Little jewelry bag

I'm excited to show you today's project. I played with stamps and fabric, together with embroidery. I used an usual piece of white cotton fabric. It was too white so I dipped it in some tea to age it a bit. The images I have used are from ching chou kuik's collection. They are called Nostalgia and Spring luna from plate #30.

I stamped the images with black fabric ink and then used fabric pens to color here and there. I know it works with promarkers too if you want a neater finish. To add interest to the images I embroidered details with a glittery thread and added some matching beads. Then I just sewed the two pieces right sides facing, a little tunnel for the ribbon on top and voilá -  a little bag for jewelry or as a giftbag. If you want a bigger bag you could use four images, kind of like an Andy Warhol piece.

Spring Luna

Have you ever created something and then just sat back and been totally impressed with yourself?  I admit, it happens to me occasionally, and after coloring this particular image that is how I felt.  I absolutely adore the way her hair turned out!
This image is Spring Luna by ching chou kuik.  She can be found on Plate #30.  The colors I used are very different from the artist's and in looking, I also interpreted the top a bit differently.  Isn't that the great thing about stamps?  It becomes what YOU see when creating!

Get Inky!

Today we welcome Christine Riley!

Hi everyone! :) My name is Christine Riley and I was just asked to join Lynette's amazing DT for Sweet Pea Stamps. I am so excited and so honored to be asked. I thought I'd share just a little bit about myself. I'm happily married to my wonderful, dear husband and am a mom to two adorable fur babies. I'm an attorney by day and a stamper/scrapbooker/crafter by night. I love all things stamping and scrapbooking related. I live in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, very close to Northern Virginia where I grew up. While I love to stamp any image I can color in (I LOVE my copics), I especially love anything that has to do with fairy tales and make believe. I guess there's a part of me that will never grow up :) When I found Sweet Pea Stamps, I was so excited. All of these images are so "me" and working with them truly brings me joy. I'm so excited to begin my work with Lynette's amazing design team. Thank you so much, Lynette, for asking me to join your team.

Here are some cards to share with you:
