Kimono Pip and Baby Giraffe

This week I used two different images from Digi Stamp Boutique.  I love this little Kimono Pip and needed a birthday card for my sweet grand daughter.  I'm sure she will love it.

I also needed some baby cards so I made three nearly identical.  I believe this image, baby giraffe,  has been retired but I have used it before and love it for a baby card.

Here is the sketch we are using at SSW2 this week.
Be sure to follow the rules.

Digi Stamp Boutique is our sponsor.  Look around and find a fun new image.

All images/designs are created and copyright owned by Sally-Ann Hancock.  My work means the world to me - it allows my passion to draw and create, to fit with my family life too, often the inspiration for my designs.  Hope you enjoy my images as much as I enjoy creating them.

Prize:   £10 voucher from Digi Stamp Boutique

Welcome Little One

I was so delighted to be able to make a card this week!
I definitely feel craft deprived!
I'm not sure how I found the time but I'm happy that it happened!
I adore this sweet giraffe!
I seem to have a collection of giraffe digis.
He was screaming at me to use him!!!
He's a bit nontraditional but I thought he made a cute baby boy card!
What do you think?
This image can be found at Bugaboo Stamps and
is called "Giraffe Heart 2."

This is the sketch for this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.
I loved using it!
Be sure to play along.

Welcome Baby
Sweet Sketch 143
Sponsor:  Doodle Pantry

I just have to tell you that I had so much fun using this image from Doodle Pantry!  It is my first precolored image that I have used.  I have to say that this card was actually whipped together in just minutes!

This image is called "Noah's Ark."
It comes with a precolored image without the rainbow and
a precolored image with a rainbow.
It also comes uncolored.
Plus it comes with three word sentiments:

"All Creatures great and small know the Lord is Lord of all."
"God's promises are forever."
 "Two by Two."
This entire package is just $4!  What a bargain!

We are so thrilled to have Doodle Pantry as our sponsor at
Sweet Sketch Wednesday.  Please take some time and browse their shop.
Their images are amazing!  And if you haven't used digis before this is the perfect time to choose one that is already precolored and then you can also have fun coloring it up any way you would like.

A little note from our sponsor!

“I am simply thrilled and so thankful to be able to sponsor Sweet Sketch Wednesday Challenge! We have a wide variety of whimsical characters as well as realistic scenery, floral images, scriptures and a small selection of digitally pre-coloured images. My digital doodles have a special place in my life, and I enjoy the opportunity to share them with everyone at affordable prices.”

Here are the urls for their site and blog!

Now I hope you will choose to play along this week with Arlana's fabulous sketch below.  All the details are on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday site so go check it out!

If you play along this week and follow the SSW rules you will have the opportunity to win the grand prize from Doodle Pantry.  Doodle Pantry is offering 3 digis of your choice!  Wouldn't you just love to play with three of your favorite digis from Doodle Pantry!

Here is the sketch!  Now go check out the rules and begin creating!

Close up of image without rainbow!

I decided to make a second card with the rainbow!

It's nearly the same but I had different water paper to play with along with my new sentiment label die.

Have a great week!  I'm enjoying mine with Arlana!

Love My Baby
Sponsor:  A Day For Daisies
Sweet Sketch 138

I made two cards for you today using this precious image, "Love My Baby" from A Day for Dasisies! Can't you just feel the tenderness from Momma Giraffe to her new little one?  I was getting low on baby cards so I thought I would double up using this image!

The little silver giraffe came in a package of three from my local Scrap That store.  Sad but the owner of this shop is moving out of state and trying to sell her store here in Fircrest, WA, for $40,000 or best offer.  I throw that out to those of you who have always dreamed of having your own scap store!  I do hope she can sell it as I will miss the fun extra papers that she sells.  The coordinating paper on this card came from her shop...it is Bo Bunny.  Who doesn't love Bo Bunny paper?  I loved accenting with the turquoise on this card.

Arlana, I loved working with this sketch too!
We have some new rules at SSW so be sure to check them before you play along!

