Crafty Card Gallery Blogaversary Challege- Nov 29, 2012

Here we are for another fun filled challenge brought to you by the Hostess with the Mostess, Miss Jen from Crafty Card Gallery and The Buckle Boutique. We received this bling in the mail and I have a gamillion ideas for it! We always make a card for one project and I had lots of Fun, Fun, Fun (so nice I had to say it thrice). Here is the card that I made with my Cameo Silhouette and some Jolee's Stickers.

Here is how you use their Dazzling Diamond Self Adhesive Bling! Bling!

Directions:

Peel the protective cover away from the sticky surface. Cut with scissors, paper cutter, or die-cut. When using a die-cut machine: use deep cut blade and cut on the backside. Adhere to paper, fabric, electronics, shoe arches and more! Not intended for children under age 13.

I really wanted to make a non-card project but decided to do a throwback to my cross stitch days. Here is another card that I made.

For this one I used my new Creative Memories Diamond border maker cartridge and some CM bling. This is an exclusive for Rewards Club Members and is used with the Border Maker System. If you join the Rewards Club you get:
  • An immediate club credit.
  • 15 percent club credit earned on the retail amount of each order. (Learn more about Digital Center purchases.)

Coming off a FANTABULOUS day crop....

Yesterday we had a Creative Memories all day crop in Freehold NJ. I had more than 10 wonderful friends that joined me and they inspired me so much that I had to carve out some more creative time today. Well, I had a card order for 4 Fourth of July cards. I started with a card sketch for one and then drew my own. All 4 cards were done in under an hour. Here is what I came up with:

Jolee's stickers were my best friends on these and I used Bazill basics paper. I just need to stamp the backs and send them on their way. Should you have a need for handmade cards for any occasion, please contact me HERE.

I have decided that I need to start working on my "All About Me" book and my Wizard of Oz digital book as well. I hope to bring you many more posts. Wishing you all a wonderful week. Until next time....

If you happened to visit my blog by accident, I want you to check out the complete hop by stopping first at the beginning of the birthday wishes! You should have come from visiting Barbara's blog. This is the present that I made for Tina's special day:

I found this frame at a major retail craft store and just new that I had to alter it. Tina is such a great inspiration to me and this phrase is all I wish for her. I took Jolee's Bling stickers and used them to accent the corners of the frame. I took out the picture in the frame and mounted white cardstock on Pink swirl vellum. I used a Stampin' Up stamp set to stamp the purple butterflies and sentiment.

Your next stop along wishing Tina the Big 3-0 Birthday Bash Blog Hop Wishes is my other wonderful friend, Ellen.

Thanks again for stopping and checking out my project for Tina today!!!! Happy Birthday Tina! Until next time....

JME Creations Turkey Time

Good morning all and welcome to another JME Creations design team day. The theme is Turkey Time and I love some turkey. So for my project I decided to make a realistic looking turkey. Here is my card:
I cut my Turkey from Provocraft's Doodlecharms cart and the Give Thanks is from Designer Calendar. I wanted the tray to be gold so I covered the white with my gold metallic gel pen. The patterned paper is from Creative Memories (I believe) and the cardstock base is from Stampin' Up. The leaves are stickers from Jolee's Boutique. I decided to sponge the sentiment so it did not look so flat. I hope you will hop on over to JME Creations to see what my other creative team members have made. Until next time....

JME Creations Design Team Owl Challenge

Knock, Knock
Who's there?
Owl.
Owl who?
The owl who is wearing a purple hat

Okay, I have to admit it was cheesy. I was remarking yesterday to my family that (for someone who has always disliked Halloween) I make the cutest Halloween cards. When given this challenge I was originally going to make  a plain old owl. Then I thought, "Why not make an owl with a Halloween eye mask?" Well, that thought flopped because I did not have a Cricut cartridge with an eye mask. So then I thought, "Since Halloween in coming, why not make him a Wizard (this is after looking at Harry Potter-like digi stamps). So Harry the owl was born!
The owl is from Create a Critter of course (we know that is my absolutely favorite cartridge). The background paper I had in my stash and I cut the little bats at 3/4" from the Hello Kitty Greetings cart (I hid their faces). I believe the hat is from Mini Monsters as is the Spooky tree. I used my gold gel pen to embellish his hat and silver to outline the tree and give the bats smiles. I have to do cutesy things to like a Halloween card. The pumpkin is from a Jolee's Boutique Dimensional pack (Funny Pumpkins) and I just tore the green paper to make hills and used Ranger Ink's Silver stickles for ooomph! This was a really fun challenge for me and I hope that you can join in too :) Hop on over to JME Creation's blog to see what everyone else made. Until next time....

It's Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas

Ok, I could not resist. I had another stint in the Crop Cave today to learn another technique- Exploding boxes!! I decided on the Christmas theme so I can enter it into several challenges this week. They are : Crafty Creations, Cricut Cardz, More Than Favors, My Creative Time and You Had Me at Craft. I cannot believe how cool this came out! I will give as much detail as possible. Here are the pics:
The paper is Stampin' Up, the stocking from Doodlecharms and check out the lace!
The snowflakes are Jolee stickers
Here is a peek of the inside

This pops open and has 4 slots for pics. Stamps are Stampin'  Up and the photo mats are cut from Elegant Edges
I plan on making more of these as presents for Christmas. I hope that you are enjoying my creative journey to broaden my horizons. If you want to try your own, I used this site as a guide:

Trifold Shutter Card with Echo Park Paper

Well, I posted on Facebook yesterday that this card took me 5 hours to complete. It was 5 hours but there was lots of family activity mixed in there including dinner. I actually got a bit carried away with the embellishing of this card and that is what took me so long. The easiest part was my paper choice. I used Echo Park's Summer Days paper pack that I won in a blog hop. I am so excited about this paper and need to get my hands on the Holly Jolly Christmas collection. I used a variety of materials for this card including Jolee stickers, Ink It Up Stamp Pads, Stampin Up ink pads, stamps, brads and Markers and other miscellaneous stamps. I am so impressed with how it turned out but it is very labor intensive. I can see where you may want to make a load of these at one time. I have two more new projects that I want to work on but not a whole lot of ambition today. Isn't Sunday supposed to be a day of rest . For now I will leave you with some pics of the card I made and the two sites I used for guidance:

It has been a "Fair" week :)

Actually it has been a fair week. I had some tests done and at least I now have answers and will progress from there. All good thoughts will be greatly appreciated (especially on May 20th). I got to spend some scrapping time with my dear friends after the Doctor and it did my heart good. I managed to get two pages done. I literally have two more sets of pics to finish and I have scrapped all that I have printed. This weekend I hope to get more printed and set up more pages. For now, here is my layout courtesy of L&M Storytellers kit :)

The embelishments are Jolee's. This was incredibly simple but so much fun! Until next time....

Happy Scrappin'
