The 4th of July is synonymous with family, friends, food, and fun; however, nature has a way of stepping in and changing some of our plans. Just as the lawn furniture and cushions were being placed in strategic, shady spots in the yard...just as our 4th of July Olympic games were being prepared, we heard the rumble of thunder. It has been weeks since we have heard the sound of thunder! The rain was welcome, but did put a damper on the outdoor events. As I heard the rumbling, I was reminded that in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, Paul wrote, "In everything give thanks for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
