Day 4 of "Wear a Shawl Challenge": Road to Big Sur

For Day 4 of my "Wear a Shawl Challenge" I chose the shawl "Road to Big Sur"
The shawl pattern is based on shawl   "Snow Drops & Snap Peas" Shawl By Kirsten Kapur.
I have knitted this shawl from photographs before the pattern came out. I loved the design so much and just could not wait ;-))

Для Дня 4 "Wear a Shawl Challenge" я выбрала шаль "Road to Big Sur". Шаль основана на шали   "Snow Drops & Snap Peas" Shawl By Kirsten Kapur.  Я вязала по фотографиям до того как инструкции вышли. Мне очень понравилась шаль и я не могла дождаться  :-))

This was my first semicircular shawl and the first shawl I calculated and figured out how to do on my own :))) I love the shape of this shawl. It covers upper arms nicely when wrapped around the body. Very warm and cozy :-)) I love the color a lot too. Lavender is one of my favorites :-)) This shawl is great for more festive occasions as can be seen from the pictures I have taken before for my blog and Ravelry, but also perfect for everyday going to work and running errands times. The shawl is big enough to wear comfortably without a pin and provides a nice splash of color to my work clothes :-))

Эта шаль была первая шаль полукруг что я связала, а так же первая шаль которую я сама рассчитала и разобралась как связать :-)) Мне очень нравиться форма этой шали. Полукруг достаточно большой чтоб покрыть верхнюю часть рук и это делает  шаль уютной и тёплой :-)) К тому же сиреневый цвет один из моих любимых :-). Эта шаль хороша как для праздничных моментов ( как можно видеть по фотографиям что я сделал ранее) так и для повседневной жизни ( работа, дела :-)) Шаль достаточно большая и её можно удобно носить и без булавки.  Мне нравиться эта шаль как яркий аксессуар к моей будничной одежде :-))

BIG SUR

In August I was vacationing in the Big Sur area with my family. Some of you have asked me to share the pictures from that trip. I want to start my blog with this post of the breathtakingly beautiful Central California cost. Since this is going to be a knitting blog ;-))) I will first mention two projects that were knitted or photographed during that trip. В Августе я была с семьёй в отпуске по побережью Центральной Калифорнии. Я обещала поделиться фотографиями с моими друзьями. С этого и начну мой блог :-)) Конечно, этот блог будет в основном про вязание и поэтому хочу показать два проекта связанных с отпуском. Шаль для меня была связанна в машине по дороге ;-)) а шаль для дочки была сфотографирована на горной речушке в палаточном городке :-))

Next project is Little Shells. This is a shawl I have knitted for my daughter. The photographs were taken at the Big Sir campground. the project can be also found on Ravelry.
