Good day my friends....
I took a couple of days hiatus to get acclimated to being back home and to work. I had to wait to share my current project as it was a early birthday gift for my bestest friend Laurie. We have been friends since H.S. (1983) and she appreciates when I make her hand made presents. The holidays were rough for both of us and I wanted to bring a little JOY to her winter days. Thus, I made her this winter Joy banner....
The banners are canvas and the papers were all Stampin' Up. I figured that she can hang it in her office at work. I added Stickles to make stamped letters to make them stand out.
I will try to post frequently but this is a difficult time for our family. Family is always first for me so I promise to post as much as possible. All good thoughts are definitely welcome. Until next time....

Summer is Here - Who's Ready for a Party?
'Ello all. Susan here with a Summer Fun project for Get Inky! Stamps Summer Challenge. Summer to me means time with Family and Friends. The motto is "It's 5'Oclock Somewhere". After a long week this definitely applies. I used the Joyful Jars set that you can find on the Blue Moon Creations website. I wanted invitations for a get together and this was so much fun to work with. Here it is:
I love the puffy paint I used to make the beer froth and the Stickles to make the beverage. I am thinking you could change this up and make a cup of cocoa and the card using Holiday colors for a get together in December. This is how versatile this set is!! I thank you for stopping by and hope you will share your own summer fun card at the Get Inky! Stamps Summer Challenge. Until next time....

JME Creations: Happy New Year
Should old acquaintance be forgot... I am kind of sad as this is my last project for this year and I had such fun with it. Does anyone remember Rudolph's Shiny New Year? Well, I used to love to watch this and there is a picture of myself and my cousin Louie dressed as Father Time and Baby New Year in 1979 going into 1980. So in memoriam to my wonderful cousin, here is my card:
I used the Marvy puffy paint for his diaper and he was cut from one my Cricut cartridges. I had to draw in the facial features and cut his hat from the Create a Critter cartridge. Red Stickles adorn his hat. Wishing you all a Happy New Year. Until next time....

Jen's Digi Stamps Freebie Friday: Sugar n Snap
Hello all and welcome to Freebie Friday at Jen's Digi Stamps. Many of my friends know that snowpeople are one of my favorites. I am so excited about this freebie. Sugar n Snap are so cute, aren't they? Here is my latest Christmas card:
I used Stickles on his hat for a little bling. The border punch, sentiment and bling over the "i" are all Stampin' Up. Hop on over to Jen's Digi Stamps and see what my fellow design team members have made. Until next time.....

The Crafters Cafe - November Digi Day
Hi to my crafty peeps. I have joined the Crafter's Cafe recently as was excited to see this group! I decided to play along and made this card:
The stamp was a freebie from Jen's Digi Stamps. I colored it with markers and used Ranger Distress Stickles on the "frosting". The lines in the cupcake liner were made with Ranger Diamond Stickles. The pearls are from Recollections. The background paper was made by ME. I took the Stampin' Up Bliss set and stamped it in coordinating colors. The orange cardstock is also Stampin' Up. I hope that you enjoyed my post and I wish you a scrappingly good day :) Until tomorrow...

Christmas is For Kids Blog Hop, Day 1
First we have a word from the fantabulous Ellen (aka CardMonkey):
"It is my pleasure to host the CHRISTMAS is for KIDS BANNER HOP, where fantastic and generous crafters donated their talents, time and holiday banners to the children at Pediatric Specialty Care in Bucks County, PA. (See www.PediatricSpecialty.Com)
I work at Pediatric Specialty Care as Admissions Coordinator. The children (ages 0-21) we see are medically-fragile and technologically-dependent -- many are tethered to a ventilator that runs through a tracheostomy; most are wheelchair-bound, and cognitively impaired. They are all delightful children who face life with optimism and hope for a better tomorrow.
On this hop, we have 34 generous hoppers who have created fabulous banners. I've split the group in half so you're not overwhelmed with completing the hop in just one day. So DO stop back tomorrow to visit the second set of unique and precious banners. Please scroll down for the full list of today's hop stops.
And there's BLOG CANDY to be had!! THANK YOU to our generous sponsors who have provided prizes to those who hop along. Here are our sponsors and their prizes:
All hoppers are eligible to win. Here's how:
Follow the blog and comment on as many projects as you choose -- the more blogs where you comment and follow, the more chances you have to win. There's just one catch: please actually comment on the project, which shows you've looked at the project, not just cut/pasting random comments ("CUTE! TYFS") only to win the prize.
Random.org will choose the winners, subject to verification that winners have met the above-stated criteria."
Thank you (!!!) to each of the crafters who has made a Holiday Banner. Please stop by each of their blogs to send them some love. Today (Saturday, November 5), please hop to the following blogs:
And now to your current blogger, ME!
I am very new to the banner making thing and want to be like the other talented bloggers on this hop. I decided to incorporate a bunch of my favorite winter animals in this party to make the kids smile. The cuts are mostly from Create a Critter with one from Doodlecharms (can you guess which one?). I was so excited to be able to personally give this to Ellen as we worked on finishing them together. Here is a picture of the banner and them some detail pics:
Thank you again for visiting today. I hope you're inspired to make your own Holiday Banner ... let your inner Elf emerge! Please hop on over to Shawnee's blog now. Until next time....

