Tussah Silk and Tulips shawl.

Love my new skein of Lace // Tussah Silk from DyeForYarn GmbH:-)) The colorway is called Violet coming to dust and it is such a gorgeous color. I cannot wait to knit with Tussah Silk again. My first design in this yarn was "Tulips" shawl. Tulips pattern can be found here:

I have wanted to work with this yarn again ever since. If you have never worked with this yarn before, I highly recommend it. It is velvety, soft and has an amazing drape.

Day 13 of "Wear a Shawl Challenge": Saroyan and Tulips.

For Day 13 of  my "Wear a Shawl Challenge" I wore two shawls :-))
First one is "Saroyan" by Liz Abinante. The shawl is available as a free download on Ravelry.
I wore it in the morning to have breakfast with my family on this Thanksgiving day :-)) This shawl is a great little accessory to have. It is small, but provides a little warmth and a nice touch of color :-))

Я одевала эту шаль сегодня утром в День Благодарения на завтрак в кафе с моей семьёй. Эта шаль может и очень маленькая, но она чудесный аксессуар :-))

Second shawl I have worn today was shawl of my own design "Green Tulips". This shawl is available on Ravelry or my Blog.
I wore this shawl today for a Thanksgiving dinner and my daughter's birthday party at home :-)) I love this shawl. The yarn is silk, the color is gorgeous, and the lace is beautiful :-)) This shawl is a great addition to a holiday outfit :))

Вторая шаль что я сегодня носила была шаль моего дизайна " Зеленные Тюльпаны". Описание доступно на Равелри и в блоге.
Я выбрала эту шаль для сегодняшнего ужина в честь Дня Благодарения и Дня Рождения моей дочери :)) Я люблю эту шаль. Шёлковaя пряжа, прекрасный цвет и чудесный ажурный узор делают эту шаль прекрасным дополнением к праздничному наряду :))

As I mentioned above, today was not only Thanksgiving, but also my daughter Maya turned 10 :-)) I remembered today about a very special project I did for her just before she was born. I was not knitting much those days or well ;-)) I can see all imperfections on that little cardigan that I had made for her, but it does not matter to me :-)) It is a very special project for me that I will always treasure :))

Как я упомянула выше, сегодня не только День Благодарения, а так же моей дочке Майе исполнилось 10 лет ;-)) Я вспомнила сегодня о одном очень особом проекте я завершила незадолго до её рождения. В то время я практически не вязала и вязала не особо хорошо ;-)) Сейчас я вижу все недостатки этого малюсенького кардигана, но это всё не важно для меня :-)) Я всегда буду хранить и беречь этот кардиганчик :-))

С Днём Благодарения мои дорогие читатели :-)) Спасибо за поддержку моего блога,  дизайнов и  вязальных приключений :)) и конечно ...

Tulips shawl pattern is now available :-))

New Design: Green Tulips Shawl.

After I run into some problems with my "Accidental Cardigan", I needed some shawl therapy to relax ;-)) I have chosen this simple and lovely pattern for the shawl. The pattern reminds me of tulips :-)) The pattern is  symmetrical, so two different charts were used for the left and right sides of the shawl. The border originally was planed to be wider, but I misjudged how much yarn I had left and started the border late. Not wanting to re-knit, I changed the border a little from the original idea. I also used picot BO to create that uneven look at the edge.
I am very happy with the result :-)) The yarn is truly spectacular. It is 2-ply 100 % Tussah silk from   DyeForYarn. Color way is called Tree frog sitting on a leaf :-))
I will be done writing the pattern in a day or two and will have the shawl test knitted before making it available on Ravelry and my blog. If you are interested in test knitting, please drop me a line on Ravelry.

После того как у меня возникли трудности в проекте " Случайный Кардиган" я решила что мне просто необходимо расслабиться немного шале-терапией :-)) Я выбрала этот узор, потому что он мне напомнил тюльпаны. Ажур симметричный и я использовала разные схемы для правой и левой сторон шали. Я так же планировала более широкую кайму, но не рассчитала правильно когда её надо начать ( а перевязывать не хотелось ) и в результате у меня было не достаточно пряжи на широкую кайму и пришлось её немного переделать. Тем ни менее, конечным результатом я очень довольна. Я сейчас дописываю инструкции и после тестирования, они будут доступны на Равелри и моём блоге.
