This is the start of an inspiration patch, where I hope that fellow scrappers and creators will come and find some inspiration, or even leave some inspiration for me.

Cards - FabScraps Serenity Collection

Hello Everyone

Sorry for being missing in action for a few days.
I so love having my brother here and it's really so great to spend time with him and the family and sadly he left yesterday evening but now at least, my life can get some normality again! ;-)

I have some cards to share with you, from the soft and beautiful Serenity Collection from FabScraps.
Here is the first card.

I upcycled an old scarf to provide some softness for this card.

Supplies List:
Patterned Paper: FabScraps C77 002 Cherished 2; FabScraps Harmony 2 C77 004
Journal Pack: MC77 001A
Blooms: 4 – 1 small, 2 medium sized and 1 large
Die-cut leaves
Cardstock: soft teal and 2 greens
White Pearl
White Lace
3D Adhesive Foam
Greeting Stamp & writing stamp
Pigment Ink – Versa Magic Sahara Sand & Brilliance Pearlescent Ivy
White Gel Pen
Instructions:
  1. Cut a piece of soft teal cardstock 30cm x 16cm and fold in half.  Use Sahara Sand to ink all the edges.
  2. Use Sahara Sand pigment ink and the writing stamp to stamp from the top right towards the middle and from the bottom left towards the middle.  Don’t use an acrylic block, but just press down with your fingers to stamp.
  3. Tear a 9cm x 16 cm from the stripey Harmony 2 patterned paper and ink the edges with Sahara Sand. The 9cm edges are straight and the 16cm edges are torn.
  4. Stick down this piece in the middle of the card, not gluing the torn edges completely to the edge, so that you can tuck some lace underneath, as well as turn up these torn edges.
  5. Fussy cut 3 envelopes from the journal pack elements, as well as some stamped circles and the butterfly circle and a small butterfly. Ink all the edges and arrange as per the photo.  The 3 envelopes are raised with 3D foam.
  6. I recycled an old scarf for my lacey elements, but any petty lace will do and must be tucked under the torn edges of the stripey paper and glued in place.
  7. Stamp the sentiment with Brilliance Pearlescent Ivy on the writing side of the Harmony 2 patterned paper.  I used a fairly white-ish part, so that my stamping would be clearly visible. Cut out the stamped sentiment and ink the edges with Sahara Sand.
  8. Use 3D foam to adhere the sentiment across the 3 envelopes.
  9. Place your blooms, on the right hand-side above the sentiment, layering them up. Also add the die-cut leaves, which have been highlighted with a white gel pen.
  10. Add some more lacey bits inbetween this cluster, for softness.
I also made a tag from this beautiful collection.

I had received this crocheted doiley in a prize pack and loved that it was the perfect fir for this tag.

Supplies List:
Patterned Paper: FabScraps C77 006 Peaceful 2, FabScraps C77 002 Cherished 2
Stencils:  FabScraps DS35 005 Jungle Twine
Journal Pack: MC77 001A
Blooms: 2 medium sized blooms, 1 green and 1 orange
Cardstock: white
Die-Cuts:  3 Ornate circular die-cuts, 1 very small (approx. 2cm diameter), small (approx. 6.5cm diameter) and 1 medium (approx. 10cm diameter)
Brown Pearls and a brown brad
White and cream lace
3D Adhesive Foam
Crocheted doiley – approximately 7.5cm diameter
Greeting Stamp
Distress Ink – Tea-dye
Pigment Ink – Jumbo Java
Instructions:
  1. Cut a piece of white cardstock 11,5cm x 18cm and distress the edges and ink with tea-dye distress ink.
  2. Cut a rectangle 10.5cm x 16,5cm of Peaceful 2 patterned paper and distress and ink the edges, with tea-dye ink.
  3. Stick down this Peaceful 2 rectangle onto the cardstock.
  4. Place the Twine stencil over the entire tag and again, using tea-dye distress ink, ink over the entire patterned paper, ensuring a fairly even coverage of ink.
  5. Cut an ornate circular die-cut, approx. 10cm in diameter, from the Peaceful 2 paper, using the dragonfly side. Cut another smaller circle die-cut from the Cherished 2 paper.
  6. Ink the edges of these circles with tea-dye and then stick them down, the bigger one top left, just so that the left hand side of the circle just overlaps the left hand side of the tag.  The smaller one, bottom right and slightly tucked under the larger one. The very small one, raise with 3D foam and tuck under the medium doiley, top left of the tag.
  7. Cut out the “Just for You” circle from the journal pack goodies and adhere, using the 3D foam to the centre of the larger doiley. Also add the crocheted doiley and secure with glue.
  8. Add the white lace, under the medium sized doiley and the cream lace for the tag holder, using the brown brad.
  9. Add brown pearls and layer blooms, as per the photo.
  10. Lastly stamp a “greeting” in the top right hand corner using Jumbo Java Pigment ink.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope you have a super, scrappy day!

I so love these soft colours!

Apologies....work is getting in the way of play at the moment...so I am a little behind on blog visiting...but I will make it up shortly! ;-)

Hope you have a super evening!

