This is the start of an inspiration patch, where I hope that fellow scrappers and creators will come and find some inspiration, or even leave some inspiration for me.

Art Journal Pages - Penelope Dee - Paradise Collection

Hello Everyone

I have been using my altered Enid Blyton reading book, to create some of my art journal pages.
Today I am sharing some of those.

I created this page, using the Penelope Dee Paradise Collection. I really love how this one turned out.

I had so much fun with this page and it was a real stress reliever! ;-)

I fussy cut lots of bits and pieces and used die-cut pieces too,

I used wool, little pebbles and all the little bits and pieces for different textures and also adding dimension.

I love the sentiment too...it's so true..

Paradise is always where Love dwells.

Thanks ever so much for stopping by!
Have a super day in Paradise.

Just my Type - Art Journal Page - BoBunny Stamps

Hello Everyone

I hope that 2019 is treating you well and that January has been a good month! ;-)
I have been super, super busy with a project at work and so it has meant that I have been creating but have not had much time to share anything!!
Apologies for also not getting round to anyone's blogs!

I received a parcel from BoBunny and could not help but fall in love with their new stamps!!
Oh my word...they are the cutest and the most gorgeous stamps ever! ;-)

I created an art journal page with Just My Type and other BoBunny stencils and stamps.

I was delighted with this little page and just adore these stamps! ;-)

I also used the Vicki Boutin Colour wheel from American Crafts...these bright colours just make this page pop! ;-)

I have a thing for typewriters and have an old one too that I am yet to use, since I bought it, for some scrappy messages and art journalling! Crazy right!!!!

Anyways, time, time time.....

I will pop round some blogs soon...and thank you for your patience with me!
I appreciate it!

Have a super, gorgeous day!

Art Journal Page -

Hello Everyone

I recently bought 2 stamps from our local stationery shop, because they were on special and marked down to half price.
So I couldn't resist and bought 2 of these super stamps from Santoro.

I used the first one to create an art journal page in my re-purposed Enid Blyton reading book.

I prepared the page with a layer of gesso, but just a light one because I still wanted the reading words to show through.

I then stamped the image and coloured it with Distress Markers and then added some pearlescent and some wording from Penelope Dee papers.

Here are some close-ups below.

I really love how this page turned out and even though it is simple, it is one of my favourites, for sure!

I hope you have a super Monday and a super week.
Cheers for now..

Art Journal Page - Penelope Dee Wanderlust Collection

Hello Everyone

Apologies for being missing in action! ;-)
Life is just busy and I am crafting in the background but I don't always find time to sit infront of the pc and blog.

It is Friday and I really look forward to some more crafty time and hopefully can get to some of that blogging and project sharing too! ;-)

I did this art journal page a while back with the Penelope Dee Wanderlust collection.
I just loved these fabulous balloons.

There is a lot of texture on this page as I used a mapped background, which didn't lie as flat as I wanted it to and created texture! LOL...

I added another world map over this background, which was fussy cut from the patterned paper.

I also added stamping and then the gorgeous balloons and the sentiment.

I used distress oxides and acrylic paint to colour the balloons.

I really enjoyed this page, even the unplanned texture...
That's the nature of an art journal page...its ever evolving! ;-)

I hope you get some time to play this weekend...
Have a super one

Art Journal - Remember 2 Have Fun

Hello Everyone

I seem to be a little bad with posting lately! Life is just a little hectic and I find that I would rather be crafting than sitting behind a pc writing up posts!

Anyways, I am sharing an art journal with you today.

I used up so many goodies from my stash.  It was really cleansing and de-clutter-fying! ;-)

The pages are a little busier than I would like, but I was still happy with the end result.

I love the vintage, retro feel that the October Afternoon bits and pieces added to these pages.

I love the sentiment too and is very much one that I am trying to stick to this year... Remember to Have Fun! ;-)

I certainly did have fun with these pages and it was so good for my soul! ;-)

I hope you had a super Monday! ;-)
Thanks for popping in!

Art Journal Page - A Bird does not sing because he has an answer, he sings because he has a song

Hello Everyone

Welcome to Saturday and the weekend and welcome back to my blog! ;-)

Today I have an art journal page to share, that I created a while back and just love the vibrant colours of.

I used some Basic Grey goodies that I have had in my stash for years, along with acrylic paints, distress paints and inks.

The sentiment was also a rub-on that I have had for years and was so pleased that it still worked a charm.

I also used some Tim Holtz stamps, which are some of my favourite.

The colour combo surprised even myself and I was so happy with the way it turned out.

If you haven't tried art journalling, it really does give you the freedom to really play and experiment.

Well I hope you get some time to create and play over the weekend.
I hope to find some time too!

Have a great one!

Art Journal Page - The more you praise and celebrate life, the more there is in life to celebrate!

Hello Everyone

Today I have an art journal page or pages...should I say, to share with you.

I had some time this past weekend and I happened to start watching Marta's 30 Products Journal Collage using Mixed Media Techniques and I actually loved the look of the page and so decided to craft along. It wasn't over one sitting, but was probably over two days...and this is what I created!
Thanks so much Marta for the lovely inspiration!

Here is what I created.