If you have never played along at SSW.  This is your week!  We have a fabulous sponsor, A Day for Daisies.  Tammy creates the most beautiful  images that will dazzle your imagination!  Go take a peek and look around her shop.  This week as our sponsor, ADFD will offer a
$12 Gift Certificate to her store
for the weekly grand prize winner at SSW.
So grab the sketch and go grab an image from ADFD and play along with us.
A DAY FOR DAISIES provides themed categories of over 1000 fun and  whimsical digital images, including fairy tales and magical mermaids, cutie kids, vintage illustrations, sentiments and lovely designs for all occasions!

This is second card I made with "Love My Baby."  I found these papers at Michael's and knew it would go well with this card!  I love the softness of this card and how it came together.
Which is your favorite?

Thanks for stopping by!

Babe Basket
Sweet Sketch 112

Good Morning!  It is another Sweet Sketch Wednesday and we are so pleased to have
as our sponsor this week.  If you have not been to Tammy's site you will be in awe at her creations!  Her style is so unique.  If you have a favorite photo, she will even create a digital photo stamp for you!
The image I have used today is called "Babe Basket."  Arlana has provided such a fun sketch this week.  I first created the card below and then decided that I wanted to see what this image would look like with the blanket hanging over the oval so I created the card above.   I always love the added dimension.  The ribbon is from Walmart and has been in my stash for a while but I believe Walmart still carries this ribbon.  I added stickles to the little flowers and a brad on the center of the large flower.  If I make this card again, I will use the jewel as the center of the large flower to give the contrast in color as the stickles lightened the brad.

Be sure to check out our DT lineup at SSW.  You will love their fabulous creations!
If you are the lucky weekly winner at SSW for this sketch, you will win a
$12 Gift Certificate

Remember to grab this sketch and begin your creation!

Now I have some news that is difficult for me to write.
About six weeks ago I decided that I would stepdown from my DT position.  However, I will still be very busy behind the scenes helping Arlana as the DT and Sponsor Coordinator.  I kind of feel like a duck out of water but as you can see I will still have one foot in the pond.  There is a tremendous amount of effort that goes into a blog of this nature.  Arlana, Nancy and I are constantly communicating and working on it.  The SSW DT will still be hearing from me and I will continue to do my best to keep them organized.  As for blogging, I will be stepping away for awhile.  But I am sure that I will be peeking around!  You may even see an occasional card!  Next Wednesday I will be doing the SSW post as my final DT responsibility.   Now why am I stepping down?  Just too many things to catch up on.

I have loved working with the SSW Design Team and will greatly miss creating with them....they seem just like family...even the DT members that have come and gone.  Thanks so much for all of your inspiration and your sweet thoughts!

Now I want to thank Arlana and Nancy for the confidence they gave to me in being on the DT in the first place.    This goes back to the inception of SSW!   Arlana was recruiting her sisters as her DT.  Now you need to know that Arlana and Nancy are the Crafty and Artist ones in the family.  I have always loved crafts but if I cannot quite get it right I will always have Arlana do it for me.  When Arlana asked me to be on the DT I was really hestitant because at that point I had just learned how to use the paper cutters.  In fact I didn't commit to being on the DT until SSW #2.  Well, the rest is history and I have truly enjoyed creating cards and even amazing myself at times.
Thanks to my wonderful sisters for all their encouragement!
To all of my followers: Thanks for being there for me too.  I appreciate all of your sweet comments and support.

Welcome Baby
Sweet Sketch 111

Happy Sweet Sketch Wednesday!I always enjoy making baby cards so when Sally Ann from Digi Stamp Boutique created this adorable little giraffe I knew it would make into a darling baby card!.  A new baby is always the star of the show so that is why I added the stars for embellishments.  I added the circles underneath the stars to give them more dimension.  My green paper doesn't show the hexagon pattern as well as I would like it too but hopefully you can see it or that you already know this paper!  Bo Bunny papers are some of my most favorite.  I loved working with Arlana's sketch this week.  It was was quick and easy to put together but has enough layers to make it interesting.

Be sure to grab this sketch!

Digi Stamp Boutique is our sponsor this week.  The owner, Sally Ann, has been such a faithful sponsor at SSW  for two years now....She sponsors us every month and we love her never ending supply of digis which she is constantly creating.
Be sure to take some time to look around her site.

