SPRING IS COMING

Hello Peeps,
It's gorgeous here today and maybe Spring is coming after all.
I was inspired to do a card in lovely fresh colours and I used my new-ish Die and Emboss set - from Marianne .... the honeycomb one DF3404.
The image is called  'Bee Fido Puppy ' by SANDRA CALDWELL.  I did him to look like a Dalmation :-)

I used a bit of bee backing paper and some flower buttons from my stash, which I tied on with pale yellow teeny string :-) I used my tiny letter stamps to put HAP-BEE using the cut out pieces from the die and I also used the die as a stencil for the lower part of the card.

Thanks for buzzing by :-)

LUCK O' THE IRISH & RAINY DAYS

Hello Peeps,
I have a couple of things to show you today.
The first is my entry for round #3 of the Progressive challenge with Sandra Caldwell. I used the freebie given to me on an Irish inspired background with some added digital embellies.

My second show is the latest set of Ticket Kits that I have made for the Artsy Fartsy Swap over at YOUR PAPER PANTRY.
The theme this time is  " APRIL SHOWERS ".

The image I used is a print & cut  from KADOODLEBUG DESIGNS and he's called " RAINY DAY DUCK" - I just went to get a Link and you can snag him just now for only $0.30  !!!!!!    CLICK HERE to find him.

I printed him out and then covered the whole sheet with clear sticky-back plastic before cutting him out. This gave him a cool wet look :-D I added a cut out rainbow which I also covered in the plastic.
The background was made with a Pocket & Tag cutting file from Silhouette which I stamped with a Droplet rubber stamp from Designs By Ryn at De-Stempelwinkel. I used a home made stencil to ink some clouds on there first.

There are lots of different Swaps over at YPP so why not pop over and have a look :-D

Thanks for popping in :-)

NO MORE VALENTINE's SMOOSH... OK ? !!!!!

Happy Sunday Peeps,

I am here with my piece for a Progressive Challenge that is going on at Sandra Caldwell's FB Fan Page. I have used  "Bee Fido Puppy " for my creation. I printed him 3 times and then coloured him with Spectrum Noir pens. I then fussy cut him and mounted the pieces with foamies to make him 3D.
The background papers are from a set by FLOPPY LATTE called ' Love Blooms' but it seems that this one is no longer available.  Other digis by FL can be found at STITCHYBEAR STAMPS.
I put glossy accents on the bee bodies and Stickles on their wings.

The honeycomb is done with a Marianne Design Extra embossing folder complete with die cutter :-)
I used my tiny Studio G alphabet stamps for the wording.

That's me for Valentine's now..... NOooooo more !!!!!

Thanks for popping in xxx

HOLLEY's CELEBRATION

Prizes everyday!!

Hi Peeps,
Happy Saturday and I hope you are managing to squeeze in some crafting time this weekend ? :-)

My little chum Holley is having a special event throughout February to celebrate a health milestone which is very personal to her and she is having competitions and prizes all through the month. I am going to be involved in there somewhere too :-D
Well - for Wednesday 2nd, there is a Bookmark Making Contest and this features a really cute image which was made especially for Holley by Sandra Caldwell. I went and bought this image and made a bookmark for the competition.
I coloured the image with Promarkers and used a page from a book, and sat the little bear on an embossed 'congratulations' banner. Then I added a  die cut border and an inspirational quote from John Guare, which says " It's amazing how a little tomorrow can make up for a whole lot of yesterday ".
I inked the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink and added a little tassle from my stash.

Image: "Bearly a Headache" by Sandra Caldwell is available on Etsy.

I hope you will pop over and join in, see the other bookmarks and show support for Holley :-)

Hugz
IKE xx