Sweet Stamping Treats Design Team Glitter Challenge
Welcome to the latest design team challenge using GLITTER! I will tell you all that glitters is not gold but my snowmen and stars do. Here is my project:
My friend Ellen aka Cardmonkey would be so proud of me as I paper pieced those little hats and scarves on these fellows. I used Versamark and Stampin' Up White embossing powder for the show and snowballs. I had some embossing powder call White Clouds for the snowmen. I used Diamond and Silver Stickles from Ranger for the snow under the snowmen and the stars and some of the snowmen's buttons. The ribbon is from Stampin' Up that I received in a swap. Any coloring on the card was done with Crayola colored pencils, gel pens or Marvy Le Pen fine point markers. The border punch is Stampin' Up too :D
For the digital stamp I copied and pasted it side by side and then just drew in the empty space. I love it and may have to make loads of these :) Until next time.....

Guest Designer: Happy Birth Month Scrappin Sista
Happy Thursday all and welcome to my Guest Designer spot for Christel (AKA Scrappin Sista). Happy Birth Month Christel and may this day and every day find you blessed beyond measure. I met Christel through a monthly Faith Blog Hop and am so grateful for this opportunity. Now for Miss Christel's birthday, I could not make just any card. I had to make THE card (which I will be sending to her for her birthday). I've made a Z fold card but never a double Z fold card. I just love this card I saw in cyberspace and decided to give it a try. Here are some pics:
I had the purple floral paper in my stash and everything else is leftovers from other projects. The bling is from Recollections adhesive gems on a roll I used for my birthday blog hop explosion box. The Happy Birthday sentiment came from Creative Memories. Happy Birthday Christel and thanks for having me. Until next time...

Pencil Lines Sketch 06
Welcome back to the current installment of the Pencil Lines sketch challenge. I started this layout and it took on a life of it's own. I titled it "Dream a Little Dream". What is life without hopes and dreams. Here is the layout that I made:
I hope that you enjoyed my layout and that you will come and play along with us at Pencil Lines. Until next time....
I love this cutout from Elegant Edges |
Here is a sneak peak into my dreams |
I used the buttons as bullet points and used Stickles to outline the butterfly and make antennae. |

Paper Patch Crafts Challenge
Look to the sea mateys :) This challenge was right up my alley because I love the ocean. I have been wanting to make this card for awhile and the Peachy Keen Everyday Face Stamps just gave her character. She needed a bow because she is a girl and I used Ranger Diamond Stickles on her Eyes. I also used Stampin' Up's Itty Bitty Background stamps for the tone on tone and the Think Happy Thoughts set for the sentiment. The punches, pink and blue ribbon and the pearl in the center is also from Stampin' Up (love my rep Julie). Here is what I came up with.

Here is an up close pic of the sentiment...
I promise to get to my card fronts done. Until next time....

It was a challenge day!
Today was a wonderful day off. Last year we had a scrapping get together and ate beforehand. Today we added one more friend to the bunch! Nicole, Julie, Erin and I had a wonderful afternoon. I decided to make cards for some online challenges instead of scrapbooking today (we will be at an all day crop later in the month). I wanted to share them with you.
Jitterbuggin Challenge (http://jitterbugginchallenge.blogspot.com/)
"This week's challenge is For the Birds! Follow the sketch.....add your favorite Cricut bird.....and use something pink!"
Here is my interpretation:
Mojo Monday 174 (http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/)
" It's time to get sketchy and this week we've got a fun one for you, along with samples from the design team, including our two newest members, Debbie Carriere and Stephanie Kraft."
Here is my card:
And last (but defintely not least), here is my challenge card for Fantabulous Cricut Challenge (http://fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com/)

I had a great 4 day weekend. Have to go back to work tomorrow. Not sure how much crafting will get done. This Saturday will be a 10 hour fiesta! Until next time :)
Happy Scrappin'
