ATC's For Rubber Dance

Good morning and happy Sunday. We're halfway through April already, which means it's reminder time for the Rubber Dance colour/make altered stuff challenge. This time around I've gone for the colours.

These were very simply made with a gelli plate background, then simple stamping, embossing and colouring. I think that the Antique Botanicals plate looks really nice with these colours.

And this is our inspiration photograph. Isn't it beautiful!

Supplies
Sequins (of course)
Tim Holtz Stickers

Rubber Dance Stamps
Antique Botanicals

A Trio of ATC's

Good morning and happy Wednesday. PaperArtsy are currently running an ATC challenge which I have been meaning to enter all month. I've finally got a little bit of spare time, and this is what I've made.

I started by making a brayered background with Fresco's in yellows and translucent green, then samping this wonderful long stamp from Tracy Scott 10

Then I coloured it with more Fresco's and a white pen. Now what numpty would try out the colours on the corner of a piece they were working on? That would be me! Luckilly the panel was a bit big so I could chop that bit off!

Finally the scarey bit, I cut them all a smidge smaller than ATC size so that I could layer them onto some black card. I've done a bit more stamping with a smaller stamp from the same set, and there's a Tim Holtz sticker to finish, now we're all done!

Have a lovely week, and thanks very much for looking xx

An ATC For SDC

No I'm not going to speak in initials all day, it's just that the wonderful Sam has chosen ATC's as her theme this week over at Stampotique Designers Challenge.
Here's mine, it took me about 15 minutes to make from start to finish.
And here's just a fraction of my practice pieces that took a couple of hours and all ended up in the bin :-)
Isn't it great when a plan comes together NOT!
It's just a Distress Inky background, with Pisa and Find Your Balance Text stamped and embossed. Design Cube has been stamped in white acrylic, with a washi tape hand to finish. I knew what a wanted in my head but I just couldn't get it to come together, but I do like this, in fact the new release stamps are all my favourites (along with every one of my existing stamps :-)  )
I won't be around for a couple of weeks as DH and I are going on holiday - together - just the 2 of us.  Anyway no laptops are allowed, (spoilsport) just sun, sea and no work for 2 whole weeks!
So for all of you who arn't going on holiday ( I know, no more rubbing it in) make an ATC and join in our challenge. Link it up nicely and remember no digis. There are 2 $30 gift certificates up for grabs each month, and in the words of the old lottery ad
It Could Be YOU!!
Thanks very much for looking and I'll catch up with you all when you get back xx

Only 17 More Sleeps....

...till Christmas!!
I've been having another attempt at tartan with my Moonshadow inks, this time using shades of blue and purple together with Long John Silver lol. (I just love this name)
It's really hard to take a photograph because of the lovely gleam. I put some of the Long John Silver in a mister, and sprayed through a Dylusion stencil, then went over the top of it with some ferro.

Now it was time for the bling! Tim Holtz snowflakes stamped and embossed with Frantage embossing powders, enamels and glass glitter.
The Tim Holtz blueprint santa was stamped directly onto the card, and the snowflake brad was given the Frantage treatment.
The Moonshadow inks and everything Frantage can be found at The Stamp Man.

I'm entering this into the following challenges
Fun with ATC's  - Embossing and
ATC's With Attitude - anything goes
Thanks very much for looking x
