Happy Valentine's Day to you all....

Happy Valentine's Day to my crafting peeps. Today is a day to share with everyone you love. Whether it be your significant other, kids, pets, friends, please make sure that they know that they are loved. You never know if it will be the last opportunity to do so. I never leave the house without telling everyone that I love them. Here are some projects I have made for a friend and Hubby's card (and a card I am not giving him ):

First up is my present for a friend:

This is a mini album with friendsh

And here is the rejected card I will not be giving hubby this Valentine's Day:
And here is the one I like so much better:
And here it is with the envelope I made. Going to have to make a tutorial on how to make a simple envelope for a square card from a rectangular regular envelope. Coming soon....

So from our house to your house, we wish you a very Happy Valentine's Day. Until next time...

Love to Create Design Team Post 2

Good morning all and welcome to another DT post for the Love to Create Challenge blog. Today's sponsor is
and you just have to check out their site!! I just love the digi stamp that I worked with. The theme for this challenge was buttons and bows. Well, if I could have put a bow on her stockings I would have but I could not make one that tiny. Here is my card using this digi:
She is so pretty and I had to give her a some awesome hair (I wish my hair could look like that). Since she is Cupid I made her into a sweet Valentine's card. Of course I had already made hubby's card so this one will be saved for a later date. Here are the things I used to make it:

* K & Company Valentine's paper pack
* Recollections Pink Cardstock
* Michael's ribbon
* Misc buttons from my collection
* Markers: Stampin' Up Chocolate Chip, Soft Suede, Sahara Sand, Pretty in Pink, Rose Red, Regal Rose, and Pink Pirouette and Copic Pale Lilac, Skin White, Barely Beige and Colorless Blender
* Sakura Gellyroll Metallic gel pens: silver and gold
* Provocraft Elegant Edges cartridge

Thanks for stopping by and visiting with me today. I encourage you to stop by Sassy Studio Designs and the Love to Create Challenge blog to see all the amazing things in store for you. Come back all week and see the wonderful projects I have in store for you. Until next time....

Oh Say it isn't so....

but it is :D Guess what?? The Creative Memories sale is extended to Jan 1, 2012. So you still have time to order!! You can read about it here in this POST. Guess what else?? I managed to squeak in one more project before the New Year came. It is the Scrappy Jak card of the month kit and I kept it simple this month. She gave us a white A2 card base and a die cut from My Creative Time. The card was within my realm but the lollipop die stumped me. Then I thought that it would make the best Hershey Candy Cane kiss holder next to the holiday plates. Everyone is always looking for mints after dinner so this was ideal! Here are my projects:

The paper is from a swap that is organized by my friend Tina on Facebook. I love the happy little trees (I loved Bob Ross ). The circles and the starbursts are also from My Creative Time. Thanks to Scrappy Jak for being a wonderful friend and inspiration to me :) Until next time....

Thankful Hearts Blog Hop

Thanksgiving is one of those holidays which always seems rushed! Rush to get the turkey and all of the fixin's. Rush to make out your Black Friday Shopping List and then rush everyone home to go do your shopping. Rush to have dinner done either before the football games or during halftime. Rush to visit family and friends. Rush to Eat and Eat and Eat! And when all is said and done and the rush is over - you might say "I'm grateful just to sit down and relax"!

Well, this year is different, it's time to sit back, take it easy without the rush. With Thanksgiving being one of our favorite holidays, it is a time to be thankful, reflectful, and to have a thankful heart. Sasha, Lynne's 6 year old granddaughter, has a heart shaped box which was conceived from a cartoon character that she watches,  Kai-lan. Kai-lan is a Chinese girl that wears a heart-shaped box around her neck and fills it with things that makes her heart happy.

We want to share "what makes our heart happy" and thankful through either cards and/or layouts. It is time to reflect and remember that the first Thanksgiving was celebrated to give thanks to God for a bountiful Harvest. Our Harvest is our lives. We are expressing our Thanks from our hearts to God and the people who have come into our lives whether they be family or friends.

We do have some blog candy to offer to help you finish your fall projects just in time to start your holiday projects which include self-stick gems, stick pin, Candi foam pads, and a Family Scrapbook Kit along with a paper mache heart for you to decorate to hold the things that make your heart "happy"! To be eligible for the blog candy, please leave a comment on each of the participants of what you're thankful for or what makes your heart "happy".

