. Consistently in the 90's and pushing 100. I'm not complaining, it has been beautiful. But when it gets so hot, in my mind there is one particular way in which I like to cool things down a bit. And that is by pulling out the ice cream and root beer. Root beer floats on the back deck when it's hot ..... life doesn't get much better than that.

This sounds perfect right now. For some insane reason I decided to clean my stove today, the hottest day of the summer around here. I think it is over 100 degrees in my kitchen! A rootbeer float would be wonderful:)

I was just staring into my own cup of root beer the other day and thinking what a magical combination ice cream and root beer are. There's nothing like it.