For this week's challenge at SSW, she is offering
6 free digis of your choice
if your are our lucky
Grand Prize Winner!

Now for some fab inspiration, be sure to check out our DT Lineup at SSW!

It's A Girl!
Sweet Sketch 61Sweet Sketch Wednesday
Sponsor: Pixie Dust Studio

This fun little "White Rabbit" from Pixie Dust Studio's Down the Rabbit Hole Collection brings back fond memories of Alice in Wonderland. But when I saw this image is was screaming a baby card to me! I could just see him announcing the arrival of our third grandchild which is a girl. I had so much fun dressing him up for the occassion! I chose blue for his main outfit because I figured he has to announce the arrival of boys along with the girls....but I dressed him for this special occassion with a pink bow and pink shoes. I added stickles to his pants, neck and cuffs, and also on the little hearts. I added a little rhinestone on his bow and Crystal Effects to make his horn shiny! Last but not least the brads needed a little sparkle so I added stickles to each of them! There you have it! He's ready to toot his horn! September 25 is the due date!
Well, you will need another important part of the recipe...
this awesome sketch by Arlana at SSW! I have already had a sneak peak at the line up of cards for this week. We have 6 fabulous images that our DT has created with. You will love every one of them. They are all spectacular!

Please take a moment and look around at the awesome images at Pixie Dust Studio. They have sponsored us once before and it seems like I always have the hardest time choosing which image to create with. Go ahead just try to elimate your likings to just two! And if you are lucky enough you will be the winner of your two favorite images this week when you play along at SSW!

Go ahead....start creating!

Thanks Pixie Dust Studio for your sweet image!

Stork Delivery
Sweet Sketch 60

We are so thrilled to have Shirley's 2 Girls again for our sponsor at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. Kristine's images are so fun to create with. I chose another image for a baby card! I made this card last month when I was in Utah. I have been wanting to use these metal dots and loved how they turned out so I have been using them on a few other cards. Arlana had these little baby feet in your stash! Oh...all of you would have so much fun at Arlana's...you cannot believe all the fun crafty things that she has!!! I brought my own jewels but Arlana had some that were the perfect intensity of color....so wa..la! There you have it! What a fun sketch this week too!
Before you get started on your card...stop by Shirley's 2 Girls....you will love the temptation!

This is the sweet sketch that you will use this week at SSW!
Please remember to follow the sketch!

Buck A Roo
Sweet Sketch 55
Sweet Sketch Wednesday
Sponsor: Shirley's 2 Girls

I hope you enjoy this baby card. This image is called "Buck a Roo" and can be found at Shirley's 2 Girls. I am running low on baby cards so you will probably be seeing a few more in the weeks to come. Seems like it is always a baby card or a wedding card that I am in need of!

Today we have a fabulous sponsor at Sweet Sketch Wednesday along with this great sketch. Shirley's 2 Girls is our sponsor and is offering a very sweet $10 gift certificate if you are the lucky Weekly Winner. I hope you will take some time and look at Shirley's 2 Girls shop. The images are spectacular and so fun to create with. SSW Design Team has some awesome inspiration...take time to also look at their cards.

A closer view of little Bucky
Isn't he so sweet! Can't wait to give this card away! No one special at the moment.

I made this card last month while I was visiting Arlana. We found this cute button in her gallon container of buttons. Isn't it perfect! She also gave me the little "Boy" eyelets that I put in the corner. I like brads better for installation. But three out of the four eyelets turned out perfectly so I guess that is pretty good odds!
The ribbon came from my stash and the rhinestones from Arlana's stash!

Now for today's post:
This sweet little image, "Moonbear," can be found at KLM Digi Stamps. I had so much fun creating my card with this image. I decided to use my Nestabilies for part of the sketch instead of for nesting the main image. I also used the Cuttlebug Swiss Dot Embossing folder. The Moonbear image is cut out and popped on top of the stars. Then I also popped the Bears's head and arm over the moon.

KLM Digi Stamps is our sponsor this week. They are offering this sweet Crocus Windowbox Set as their prize if you are the weekly winner!
KLM is also offering this freebie to all of our followers.
Be sure to check out Stacy's card on Sweet Sketch Wednesday. It's adorable!
