Hello Sassy Fans and welcome to another day of Sassy Inspiration. Autumn here today and I've got a little 'Stardust' for you...
She came out a little clean and simple, but I actually had elegant plans for her lol. Alas, I found this paper and really loved the colors in it I didn't want to cover up the pretty design it already had. The DP is from a K& Company stack, then I've got some kraft and some bazzill swiss dot cardstock. All the papers were distressed with my Tim Holtz distressor and then the edges were inked. The flower is from wild orchid and I colored it with copics to match. The ribbons are from my stash.
Here's a closer view of Stardust. Sorry I don't have a list of copics as I was working on two projects at once and they all got put away together. I don't know if you can see it very well, but I've actually colored her background with chalks then a few stardust stickles and pearls and all done. That's all for me today. *** Edited to Add*** I had a comment below asking me about envelopes for cards with large embellishments, so I thought I'd share that I use and envelobox. You can make one by cutting your paper at 11"x11" and scoring 3&7/8" and 4&5/8". Where the lines intersect you will see triangles form...cut out the triangles into your centermost score line, then then fold along the lines you have made. It should look like an envelope now...just adhere 3 sides together and the last one can be tucked in like a regular envelope or you can use a sticker or something to close it. These dimensions will yield you a envelope that is about 3/4" deep for 1/2" score at 4" and 4&1/2". Also It's best to use sturdy paper. I like to use tag board as it's very sturdy and cheap. For an added touch you can decorate the top of your envelope to match your card.
