Christmas 2010

On Christmas Eve Day we went to Grandma Maddy's for lunch and visiting. Last year we went sledding. This year that WAS the plan however it hadn't snowed. Most of my siblings and their kids were there as well. CJ & Izzy love going to Grandma Maddy's and playing with their cousins. This year she made all of us aprons. So cute! Izzy wears her's all the time.

The kids cousin Kayden made them each a present.
Izzy got a bracelet, it had both her's & Kayden's initials on it. CJ got a choker, for the rendezvous.

This was the best pictures I had of them all. And I took around 6 pictures.

The boys. :)

After Grandma Maddy's we came home and later that evening Brent and Rachel came over for dinner and to hang out.
My pretty table all set & ready for dinner.

Ignore the goofy looks and poses but these are the best pictures I have of them in their Christmas pj's.

My children woke up at all hours of the night/morning. First, CJ woke up around 4am...came in our room so excited that Santa brought him a new bike!! When I realized what time it was I told him to go back to bed. About 2 hours later Izzy woke up and came in our room...however she didn't realize what Santa brought and was still out of it...Clark & I both got up and went into the living room, I went to make sure she went back to bed...which I think is where she was headed, and again, hadn't noticed the presents Santa left, that is until Clark said something to her...bad idea! I don't recall how we got her back to bed but we did....for maybe another hour or so. I had a hard time going back to sleep as did Clark and at this point the kids were awake...we figured why not...might as well get up. They both loved their Santa gifts. CJ got a brand new bike & Izzy got a new dollhouse with a new Barbie and some furniture.

It was such a great day. We also got a new XBox 360 Kinect (thanks to Clark). CJ was MORE than ecstatic to discover that gift under the tree. Although it wasn't really under the tree...the box was under the tree and wrapped but inside was brand new underwear! He was a bit disappointed, until I brought out the real thing! Then he was totally freaking out!! Papa Kurt came to visit for a while and then later that evening we went to the Stockton's to visit.  It was a GREAT Christmas! I love spending time with my family!

Flegal Family Christmas Party 2010

Every year for Christmas the Flegal Family has a party. We do it in the morning & have a yummy breakfast and of course Santa comes.

Giving Santa hugs as he got there.

Making sure he is the real deal.

Both kids got their pictures taken with Santa.

We played a few games this year & it was pretty fun. One of the games was quite interesting. You put a cookie on your forehead & you try to get it into your mouth using no hands...only the muscles in your face...it makes for quite the entertainment.....so ignore the funky look on my face. :)

CJ also tried it out.

Coca Cola Kids Christmas Party 2010

This year the kids Coca Cola Christmas party was at the Incredible Pizza.
There was a breakfast buffet and lots of games. They had a game card for each kid & in addition to that there were 5 attractions they could ride: Bumper Cars, Laser Tag, Go Cart, Mini Golf & Mini Bowling. Izzy was too small for all of them except Mini Golf. CJ used most of the his & part of Izzy's attractions on bumper cars & laser tag while Izzy played games & rode on a few rides. Instead of tickets the points get added up on their cards. After they were all done & got prizes we had some lunch & ice cream & then played mini golf. They had a blast.
Here are some pictures of their fun time:

Crafty Wood Cutouts

If you have not yet checked out this store in Orem you should!! It is called Crafty Wood Cutouts. To check it out just click on the name of the store & it will take you directly to their site. You can also check them out on Facebook by clicking here
. They have lots of unfinished wood crafts for each Holiday and of course things in General. You choose the unfinished wood craft, pick out the craft supplies you need to complete your project & then put it all together.
Here are a few I have done myself:

They have ladders you can buy & either stain or paint.
Each month they have a ladder kit.
This is the December kit.

This frame also has a monthly kit...November & December are shown.

Go check out their site and find a fun project to do. They also have craft nights at the store so you and your friends can go have a fun night out making your crafts.
Enjoy!!

Gingerbread Houses

The last few years I have made gingerbread houses with my friend Rachel. However this year I bought the Gingerbread House Village, it had 5 little houses to make. So Clark & I one evening along with the kids each picked out a house to decorate. We enjoyed some yummy eggnog in our new cute Christmas cups while decorating. The kids had a blast...and of course enjoyed eating some of the candy.

Enjoy the pictures!
(Don't mind CJ's face..he had gotten dental work done a day or so before.)

Gingerbread Festival 2010

This year the Gingerbread Festival was held at the Scout Office. We decided to take the kids after karate and go check it out. There were some seriously amazing gingerbread houses! Wow some people are very creative & talented!! The kids also got to the see the Mr & Mrs Claus (although I think they should have gotten someone older...since WHEN was Santa THAT young?) They had an "Indoor Snowball Fight" that CJ participated in, Izzy preferred to watch the Trains. Once CJ was done he joined Izzy.

I'm back...I think :)

It's been 6months since I last posted and my last post was about November...from a year ago! I guess I am a bit behind. I just haven't been into blogging lately. However I am hoping that will change. Eventually I need to upload my blog & create a book from it. I think that might be much easier than scrapbooking. Which I haven't really touched my scrapbook stuff in months...possibly longer.

Things here are good. Kids are a handful as always, Clark is working hard as always,  and me, well, I am just here, as always. Pretty much the same old thing, as always. :) Oh wait, for those who don't know we have a new addition to our family, her name is Niki. She is about 10 years old & quite the furball! She is an Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix. She was my Dad's dog, and now she is ours.

This is when we first got her & she had just gotten a haircut.
She has much more hair now...in fact she is overdue for another cut. She is a very sweet & mellow dog & the kids just love her.
However I would have to say that Clark is her favorite. :)

Halloween 2010

Be prepared for a looooong post!! This includes ALL of our Halloween adventures.

Our ward had a "Trunk-or-Treat" for Halloween on the 27th..but because ya never know what the weather is going to be like they did it inside & had people sign up to decorate a door to a classroom or a classroom itself and the kids went around to all the rooms to trick or treat.

Izzy was Dorothy.
CJ a Glow-in-the-Dark Skeleton
(had to leave the mask at home)
 Izzy & Clark...he just wore a fro

Ready to get some CANDY!!

I was Medusa

A friend that I grew up with did my hair & makeup. She did a bunch of small braids and braided pipe cleaners into them. Attached a red felt tongue that we cut out & googly eyes to make snakes. I think it turned out quite cute!
