MMisfit

No big surprise -- our last Mystery Guest was, of course, Marilyn Monroe on the set of The Misfits (1961).

Was ever a film more aptly named? Besides the doomed MM, it co-starred Clark Gable in his final film before his death, and the tortured Monty Clift, who (mercifully) left this earth a few years later. The screenplay was written by Marilyn's husband, Arthur Miller, originally as a present for his wife; their divorce was finalized that same year, and Miller soon re-married -- to a photographer he met on the set.
