Happy First Christmas!

Good morning and a very happy Tuesday! This is my second project for the Country View Crafts Christmas challenge.

As you may know my first Grandchild was born 7 weeks early in October. I am very happy to say that she is now safely home, and if she's anything like her grandma, is looking forward to Christmas!

This is the photo card that I made for her.

Those of you with a very long memory may recognise these DCWV  12x12 paper pads.

The card itself is just under 8x8 so just right for larger photos.
The flaps are 6.25 x 4.25 so there is room for 8 6x4 photos.
I can't wait to see her over the Christmas period. I'll be taking far more photos than any album will ever hold lol.

I can't guarantee that Susan will have any 20 year old paper pads, but all things Christmas can be found here in the store!

Take care and have a very happy week, and a very Merry Christmas xx

Walking In A Winter Wonderland

Good morning and a very happy Sunday. Today I'm taking a break from Halloween and moving right into Christmas!

I thought I would go big with this one as the Winter Wonderland papers are so beautiful (and it gives me a chance to play with artificial snow)

Just look at this beautiful owl!

And the collection comes with sentiments too!

You can find the collections here in the store in A4, 12x12, and digital format.

As always there is new inspiration every day in our Facebook groups

Relatively Thoughtful

Have a lovely day whatever you are doing, and thanks so much for looking x

Noel for Country View Crafts

Good morning and happy Saturday - welcome to December. I know that I say it all the time, but where did this year go! So what could the December challenge at Country View Crafts be??? Yep, you got it!

There are many stamp companies that I love, but I have to say that no one does Christmas quite like Tim Holtz, and I find myself coming back to old favourites year after year (and buying new favourites of course)

I started by making two gelli prints, one in pink, and one in blue. The pink one looks red in the top picture, and you'll be seeing the blue one in a few days.
I stamped Tim Holtz trees from an old Christmas set using Distress Oxides. I also added some script. I liked this but it looked a bit in your face.
So I toned it down a little by adding some white gesso spatters, it really makes all the difference.
The Noel stamp is also from an old Tim set. I added a black layer and stitched it onto my base card.
I did say that I was using my old favourite, I've had these Bigz dies for many years. I've cut them out on chipboard and added patterned papers.
And here we are, all done. Neil always says that I should make a few of each card, but I never know how a card is going to turn out until it's done. Now I've made the first one though I know that I could make a few more, but where's the fun in that lol.
I hope you have a very happy December, and thanks very much for looking x

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow

Good morning and happy Saturday! A new month always means the start of a new challenge at Rubber Dance, and it's an extra special one this month. This time it's a month long challenge with a colour theme, and/or glitter. As it's Christmas I've gone for lots of glitter!

Yes that frost is real, in fact we had a full on blizzard a couple of days ago.

I started with this tea light holder from a rather well know Scandi store. I thought the colour was just right for what I had in mind.

Then I started to stamp the images from Whimsical Winter, Playful Penguins, and Winter Wonderland with Stazon inks.

Did someone say glitter???

I coloured them all in with DecoArt glass paints, glass pens, and Stickles.

Then I added some Snowtex and ultra fine glitter.

It looks even nicer in the dark.

Such a cute penguin!

I love this tree.

Here's our mood board, and look at that fabulous prize! Remember you have all month to enter so what are you waiting for!
If you need more stamps (and who doesn't) just quote SDFreeShip for free worldwide P&P on orders of 15 Euros and above.

I'll be back to see you later in the month, and thanks very much for looking xx

Only 131 Days 'Till Christmas

You all wanted to know that didn't you lol.
Don't hit the messenger, it's just that it's Christmas time over at Sam Poole's Creative Studios , and for this one I've gone all traditional. Hope you like it, and thanks for looking x
