Bedtime Maggie

The theme at High Hopes Stamps this week is Pink and Brown. I love anything with brown but this combination is fab! So I used this colour scheme and the pretty sketch at Our Creative Corner. I embossed the background papers and the border and coloured Bedtime Maggie with water colour pencils. This lovely little embellishment is from Linda. Thank you, Linda! The ribbon is from Paper Mania and I couldn't resist using the square nestie . I'm slightly addicted to this one! I also entered her into the Cuttlebug Spot as the theme was stamped images.

Stamping and Bling

This lovely little Nellie stamp came from Shelly. Thank you! It is such a gorgeous image.

I really enjoyed colouring her in. I've used watercolour pencils to give a softer effect. The sketch is based on this week's Stamp Something Challenge and the theme Animals and Insects from Just Magnolia so I guess the second card would qualify too!

This card is for CCT where the theme is Bit O' Bling! This was perfect as I wanted to add some 'bling' to this stamped image to lift it a bit. It's an anniversary card for a friend and she loves sparkles!

Scraps and Flowers

I combined the lovely theme from Creative Card Crew of 'Pretty Flowers' with the Papertake Weekly Challenge which is 'Scrap this.' I made the flowers from scrap paper and added some sparklies! The pretty paper background is from making memories and I used my whispers pens to colour bella.

I christened both my new present bella stamp and my nesties! Hurrah..... I finally have some new nesties. I've been eyeing them for ages and finally found some in the States. There don't seem to be places to get them in Europe, unless anyone knows something I don't. Do let me know if there are online companies in the UK or the rest of Europe. I know I'm a bit behind!

Handbags

I made this card using the Sketch and Stash Challenge sketch which is a really pretty layout and combined it with the colour theme from Colour Create of Lemon, Pink Sorbet and Chocolate....Yum! It is also one of my favourtie stamps so I entered Creative Inspirations Challenge which is to use your favourite stamps.

I inked the edges of the papers to lift the layers and add texture.

3 in 2!

I loved this Lilli of the Valley sketch so much that I decided to make 2 with the same background! I made the second card for High Hopes Stamps where the theme is the yummy pink and brown and used the sketch for Stamp Something . I love the colour combo for this one!

The butterfly image was stamped onto handmade paper which I think gives it a better effect.

This was the second card which is slightly different. I used a lovely clear G Designs flower stamp given to me by Linda. Thank you!

Best Wishes

This card is combination of the two similar sketches from 2 Sketches 4 You and Mojo Monday
and the theme from Our Creative Corner, which is Sentiments. I've used a combination of paper and Paper Mania ribbons. This Whispers Words stamp was used with rich cocoa ink and I added the embellishments to give it some sparkle! I love the sentiments on this stamp.
Happy weekend all, Fiona x

The Sound of Music

The challenge for DCM is to make a 'Musically Inspired' card and for High Hopes it is 'Can you doodle?' So I came up this this little creation....

Celebration

I made this graduation card for A Spoon Full of Sugar's Challenge this week and ABC Challenge where the theme is 'O is for Orderly'

Shabby Vintage

At last! One of my favourite themes over at Stamp With Fun ....
I just love the shabby, vintage look. I combined it with the layout for Sketch and Stash which is a fab layout and High Hopes Stamps which is pink and browns.

Sky Blue, Tan and Ecru

I've made this card for Stamp Something and Colour Create Challenge. This gorgeous sketch is from Stamp Something and the theme at CCC is Sky Blue, Tan and Ecru. I love blues and browns so I couldn't resist this one. I used a cuttlebug to cut and emboss and then finished the card with chalks and gems and ribbon.

Regal Rose, Certainly Celery and Bashful Blue

The Challenge at Our Creative Corner this weekend is Regal Rose, Certainly Celery and Bashful Blue along with a neutral colour. I combined this with Dawnys sketch at Papertake Weekly.

I used another one of my new Bella stamps for this challenge. I just love skiing so this fun bella boarder is great! Unfortunately I couldn't ski this year as I'm 8 months pregnant (well worth the sacrifice though!) so this is a reminder of ski seasons past and more to come hopefully.

Friday Sketchers

Bella Bonanza.....

My wonderful hubby bought me some bella stamps...YAY! I was so excited to use them. This one is just so cute. I couldn't wait to get started. I've used the outline for Sketch Saturday's Challenge and the theme from Papertake Weekly which is Animals and CCT which is Sporting Chance (my goodness!) and the sentiment for Stamp Something which is Clean and Simple Thank yous.

I've used some making memories papers and punched out the flowers and added some beads to them. I went for a turquoise and and red theme and stamped the sentiment using my trusty ink it up red. The image was coloured with whispers markers. I think she looks happy and full of the joys of summer :)

Friday Sketchers and Lili of the Valley

In the process of packing up my craft things a little I just couldn't resist making one more card. It's so addictive! I've used my presents stamp to emboss the image and layered the backgrounds with hullabaloo papers from making memories. I just love the brightness. I didn't want to over-do the card with flowers as the spots and stripes are quite strong so I finished it with a plain ribbon from paper mania.
I used the design from Friday Sketchers and incorporated the pink, green and blue theme from Lili of the Valley. I love the colour combo.

Flowers and Nature

I designed this from the sketch for stampavie and more and Sketch Saturday  and used pinks for the Pink Birthday Challenge on Stamp Something I used memento inks in rhubarb stalk and rich cocoa from memento and one of my favourite crafty individuals stamps I layered the card with soft papers from laura ashley, polar bear papers and dream street press. The flowers and gems were from a craft shop and the happy birthday was stamped from my word collection stamps. I can't remember which one.
I like the soft result and pastel colours. I actually moved the wording to the inside of the card later on as I felt it looked better without the wording.
Happy Friday all and have a great weekend, Fiona :)

Sugar Bowl

On the Sugar Bowl blog the challenge this week is this beautiful sketch using buttons. Luckily I had a lovely stash of buttons from a local craft shop and I found this gorgeous lilac button with a slightly crumpled effect. I used colour pencils rather than my whispers pens to get a softer effect on the Sugar Nellie bunny. I just love rabbits so I really enjoyed making the card. The papers are a mix of recycled brown wrapping, laura ashley and terri conrad designs. The flower was from a mixed stash and I used my favourite rich cocoa memento ink to darken the borders of each sheet of paper. I really like the strips of paper on the sketch.

Embossing fun!

I created this card using the layout for Friday Sketchers and for Creative Card Crew where the theme this week is Embossing. So I combined the two and used my cuttlebug to make the pink leaf paper background to complement the leaf patterns on the Making Memories paper used for the foreground mount. The image is stamped and embossed with a heat gun using purple metalic powder and finished with a few gems.

More stamping.....

I've been experimenting with my new Whispers pens and made this top card for the Stamp with Fun challenge and added a bit of sparkle to enter it for CCT and used the swiss dots folder for The Cuttlebug spot. I really like both images. I also used my stampin' up roller for the background and the cuttlebug for the swiss dots sheet. So I've been putting my Christmas presents to good use. It's taken a while but I like the effects.
