Featured Artist Week: Olivia's View

Hello Everyone,

I am checking in today with a new card I did with one of the beautiful images from Ching Chou Kuik's called The Moth.  The sentiment comes with the rubber stamp set and love it so much as well.

I colored the image with my Copics. I used my Copics to make the background as well on the image and added some Liquid Pearl. The vine background was created with a stamp and used two different ink colors.

Inspiration With Nataliya. Part #2 Of 4.

Hello my Friends. Here is Part #2 of 4 of my project for Sweet Pea Stamps.
You can see Part #1 HERE.
This time i used stamp "The Moth" by Ching Chou Kuik.  It's a beautiful collection of 4 circle images, which you can have as a digital images as well.
Image was colored with Distress Ink pads and placed on the Die cut Doilies. Base of the project was cut with Grand Dies by Spellbinders. I added gems to her flowers in her hair, Stickles, and Glamour Dust paint.

With clear stamp i stamped sentiment "Hope" on the Die cut tag

You should know by now, that i love sparkles. So here is some swirls gems for you, with a splash of Diamond Dust.

After i die cut this Green leaf, i stamped with Vintage words Background stamp and embossed with Copper embossing powder. Then used 3D-Stamp paint by Heartfelt Creations on the edges around the leaf.

Butterfly i made from one of the digital printable butterfly, by embossing over with clear embossing powder, then Die cut Butterfly on the top with clear gems.

I did some stitching here too, but barely can see behind the embellishments. And i added home made flowers by me.

I hope you like it, and see you soon with my project #3of 4.
Have a good day!!
Hugs Nataliya

Ching Chou Kuik's The Moth

Ching Chou Kuik's The Moth is one of several gorgeous rubber stamps by this amazing artist that each come on a single sheet with a lovely sentiment stamp. As soon as I saw this stamp I had an idea for a card where the circular image could spin around....
...and have the sentiment on the reverse:
I cut the card shape out from coloured card using my Cameo and decorated it with some pretty paper and added some flower flourishes cut from gold mirri card using the Cameo. I stamped the sentiment onto a circle of white card and blended Spiced Marmalade and then Salty Blue Distress Inks around the edges and I coloured the image with my Promarkers and added some Stickles over the moths:
I have to say though, as pleased as I am with how this card came out, it's a bear to photograph properly! Here's what it looks like closed up:
And here's the reverse side:
You can buy this stamp - which includes the image and the sentiment - in red rubber format only from the Sweet Pea Stamps store.

Going Round and Round...

Today I have three cards to share that feature gorgeous round images from the ching chou kuik collection.

This card was created with the image titled The Dragonfly, it was colored with copics, the papers are Prima.

This image is titled The Koi, the papers are Basic Grey and 7gypsies, the image was also colored with copics. I masked the image, sprayed it with the Goosebumps texture and sprinkled some glitter into it. It turned out really neat in person, I would definitely recommend goosebumps, it gives a great watery appearance for your mermaid images.

My last card uses the image titled The Moth. The papers are Basic Grey, I used a bit of Tim Holtz tissue tape, button shaped things - these are not brads, they have several little prongs on the back that you bend over to attach, sorry not sure if it is a blonde moment or a grey one, they all seem to be the same, ;-). it is finished off with a lot of prima flowers.

I hope you have enjoyed your visit today! ttfn

ching-chou kuik's The Moth ... in Yellow!

I made this card a while ago from one of my favorite images from Ching Chou Kuik. I love her circular images and this one is so soft and pretty! It left a lot of room for me to break out the bling and jazz it up! I colored the image with copic markers and then I used stickles, microbeads and rhinestones to jazz it up! I also used the cuttlebug to emboss texture on the background paper, and then I sponged it to show off all of that wonderful texture... and VIOLA!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day! Don't forget to check out all of the amazing new releases and artists that have just been added!

The Moth

Here's a lovely image from ching-chou kiuk called "The Moth". You can see this image on the website by clicking here. I love these beautiful large size round stamp sets and have several great Spellbinders die cut sets that are large enough to create a background for them. After coloring the image with a large assortment of Copic markers, I used some beautiful webbed ribbon from the floral department as a great textured background for this card. I chose a great saying from Plate #70 and a couple of Prima flowers in orange.

Hoping your Wildest Dreams come true this year!

Cheers, Holley

Cards using Elaine Cox images and ching chou kuiks "The Moth"

How is everyone today??? I have 3 Sweet Pea cards to share with you today. For this first one I used and Elaine Cox image called Pirate Treasure Mermaid sheet # 5 /Plate#46 at Sweet Pea Stamps. The DP is a mat pad from me&my Big ideas called Journey. I added some Wild Orchid Crafts roses and Prima little roses. I also took some sea shell beads and and ran some wire through them to make a sea shell embellishment. The image was colored with copics, used some liquid pearls for the pearls and some glittery sakura pens and added some bling to the corners of the image.

I LOVE THE COLORS of this card and the image is gorgeous and alittle different for ching chou kuiks as it's a circle stamp(Love it)! The name of this image is The Moth and you can get her HERE at Sweet Pea Stamps. She is sold as a single image with a beautiful sentiment.
I hope you are like her as she is probably one of my favorites!! Doesn't she look 3D?? Oh what you can do with copics. No I didn't cut her out just using the darker colors around her gives that 3D look. Thank you for all your sweet comments!!
Supplies Used:
Paper: DP is Dancing Jewel by KAISERCRAFT( I love this DP), olive/sage green CS, the plum was colored with ink pads to match
Accessories: Fiskars circle punch, spellbinders pendant die, BIG corner die are cut with a Sizzix die, the small corner dies are from cuttlebug.
lace, and the butterfly border is from K&Company
Glitter glue and Doddle Bug glitter

For this card I used another Elaine Cox image called Playing with Stars also on the same sheet/plate.
I wanted to make her skin light so I colored her with E50 and E51. Her skin is a little darker in person, but I took the pic outside and the sun was so bright.
The DP is from a DCWV Fall Stack. The sentiment is from a ching chou kuiks Sweet Pea Stamps set. I used my new Martha Stewart border and corner punch (I am still trying to figure out what size to cut my paper to make it come out right) . I added some Wild Orchid Crafts roses and some Fiskars tear drop looking embellishments in purple (but in this pic they look black).

The Moth of Many Colors

Stamp: Ching Chou Kuik's "The Moth"
Paper: Crate Paper - "Restoration"

I absolutely LOVE these new circular Ching Chou Kuik images!! Such fun to color and so easy to create with. The shape is just a perfect touch for cards and really turns the image into the focal point.
