Planting Seeds of Happiness

Here's a stunning image from Sweet Pea stamps artist Valerie Wade called "Planting Seeds" (Plate#118). I love this artist's amazing fairy images. I just had to add some stunning floral lace that I got while in Turkey, along with some beautiful butterflies. After that, I think the image stands out enough that the card doesn't need any more embellishing.I added little polka dots with a gold pen around the diecut and gently edged the cardstock of the image with some Colorbox Chalk in a deep pink. Here's a closeup of the stampIsn't she just adorable? Makes me think of a little girl running around the meadow, only instead of picking flowers, this little girl is spreading seeds that will turn into flowers.

Hope this card inspires you today to grab a stamp and make a card. Be sure to check out all the wonderful stamps on sale at Sweet Pea as well as the new stamps that are just released. Also, I am having a wonderful celebration all month long in Feb! I am about to hit my TWO year anniversary for having two brain surgeries that saved my life. It's been so amazing and I can't even tell you how wonderful I am now. Stop by my blog as there's blog candy almost everyday this month! Big hugs to Sweet Pea stamps!! They were a tremendous support for me when I was so sick that I can't possibly thank them enough. Sweet Pea stamps ROCK!!

Cheers all, Holley

Planting Seeds

Hi everyone.
It is spring time here in Australia, so we are all out in the garden enjoying the beautiful sunshine and looking at all the gorgeous new blooms.
I was inspired to create a card that represented springtime, and what could fit more perfectly than Valarie Wade's Planting Seeds.

After colouring her with Copic Markers, I masked the image and applied Antique Linen Distress Ink  to the background.
This lovely little girl can be purchased by herself or together with another beautiful image on Valarie Wade's Sheet #1, Plate #118.

Thank you so much for joining me today.
Hugs

Gift Tag Featuring Valarie Wade's Planting Seeds

I made this for a friend of mine that is having a little baby girl... I LOVE BABIES...and I thought this would make a nice keepsake. I tied it to the package and told her she  could use this as an ornament or just for something fun to hang in her window... from her Auntie Dawn!
Here is a close up of the sweet little face of this darling image. She is from Valarie Wade and comes on a sheet of 2 or each image can be purchased separately!

Thanks for stopping in ... and hug a bay today if you get a chance!!!

Connie-Planting Seeds by Valarie Wade

Today I am showing you what I made using Sweet Pea artist Valarie Wade's
"Planting Seeds" image from plate #118
which you can find by clicking

Supplies used:
stamp from Sweet Pea plate #118
Class A'Peels stickers (words)
various gems and jewels from my stash
Spellbinder die "Lacey Ovales"
Copic markers/airbrushing
Cuttlebug embossing folder "D'Vine Swirl"
cardstock/papers unknown

I masked the pretty fairy and airbrushed a light blue
around her.  Masked oval area and airbrushed darker
blue around edges for contrast.
Colored image with Copic markers and added gems here and there for glitz.
I added some white spots that seem to detract rather than add to the
effect I wanted IMO.
Sometimes the hardest part of making a card is knowing when enough is enough??

This card will go to my little 6 year old granddaughter for her birthday
as she loves anything glitzy or sparkly.....

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out plate #118 for
even more delightful images by Valarie Wade.

Seriously Sweet Samantha

This beautiful little girl is Valarie Wade's Samantha.

She is such a happy looking little fairy that I wanted to put her on a bright and cheery card. She had been coloured with Copic Markers with highlights added with a white gel pen.
This gorgeous fairy can be purchased on her own or with another beautiful image on sheet #1, plate #118.

Thank you so much for joining me today.

Fly away Fairy!

Here's one of the most delightful fairy stamps that was designed by well known artist Valerie Wade. This fairy is named Samantha (Plate #118). I love that name as it's my neice's name so I colored up this fairy with Samantha (or Sammie as we call her) in mind.

Samantha loves purple so I used a lot of that while coloring and added my favorite color which is orange. Once I colored the image, I used that color palette to select my card and embellishments. I had a wonderful sheet of orange with a sparkly background. I added lots of purple embellishments and die cut the saying out using nestabilities. I added some sparkle to the image's wings using Stickles.

Now I hope she will love this card when I present it to her.

Cheers all!

Samantha is ready for Spring

Today I have a card to share with you using one of Valarie Wade's Fairies.  Her name is "Samantha"  and you can buy her as a single or on Sheet #1 Plate #118 with another cute little fairy.  She looks so much like Spring to me so I colored he with Spring colors"pinks and greens"

I used some DCWV DP, EKSuccess border punch, Basic Grey border sticker over the border punch, Fiskars border punch, Spellbinders Pendant accessory die, white flowers and Prima flowers and green rhinestones.
If you haven't purchased this cutie yet what are you waiting for?  She is so much fun to color and create with.
Make sure you go and check out all the sales going on at the store and stock up on your favorites.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day.
