Penny Black June Midway Inspiration

June Midway Inspiration

Anything Goes

or the optional theme-

'Happy Birthday'

in honor of PBSC's 16th  birthday!

I am using another vintage Penny Black stamp set, but I did find a few links where it is still available. It's a super cute set! All the critters are definitely having a great party!

I lightly stenciled the Shadow of Leaves stencil for the background. I blended distress inks  on the sentiment and added it to the bottom of the card. The images are colored with copics and cut out with my ScanNCut. All the sweet little images were added on with pop dots. A fairly simply card but geeze, I used so many tools on this one. Now to put all the goodies back in my craft room!

Penny Black Saturday Challenge-January Something New

 Penny Black  Saturday Challenge-January

Anything Goes

or the optional theme-

Something New!

Welcome to our New 2021 Year Challenge!

I love this stamp. Although it is not new to me, it is new to this winter scene!

I cut her out with my Scan N Cut, and cut the trees with my Silhouette. You can't really tell but this is a layered card with the trees and our little girl all  on pop dots. I intended to emboss the sentiment, but realized my heat gun was at my Dad's house and by golly, holding the embossing in front of a little heater didn't cut it. Needless to say it didn't melt so I stamped with a SU! white craft ink. Not my first choice but it worked ok.

You can see the other card I made with this stamp here.

Stamps used:

Gift of Love and Snippets (sentiment)

and

Three Tree Silhouettes  from My Scrap Chick

You Are My Sunshine HMFMC219

** NEW CHALLENGE, HMFMC#219 **

"YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE"

I had fun making this sunny creation!

I love that song "You Are My Sunshine"--it reminds me of my Mom singing that song to all her grand babies-including my children! You could certainly use any inspiration at all for your Sunshine creation!

I cut this sun with my Silhouette and added a Lawn Fawn pierced circle in the center. I used my new cling  Forget Me Nots stamp-cut out with my ScanNCut2. Isn't this image just sweet?  The sentiment is from  Technique Tuesday Bring On the Sun by Ali Edwards-one of my favorite sentiment sets.

Bella Bunny Boo

I just had to make this little Bella Bunny Boo digi from Sassy's Cheryl...!!!!

Bella looks like my beloved doggie Taibo.  Taibo is mostly whiteish with undertones of beige, so I just added a few flicks  here and there to add in his "lowlights"!  Isn't he just adorable sitting there with his tilted head?

I made two of these cards...one for my son (or Taibo's brudder) ...and one for my 'grand-doggies'  Billy and Porter.  I am sure they will recognize him right away when they get this in the mail!

Scan N Cut 2 details:
I sized this image in word so that it was about 4.5 inches tall. I cut it out with my Scan N Cut 2. That was a little tricky because this image has a lot of open lines. I did choose the color image scan option, even though it was a black and white image. The B&W option wanted to recognize all the lines even if I only wanted an outside cut.  I finally had to close the openings in with pencil, which I erased after I got it to cut out.  I had to scan numerous times before I got the perfect outline cut. I then cut a blank outline for the back of the card. I used a .12 offset. This card fits easily into an A2 envelope.

I am sharing Bella/Taibo with the following challenges: (Please visit these challenge blogs...there is soooo much inspiration to be seen!)

Sally's Weigh In-Sassy Cheryl Digi

One of my former Design Team members of years past showed off this adorable  Sassy Cheryl image on her blog the other day and I just had to hop over and buy it right then and there!!!

Tis the season for Weight Watchers you know!!! LOL

If you would like to see the wonderful projects Kecia Hicks creates-- you can visit her blog Stamping Deets HERE.

I sized this digi pretty big---she is over 6.5 inches tall! I cut her out with my Scan N Cut and then cut out a small pink offset mat for her. I also cut the offset out of white 3 times and glued them all together to make it firm enough that Sally would stand up and not by 'floppy'.

I then designed an easel piece for the back piece so that Sally could stand on her own! Here you can see a side view.

It is basically just a piece of cardstock scored at 1/4 inch and cut in a half of a triangle-ish shape.  I just snipped the easel  until she stood up  just right! You can't see the easel  from the front.

I stamped the Paper Smooches sentiment (from Group Hugs) on a round pierced die piece and glued it on the back of Sally. I also stamped a teeny tiny XOXOXO inside the weight window on the scale. It is  from the Snippets Penny Black clear set

I think this will be fun standing on a desk-any encouragement is appreciated when you are  trying not to pop that piece of candy into your mouth.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

Thanks for stopping by today-this was a fun one!

Penny Black November Saturday Challenge

Dies and/or Punches

I love these vintage Penny Black stamps...doesn't this sweet little girl make such an adorable holiday card?

The image is cut out and added on to the embossed background with pop dots....(sorry you can not see the pretty embossing). I used a Silhouette Store step card file and a fun Paper Smooches sentiment. I added holly leaves (Martha Stewart punch) on each side of the sentiment...and gotta love those goosebump dots. The cardstock is Doodlebug Santa Express.

Vampires Blood-Treat Holder #27

Halloween/Fall Treat Holder #27

I don't normally like creepy or scary Halloween decorations...but I could not get this project out of my mind...so here it is!

This was a very fast and easy one!!! All I did was add little redhots into an old time shaped bottle, added  a print and cut label and Viola-all done!!!

I am entering in the following challenges:

Fire Up your machine and let's see what you have to share!!!

Challenge Info. #30 "Anything Goes"
Starts: October 1
Ends: October 31

Copied from the Day 1 Project Post:

I LOVE making fun little treat holders for the different holidays coming up. I give them to friends, family and co-workers. Most of them end up in the garbage, but a few people have kept every.single. treat holder I have given them over the years. It is fun to see them lined up in their offices!  I decided this year to try NOT to  make 30-35 of the same project, but to try to make a variety of little Halloween or Fall themed projects! Lucky for you-you can follow my "treat box" journey for 2015!

Ghost Boogers Jack-O-Lantern Teeth!!!!-Day 16

Halloween Treat Holder #16

I don't know what it is about little kids and boogers, but I am sure these will be a big hit!!!!
These little boxes would be fun to give out for Halloween or to tuck into the littles lunch boxes.   I cut them with my ScanNCut2, but they would be super easy to cut out with scissors too! I added a  little twine just for fun!

This was another print and cut designed by Kiki from Kiki and Company.  I found these when I found the Vampire I posted yesterday. Kiki also has a cute little Boo Basket print and cut HERE.

You can find the link to these little boxes on the  tater tots and jello blog.

Halloween Vampire Print and Cut-Treatie #15

Halloween Treat Holder #15

Isn't this little print and cut Vampire just as cute as can be???
You can make it too!  It is a freebie designed by Kiki from Kiki and Company

You can find the free download on the Crafting Chicks blog.

All I can say is awesome-fun stuff!!!

Here is my new toy...a Scan N Cut 2!!!!

I printed this on plain ole' Georgia Pacific white cardstock, (image on one side, flipped over and printed black polka dots on the other side) loaded into the machine and cut away.  It cut in about 15 seconds.  It cut with a few wobbly lines in places and I am thinking the machine was a little whacked out over those amazing stripes...or it was operator error...LOL I did 3 or 4 little snips to smooth out a few wiggles and it was perfect!
The machine is still so new...this is only the 4th time I have cut something...it cuts around stamps with ease and oh boy am I in love with the print and cut feature!!!

I did add a little glue dot to keep the vampire wings closed and then tied it up with a little B&W twine.
