"Darling Emma" cardigan

It is finally finished :-))))
Here is my cardigan "Darling Emma" by Joji Locatell.
My project on Ravelry.

The cardigan turned out beautiful. I love it :-)) It was a long project for me, but it was worth all the time and effort. It is a beautiful design and a pretty straight forward knit. The cardi is seamless and knitted form the bottom-up. Collar is joined to the neck stitches as it is being knitted and sleeves are knitted seamless form the top and shaped by short rows. I did do some modification, but they mostly where done to customize the cardigan for me and represent my personal knitting preferences and the fit I like. The instructions are easy to follow. The lace part is very easy and collar joint to the neck stitches is simple to do as well. The short row cap shaping was new to me and took some getting used to. I have used Cherry Tree Hill Supersock Silk Solids yarn in Natural. The yarn is just fabulous :-)) First time knitting with it and I love it. 20 % silk content makes all the difference. The knitted fabric after washing became very silky and drapes beautifully. It stretched slightly, mostly in length of cardi, but not in the width. Sleeves did not stretched. The cardigan has luxurious feel to me :-))

Knitting on...

I had few days with some time to knit and was able to make some progress in my WIPs.
First, "Emma" cardigan is moving along nicely.

У меня была возможность повязать побольше чем обычно в последнии несколько дней. В результате мой текущий проект "Emma" продвинулся немного.

Second project that I have on hold at the moment, but will continue as soon as Emma cardi done is also a little bit more along from the last time I posted some pics. Here are where is my cardi "Amiga" is at the moment.

И другой проект, кардиган "Amiga"  , тоже немного больше связан с последнего раза я писала про этот проект.

This is been a nice weekend for me overall, except for the fact that I have twisted my ankle earlier today. ;-((  I am walking, but might have to stay off my feet tomorrow. On the positive side, more time for knitting ;-))
I have some new ideas for my blog, that I have been thinking about for more that a few weeks now. I will share them with you soon :-))

В целом, выходной прошёл хорошо, за исключением того факта что я подвернула ногу в щиколотке сегодня утром ;-(( Я хожу, но возможно надо будет посидеть дома и не ходить особо. На положительной стороне, это даст мне возможность повязать :-))
У меня есть новые идеи для моего блога над которыми я думаю уже пару недель и скоро смогу ими с вами поделиться :-))

Test Knitting "Emma"

I am test knitting "Emma" cardigan for Joji. Wonderful pattern :-)) The cardigan is seamless and knitted from the bottom up. Sleeves are then knitted seamless from the top.  The cardigan is long and wrap style. I am using Supersock Silk Solids by Cherry tree Hill. This yarn feels lovely . It is silky and soft, but well spun.  The only thing is that I had to use metal needles instead of my favorite bamboo needles. The yarn is not slippery at all, despite the silk content.  The yarn is 4 ply, so it is a slow process, but very enjoyable one ;-))

Мой текущий проект это кардиган "Emma" от Joji. Замечательный дизайн :-)) Кардиган бесшовной конструкции и вяжется снизу вверх. Рукава после вяжутся сверху и тоже без швов.  Я вяжу пряжей Supersock Silk Solids от Cherry tree Hill. Нитка очень приятная на ощупь и в вязании.  Она шёлковая и мягкая, но хорошо скрученная.  Единственный недостаток, что пряжа совсем не скользит несмотря на шёлк в составе. По этой причине мне пришлось перейти с моих любимых бамбуковых спиц, на металлические.  Нитка тоненькая, 4плай, и проект продвигается не очень быстро, но зато очень увлекательно :-)))