I loved the result and I loved the sentiment too! ;-)

It was soooo good to use up some scrap stash and even some BoBunny packaging! ;-)

I used acrylic paints, distress inks and all purpose inks.  It really was so much fun.

Here are a few close-ups.

Thanks ever so much for stopping by!
Have a fabulous Friday!
Have a great weekend too!

Here is a close-up of the sentiment too.

Have you tried some art journalling? It really is very liberating! ;-)

Christmas Art Journal Page

Hello Everyone

I am back today with a Merry art journal page.
This time I took some inspiration from Vicky Papaioannou.

Here is the page I created.

I did a lot of stamping on this page and so loved playing with creating all the little bits and pieces that make it up.

I love this Father Christmas he is rather quite the character! ;-)

I stamped and coloured these ornaments.  I used distress inks and acrylic paints to do the colouring.

I love this holly trailing down too....this is definitely one of my new favourite die! ;-)
I have had it for ages, but really do love it now! ;-)
It's good to fall in love with your old goodies! ;-)

Anyways, Christmas is just around the corner. So this was definitely a start to the Christmasy feeling! ;-)

Thanks for stopping by!
I hope you have a fabulous day!

Be Yourself - Art Journal page

Hello Everyone

I hope that you are having a good week! ;-)
I am so looking forward to the coming weekend and getting some scrappy time in! ;-)

Last week I did this art journal page and it was really one that really took me on a journey.
I was not sure how it was going to turn out.
I think it turned out okay.

I used my distress oxides and stamps, along with rub-ons from Basic Grey that I have had for years and years. I created the daises with Gel Medium and a stencil and then added colour to them and white gel pen highlights.

The rub-on set had this sentiment too and I thought it would be perfect.

I also added the little elephant character below! Elephants are one of my favourite animals.

This page really did take me on an art journey and I love that it pushed me to try different things and also pushed my styling! ;-)

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope you have a fabulous Thursday!

Art Journal Page - Mixed Media Basic Grey

Hello Everyone

Today I have an art journal page to share with you.
It is lots of mixed media.
I had actually created it quite a few weeks ago, but I was not happy with the result and so I left it sitting and went back to it a month later.

I had some Basic Grey papers and thought the flowers would be perfect.
So I fussy cut them and used them and they were the perfect addition.
I was now happy with the result.

I had also recently bought an old typewriter and so used it to type out the wording.

These pages really do have many layers of pastes, paints, inks and bits! LOL

Here is another look. These flowers certainly were what this page needed.
That's the journey with any art journal page....one has to see where it leads you! ;-)

Anyways, thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!
I really appreciate the visit.
Have a super day!

Art Journal Page - BoBunny Enchanted Garden and Distress Oxides

Hello Everyone

I have an art journal page to share, that I absolutely love.
I really took time with this page and also enjoyed the process so much.

Here it is.

I used Distress Oxides and a stencil to create the background, along with normal distress ink stamping.
Then I added some stickers, rub-ons and fussy cut lots of pieces for this page.

I have so many rub-ons from over the years and I have found that art journaling is such a good way to use them up! ;-)
It feels really great to de-stash too.

Here's a closer look.

I really loved this quote and it was the perfect match for this whimsical page.
Walk Barefoot
Listen to the Wind
Drink in the Moon
Be Magic!

I think we also have to believe that Magic is possible...

Anyways, thanks for stopping by my blog today!
I really appreciate the visit.
Have a fabulous, magical day!

Art Journal Page - Graphic 45 Ladies Diary

Hello Everyone

I am so loving playing in my art journal!!!! ;-)
I bought some matte gel medium a few weeks ago and it's just so fabulous!
I can hardly put it down! ;-)

I created this art journal page, using some Graphic 45 goodies.

I basically took old book pages and used them for my background.
Then I fussy cut the different pieces and florals, which I then stuck down with gel medium.
I then added the modelling paste wall with a stencil and coloured it with various inks etc.

I really love how it turned out.

It was so good to be using up some of these Graphic 45 bits and pieces.

The sentiment:
Smile and Be Happy
Life is what you make it

So true! ;-)

Okay sweet people...
Hope you have a fabulous day!
Be back soon!

Art Journal Page - Distress Oxide Inks

Hello Everyone

I have another art journal page to share with you today.

I managed to get my hands on 2 Distress Oxides, which I have fallen in love with.
I only managed to get a Walnut and Vintage Photo. Sadly they were both browns, but I know that I will be getting more verrrrry soon!
They are fabulous! ;-)

So here's the result.

I used Tim Holtz stamps and stencils, along with a BoBunny stamp.
The colours and effects just blended so beautifully.

Here's a closer look.

I am not sure if you can clearly see the subtleties on the background.

This was the sentiment of this page:

Listen to the wind in your soul
Let it take you where your heart wants to go.

My white gel pen and white ink really came in handy on this page.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I really appreciate the visit.
Have a super day!

I was inspired by Vicky  Papaioannou and Dyan Reaveley.

Wherever life plants you, bloom with Grace! ;-)

Here are some close-ups.

I love how this page turned out and the vibrant colours.
The sentiment is awesome too! ;-)
