I Picked Unspoken

I want to work on Unspoken at least once a month, so I have updates for the SAL 'A New Stitchy Start'.  So when the 15th rolled around, I picked him up that evening.

Here's where I was:

Almost done with the second column of stitches.  That's my progress since January the First.

So, I polished that second column off:

Then - brace yourselves - I did the third column!

Then - last night, I polished off the fourth column O_O

Then I had to go to bed.  I think I was twitching a little.  That's a half page finished, there.  From me.  Who only managed a column and a half and a little across the top in five months.  I don't know what has possessed my needle to speed me up this much.

Hope it lasts.

Part of it was only working with four colors, but I don't care.  Bwah ha ha ha ha!

Anyway, this weekend is IHSW and I think I know what I'm going to stitch.  It won't be Lovers, not yet.  I can't take two HAEDs in a row!

A Whole Lot of HAEDs

I'm feeling a bit stunned right now - probably at the idea of, if these ever are stitched, which my brain is shouting yes! and omg, r u nutz? at the same time, then it will be at least forty years.  Minimum.

But I bought three HAED patterns during the sale:

I got a small bit of one feather done. This one is going on my rotation with Fred as soon as all my Crazy January starts are done.

Also, Witch Stitch & Bits is having a sale! 20% off their already really low prices :D It's only for another day or so, though. I went ahead and got three more off my wishlist, and the total for all three was less than $6. The charts I've already gotten look pretty good, so I think these will turn out well.

More Goodies

I got two gift cards for Christmas - one is reserved for a trip to JoAnns for floss.
The other I was specifically told to get patterns :D
I'm very obedient - yes, I am!
So I got those HAEDs in the last post, and I've spent the last on these:

Julie posted about this site, and I decided to try them out and see how good their patterns are, because they are beautifully cheap! They're all shown in virtual stitches so as long as the color blends turn out, most of them should be very nice. Some are a little too patchy and pixellated for me, but I liked these (and put about eight more on a wishlist)

Then patternsonline.com was having a sale, so I got the last four of the EMS Animal Babies that I wanted needed. Now I have the whole collection of the animals, but I still need two of the Snowbabies. I got most of them when they used to be free; I've had to buy very few.
I got Snail Baby, Moose Baby, Parrot Baby, and Catepillar Baby.



I'm in a very happy-stash place right now! I need to get some fabric, but I'm hoping for a little Christmas bonus from work for that. JoAnn's doesn't have very much of the smaller counts, which is what I want, but I will be getting a lot of floss on my trip!

I also made a small payment on the HAED layaway I had... now my gift card is allllll gone.
