I had great plans for the Holiday Weekend. Well, that did not happen..... Things usually do not go as planned.
On the plus side, we did get some items removed from the garage. That is a project that will be going on for quite some time.
I also got DH's closet cleaned out. He was actually willing to part with some things. It looks so much better now......
Laundry was done - Hurray- There is something good about clean clothes............
I got some nine patch nut blocks done. I have been thinking about a name for that quilt. "Shipshewanna Bound" is what I have settled on so far. I completed and packaged for mail and today mailed, a Row Jane set and my last Round Robin border for Group 7. Group 2 border is waiting but I have a few weeks before I need to start on it. I also did 3 blocks on my Dutch Treat. I even got a kit all ready with the necessities for that packed up as a "take with you" project. I finished the last stitches on another wedding sampler. Only one left to do at this time. It will have to wait for a bit because Bridget and I are supposed to begin "The Rose" next week and I will need that frame to work it on.
DH and managed a few long walks together and a wee bit of yard work. I might even get some pictures posted soon.

This week seems to be going well. I have all the inside borders on Heidi's quilt and one of the outside borders attached. All of the borders are made except for the four cornerstone blocks. I will be able to mail on time. That is so good.
Carmela's RR came in Monday. It looks great. I want to add an applique border to it but haven't decided on a design yet. Before I start that I need to get the Row Janes up and running again.
There has been some discussion on another Round Robin. I will not join another one until I have the two quilts completed from this group. That means quilted, bound and labeled.........
I am working daily on the Wedding Sampler for Lori. I actually might get it done this weekend. I need the bars it is mounted on for the Rose cross stitch. Bridgit and I are supposed to begin that project on June 7th.
Our new clock was delivered yesterday. I will try to get a picture of it posted later. It is a Seth Thomas Sonoma Chime. It plays the Westminister Chime on the quarter hour, starting with 4 bells and adding 4 each quarter hour. It also chimes the hour.

With Hanne's help I have gotten my list published here.
I finished the last stitch in the Birdseye Shawl last night. Perhaps pictures later. Right now I am still learning how to make this work...
I did a few stitches on Lori's Wedding Sampler this morning before Vickie came for breakfast. I hope to find an hour or two to work on it before my TV viewing begins at 9:00 PM. I like to do some simple knitting those last two hours on Friday night. I have been thinking of the next thing up. It will be the garter stitch afghan. The burgundy vest should be the next item up. If I can find the needles easily when I get home from work for the ribbing on the armhole edge then I will finish it first.
I sent a quilt off to be quilted. It is the one I made for DS Jean and I really want her to have it soon. It is only going to Vermont so the long arm quilter should have it on Monday.
I really must finish Lori's Wedding Sampler before the first of June. Bridgit and I are scheduled to start the "Rosa centifolia Anglica rubra" by Pierre-Joseph Redoute. It is a graph that if free from www.scarletquince.com. We are also working on a stump work kit in class on Wednesday nights. There are so many things I want to do........

I will admit to beginning another project. I reviewed my list of completed projects and felt I could allow another start...... I became a nine patch nut. After all, a little comic relief is needed from time to time.
The shawl I am knitting will be complete within the next 10 days. It is my "watching the telly" project.
I am over 1/2 way through with yet another wedding sampler. (Only one more to go after this one is done). That is the project I work on in the evenings while I listen to books.
My leader/ender quilt is growing because I am working on a Round Robin border. That will be complete and in the mail in less than a week.
On Saturday, I hope to use the table at my LQS to sandwich 3 quilt tops that are ready. I can add them to the other one that is waiting to be machine quilted. This summer when the temperature rises I can go downstairs where it is cool and loose myself in machine quilting. I have done very little of it and don't do it well. I have been collecting tops to quilt and by July I should have 3 more.