Botanical Tea Tag - Graphic 45

Hello Everyone

I am bursting to share that I got my new BoBunny DT box yesterday and it is just so amazing and absolutely packed with beautiful and gorgeous goodies! So I was playing last night and quickly had to get a project finished. Being in South Africa...I am normally the last one to receive a DT box.
But I am certainly not complaining and I am absolutely thrilled! ;-) I will share some new BoBunny goodness very shortly! ;-)

For now, I have a new tag to add to my Botanical Tea tag booklet.

And another shot.

I am having so much fun with these tags...there is not one that I don't absolutely love! ;-)

Well I hope you are finding some scrappy time!
Thanks so much for the visit!
Have a super evening!

Tag - Graphic 45

Hello Everyone

I am loving making tags and cards at the moment....can you tell? LOL.  It certainly is a lot less time intensive, so this makes for fun creating but also allows me time to get some family time and home time in.

I made another Graphic 45 Botanical Tea Tag and I really can't tell you how much I love this collection.  I think I am going to make a tag booklet! ;-) 2 down!

A close-up.

Quickly, let me also show you another photo of my new, sweet Sally.
In Afrikaans there is a saying, Maagie vol, ogies toe.... (tummy full, eyes closed)
She is soooo precious! ;-)

Thanks for stopping by!
I so appreciate all your visits and love! ;-)

Hello Friend - Graphic 45 Tag

Hello Everyone

As I mentioned in my previous post, we got a little, new addition to the family.  She is a little Shar-pei. So here's a first look at her.  These were taken the first day we got her.  She is only 3 and a half weeks old.

She is really so sweet.  As to her name...not quite decided..I can't believe that we haven't decided on a definite one yet! But I am sure we will very soon! ;-)

I created a Graphic 45 tag, after playing with some Botanical Tea in my last project.  This really is such a pretty and feminine collection.

So here it is.

A little look from the side.

I so love this collection!

Anyways, hope you had a super Sunday and weekend!
Thanks for popping by!

General Tag - FabScraps Tranquility Collection

Hello Everyone

Wow...a busy weekend...friends, family, scrapping...all rolled into one! ;-) But all good...so I am certainly not complaining! ;-) I hope you had a super weekend too.

I quickly wanted to share another tag that I made using the FabScraps Tranquility Collection.  This time it was a general tag.

This collection is really pretty and there are some amazing little flowers and leaves that can be fussy cut.  Here I used some of those flowers and coloured them pink.

I have a tutorial up on the FabScraps blog, with a step by step, on how to create this tag. So if you want to pop along and have a look, then that would be super! ;-)

Thanks ever so much for taking the time to pop by and say hello....I know time is of the essence for all of us and the social media is sometimes, just all too much! ;-)

Have a super evening!

Hope Tag

Hello Everyone

Apologies for having been missing for a week! I actually cannot believe that more than a week passed, since my last post! Yikes! Where has the time gone?

Life has just been hectic at work and also at home and I needed to concentrate on them and also spend quite a bit of time behind the PC for admin reasons. I was also creating behind the scenes and so very soon will have lots to share with you! ;-)

But today I just quickly used up some of my Prima bits and created this tag.

I really am on a mission again, to use up bits and bobs! ;-)

I used Forever Green and bits and bobs from various other collections. I really can't waste and just throw away these off cuts, so what better than to create cards and tags! They are perfect for bits and bobs! ;-)

Anyways...hope you have a good evening!
Be back soon!

Pencil Challenge no.49 - Scrap Africa

Hello Everyone

We have a really super challenge at Scrap Africa and one can really go to town with it...
Here's some super ideas from an old Scrap365 magazine....

Me loving the watercolours...I went with using watercolour pencils or aquarelle pencils.

I made a tag.

I used pencils on the background as well as colouring the flowers.  I then softened it all up by white spritzing.  I might have been a touch heavy handed! LOL

I used Botanical Garden papers from BoBunny. The flowers were stamped and coloured and then fussy cut.

Thanks so much for popping in!
I hope you have a creative weekend!

Cherish Tag - Prima PPP

Hi Everyone

I soooo loved the Prima PPP board this month...that I just had to play along!

PPPMARCH2015
These are definitely some of my favourite colours.

So I created a tag....

I used a whole lot of Prima bits and pieces, including some packaging.

I have actually used a little envelope, from the All About Me Collection...with a little card inside...so I can now easily write a little message on the card, but is tucked away for privacy.

I so love green....it's my favourite colour...so the different greens on this board were the inspiration!!

Hope you're having a good day!
Cheers

Tag - Mood Board Challenge no.47 - Scrap Africa

Hello Everyone

We have a super new challenge over at Scrap Africa! ;-) I looooove the mood board and it really is a beaut...even if I say so myself! ;-)

So I decided to go along with a tag....you know how much I love tags ;-).....and here is my take!

I had a horrific February month and it is a month I would not like to repeat ever! So this tag was especially for me...to remind myself that Lemonade.....or Gin and Tonic....is the way to go, when Life Gives you Lemons!!!!! ;-)

I used the bright and sunny collection Lemonade Stand from BoBunny and even used the packaging! Waste not Want Not!!! ;-)

Maybe you can play along? We would love to see your take.

Have a super Sunday!