Here's the line-up for you as we don't want you to get lost along the way as I'm sure all the bread crumbs are being used for "stuffing" . . .

  5. Jearise - http://lorbysworld.blogspot.com
  6. Anita-  http://www.anitaandbugs.blogspot.com

I have so much to be thankful for that I cannot even begin to list it. Thanksgiving is a very special time in our family. If I had to pick one thing to be thankful for it would be my amazing family. You cannot pick your family and they make us a little nuts at times but I would not trade them in for the world. Since we have special Thanksgiving dinners I decided to make this card for my Aunt who is the most amazing Hostess.This is a swinging card that I made while chatting with the fabulous Miss Lynne of Her Craftiness. She offered creative input and I love how the card came out. Here it is closed :)
And here it is open :)

The turkey is from Simply Charmed, the card base and patterned paper scalloped circles are from Elegant Edges and the "Thanksgiving" is from Designer Calendar. My Cricit really got a workout! The card base paper is Tim Holtz Recollections paper and the pattern paper is scrap from my stash. I punched the little circles with my Stampin' Up Punch. The brad holding it all together is Stampin' Up also. I am so glad you stopped by and I am oh so thankful for all my followers. Once we reach 400 followers there will be a gift card giveaway. So please ensure you are a follower and leave a comment. Now onto your next stop, the AMAZING Miss Amy. Until next time....

JME Creations Orange Circle Challenge

Welcome to the newest challenge at JME Creations. Today's Challenge is Orange Circles. I had multiple inspiration for this card. One was my children whom I used to sing this song to all the time. The other was my friend Erin of Comfy on my Cloud who LOVES buttons. Anything with bling always make me happy. Here is my card:
The little spiral paper clip came from the M.O.C.H.A. welcome goodie bag so I put it to good use. The cloud sticker are from EK Success and the flower border is from Forever In Time. The orange bling is from Recollections and the buttons are from my stash I have had from various sources. The happy little fellow is from the Ronald McDonald stamp from Stampin' Up set.

I hope you have enjoyed my project and hope you hop on over to the JME Creations blog to see what the creative team has made. Until next time....

The Crafters Cafe - November Digi Day

Hi to my crafty peeps. I have joined the Crafter's Cafe recently as was excited to see this group! I decided to play along and made this card:
The stamp was a freebie from Jen's Digi Stamps. I colored it with markers and used Ranger Distress Stickles on the "frosting". The lines in the cupcake liner were made with Ranger Diamond Stickles. The pearls are from Recollections. The background paper was made by ME . I took the Stampin' Up Bliss set and stamped it in coordinating colors. The orange cardstock is also Stampin' Up. I hope that you enjoyed my post and I wish you a scrappingly good day :) Until tomorrow...

Scrappy Jak Project of the Month

Ok, since I participated in the Tim Burton blog hop I have been doing so many Nightmare Before Christmas projects. This project was going to be a Famous Movie Monsters mini album. Well, I decided that it needed to be a NBC mini album instead, I used every last piece of materials that were sent in the envelope. The paper I had in my stash from my Halloween Labor of Love Banner from Recollections. I LOVE this and am keeping it for me. Here are some pics:
Thanks to Scrappy Jak for another FANTASTIC month. Until next time....

Guest Designer: Happy Birth Month Scrappin Sista

Happy Thursday all and welcome to my Guest Designer spot for Christel (AKA Scrappin Sista). Happy Birth Month Christel and may this day and every day find you blessed beyond measure. I met Christel through a monthly Faith Blog Hop and am so grateful for this opportunity. Now for Miss Christel's birthday, I could not make just any card. I had to make THE card (which I will be sending to her for her birthday). I've made a Z fold card but never a double Z fold card. I just love this card I saw in cyberspace and decided to give it a try. Here are some pics:
I had the purple floral paper in my stash and everything else is leftovers from other projects. The bling is from Recollections adhesive gems on a roll I used for my birthday blog hop explosion box. The Happy Birthday sentiment came from Creative Memories. Happy Birthday Christel and thanks for having me. Until next time...
