flowers for a friend

The  wedding I talked about in the last post here  are the flower wall hangings I did for the wedding.  Some one else was going to do them but couldn't at the last moment.  So I got asked was happy to do it loved that they had Protea's in the arrangements reminded me of my grandmother she loved tropical flowers.

 These where my girls at the wedding.

 The wedding cake was lovely ( I also did not do this but I love looking at flowers since I use to be a florist and grew up in a flower shop remind me of my grandmother in heaven and miss her dearly.)

65 flowers

So today was a family get together to help one of my sisters prepare for her wedding next month.   My children and i sat in a room making 3 boutonnières, 2 corsages, the brides bouquet, the bouquet toss bouquet 11 arrangements for tables and 65 origami flowers... my children also helped make oriental fan decorations and lanterns and hanging paper ornaments for the wedding it was fun doing this for her she is such a nice person.

We also collected some beads to make her hair piece which me and my middle daughter will work on together.

Black Rose ( french beadwork)

My daughter is on her date right now so this can be posted.  She is at a girls choice dance.  She wanted something special to give the guy when they went on their date.  Anyone can give a rose but a handmade beaded black rose well that is just not common.  So this is what she gave the young man.

Pink Fairy

This is the last girl fairy in the group for the play.  She  is an extra character to add more variety to the stage and more color.  Meaning she isn't in the original play but that doesn't mean she isn't important to the play.  this one also has butterflies in her hair piece.

Hip piece for those who are curious the flowers on the streamers are just dismantled silk flowers with the ribbon going through the hole in the middle of the petals then just a simple knot to hold it in place would be pretty on an Easter dress too.

Peasblossom

Here is Peasblossom in Greens and whites.  I was running out of greens and whites at this point in the game I would have liked it to have more flowers.

This is Peasblossom ( once again this was fitting day so they are not in complete costume.  So please ignore the lack of wings and the addition of shoes and socks.

This is an extra fairy in the play so that there are more fairies on the stage in the play A mid summer nights dream.

Mustard Seed

Here is Mustard Seed another fairy form A Mid-summer Nights Dream.  This one has a little bee hiding in her bonnet and a few butterflies too.  I didn't get a decent picture of Mustard Seed so I will have to post one at a later date.

This looks weird from this angle but it actually doesn't look flat in the middle in real life the butterfly was turned weird in this picture so I fixed that since.
