A quick browse of What is on my desk Wednesday!

This is my long neglected upstairs desk...I think I miss it. I have taken to crafting downstairs so I have not sat  at this desk for probably ummmm.... since Halloween! I can even see some Halloween creations I forgot about-DANG! Do you see my poor one eyed Mickey still? I lost his eye LOL!

Today I am going to show you some wonderful creations I received in the mail-Birthday cards and Christmas cards from my wonderful blogging friends!
This one is from probably my longest cyber friend Yara...Yara and I go way back to the early days of our House Mouse Yahoo Group in about 2000! She is always so sweet to remember my birthday! Thank you for this lovely Yara!

Next is a sweet sweet Happy Hopper card from Curt O'Brien! Curt and I have been House Mouse stamping buddies/teamies/ friends for ages! He always adds such wonderful little touches of embellies! Thanks my friend-love that gingerbread Happy Hopper!
This card was made by Pam Sparks(and boy can she color too)! She is the queen of lovely die cut cards. I think I gave her a strong hint about how much I loved this card one day when I visited her blog-and being the super duper stamper friend that she is-she sent it to me! The dimension is so pretty and the detailed dies so amazing! Thanks again Pam!
This lovely card has a lovely antique feel with it's embossing, lace and shading with inks! This card is from our own WOYWW'er Brenda Butler! I was just tickled to have her send this too me. Such a classy card!
Thanks Brenda!
Another cute card from Deloris. This is a birthday card (she sent me the Christmas Cod card I showed a while back).  Deloris and I were on the Great Impressions DT together and share a love of our silhouette machines too! Thanks again Deloris!

A surprise BRAK from Gillian Walker over at SCS! They are always so nice to send out cards to their group!

Another BRAK(Birthday random act of kindness) from Jan Farnsworth-Thanks Jan!

Okay, I am done showing off all the lovely creations I received in the mail this week! I don't think I have ever gotten such fun mail-all in one week too! I am blessed with such great crafty friends!

Now hop over to  Julia's house and see what she is up too-there might be some kind of holiday shenanigans going on-you never know with Julia! Thanks for popping in today and hope you have a few minutes to pop over to

What's On Your Workdesk ? Wednesday #136-RAKS

Well It is What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday over at Julia's today. (Tuesday night on the west coast of the USA).

I don't have anything of my own to show you today because I went to play BUNCO (a dice game) tonight. You can see my clean desk did not last too long, although it would be a 5 minute clean up just to put my copics away and mail the box of Outline cards to be displayed at Conventions.  Not much of a snoop I am afraid!

I was hoping to do a wrap up of all the wedding stuff, but maybe next week! I promise to finish all that good stuff soon!

I thought maybe I would show off some of my wonderful RAKS I received over the last month!
Enjoy!!!!
 Curt O'Brien from Curt's PlayHouse
BRAK from Yara Baird
 BRAK from Barb Nesta
 RAK from Shirley Nakaima

These wonderful creations remind me of why I started stamping...I am tickled to receive such wonderful RAK's! Thanks to all!

Hanglar Valentine and a few RAK's

I made this hAnglar/stAnglar card with some shared images from Larissa! She is always so kind and shares some lovely images from across the ocean with me! Thanks girl! I made this Valentine for a favorite couple I have known for years...she is probably peeking at this anyway LOL!  No use trying to be sneaky...but here they are holding hands!  This paper is so fun, you can't tell here but the red hearts are foil type paper...very shiny and Valentine-ish!

card details:
-----------------------------
Stamps: hAngler/sTangler, sentiment by Stampin Up From a Friend set
Cardstock: Green Galore and lovely DP from Little Yellow Bicycle (Heart Strings with Foil)
Ink: Copics
Misc: Martha border punch, pearls, dimensionals, SU satin white ribbon

I want to share a RAK that Larissa sent me...actually more that a RAK..it is a little box that held some great IRAK's (image RAK's), of which I used a couple on the card above.

This box has a belly band to hold it close and when you take it off, it reveals a personal note from Larissa.  Open up this fun creation and it has a box that holds all the great images that Larissa shared with me! Oh she is so good to me!!! Thanks Larissa!

And this RAK is from my sweet niece Melissa Mason. I sure wish she lived next door...we would definitely be craftin' fools for sure!!!! She really is the reason I jumped into buying a cricut. One of these days I am going to go camp out in her craft room. She sent this  Valentine to me last year...but I just can't keep looking at it so I thought I would share it with you today! I love that ribbon with the little charm. Hard to tell but this is an easel card. Thanks Miss! We must stamp together someday soon!

It's the most wonderful time of the year!!! RAK's

When Barb gave me this card...she told me it will forever be one of a kind...too much cutting and too many layers to duplicate. I feel pretty special receiving this!

I received this from the SCS birthday committee.Made by Maggie, aka StampinCatMom.  The inside says take time to chase the snowflakes... I like that idea!

My stamping bud Charla made me this pretty and shiney card. She is also my childhood buddy, SU Demo, and craft enabler LOL! We do like out stamping toys, don't we Charla?

My longtime House Mouse and Friend Yahoo group buddy Eve sent me this glittery card. Lots of fun detail and glittery birthday hats. I so love how she added the circles and the details on the little balloons too!

Allison sent me this lovely PB Hedgie card with the great string art. Now where did you find the patience to do that Allison???  Thanks Allison...love this DP too! I am sure you were aware that red is my fave color too! LOL

Last but certainly not least is this card from Kathay in Texas. She hangs out on the House Mouse and Friends Yahoo group as well...This group has been around for years and I think Kathay, Eve and I go wayyy back. (probably since 2002 or so) (long before I knew about blogging!) Kathay and I are American Idol cyber friends. We usually discuss the progress each week, so it won't be long now!

Thanks to all of my wonderful, crafty friends. When I receive such wonderful cards, it always reminds me why I started making cards...getting mail is such a day brightener! I must go through my stash and send out some cards!

Halloween RAK's from Curt's World!

I received these wonderful RAK's from Curt over at Curt's World.  I wish you could all see the wonderful detail on the card above. The sponging of the eerie night scene is just perfect!!! He added a fun little glittery ghost and even self embossed the little tombstone. Such detail. So love the fence and creepy trees too!

Curt also made this great candy holder. What a lucky stamper I am! Curt and I have become great cyber friends over the years...and we have sort of a tradition of sending each other Halloween cards. I will show you the one I made for him in a few days...want it to reach him first!
Stop by and say Hello to Curt...you will really enjoy his blog!

A Gwamma Banner

Looky...Looky...Looky!  I have been blessed with many wonderful new friends since starting this blog. One great friend, Larissa from Car-D-elicious sent me this SURPRISE new Gwamma gift! This little LUKE banner was made special for me! Imagine that!!!

Larissa made this banner and added these wonderful  Eline Pellinkhof images to it because she knows just how much I love these stamps! Isn't this just the cutest thing you have ever seen? I have to say I am so tickled I can't stop looking at the wonderful coloring. She is the master of making her own backgrounds and DP as well. If you would like to read how she made this...you can read her post HERE.

Thank you Larissa...what a wonderful gift to celebrate Luke's birth!

Pretty gold embossed 3D Christmas tree card from Ida. The torn edge on this card is embossed in gold and the white cardstock is very glittery.

I received all these lovely cards in the last few weeks. I was so tickled that I went to my card stash and mailed out all my cards that could be used for Christmas. It reminded me of why I started stamping in the first place! I am such a card hoarder...I am trying to reform and share some of the joy that these cards have given me! I hope this finds you celebrating a wonderful Christmas Day!
