Are you a fan of Winnie the Pooh?

I am!  So when I wanted a cloud quote, I added 'A A Milne' to my google search.  The cloud quote was fine, but this one, with Pooh speaking to Rabbit, really made me smile.

There are more details and a link to the 'cloud' story over on my blog.  Now I think I'm going to find my Winnie the Pooh books ....

Five minute card

This past week has been a whirlwind and I've had precious little time in my studio.

Here is a fast and simple card that was stamped, colored, layered, and stitched in about five minutes.
I used Maria Sabina Raita's enjoy today quote and the sweet little bird is trimmed from Roc Nicholas's just be u image.
Sometimes when we don't have time, a little something something is all we need for that quick creative fix.

keeping calm with Sarah

"Keep calm, smile and create beautiful things!"

It's been a very busy week so this tag is very much a message to myself!  I find smooching paint and ink around, colouring in and 'cutting and sticking' very relaxing but sometimes I really have to fight to find the time to do it.

But it's definitely worth it!  I feel better through the actual 'making', and can keep on enjoying my 'beautiful things' indefinitely :)

Be The Star - Claudine's Wednesday Post

Happy Wednesday everyone and thanks for coming by. Claudine here with your Wednesday Designer's Post.
This week over at the Designer's Challenge Blog there is a fun challenge by the wonderful Sam
She is challenging us to use some "Stars" in our projects

For my project this week I used the following Stampotique Stamp:

Zara Gift - Maria Sabina Raita

I made this card for a friend that is having a birthday this month and I just love how the Stampotique stamp just pops off the card here. For my stars I simply used a stencil with some Archival inks and went over a few with a white gel pen, same for the circles in the background

Thanks again for stopping by everyone, have a wonderful week and of course you can find out all the details on creating this card on my blog: Claudine's Art Corner

Reach high, for stars lie hidden in your soul

I LoVe this image of 'Midge'  but was a bit worried that it would be hard to use differently to Dina Wakley whose work I love and who uses it so distinctively.

But I just worry too much!!  Playing around with an image, with your own collection of stamps and inks, means you end up using it in your own style!  After making a few tags recently I decide on an envelope as a base.  It may end up as a page in a newly created journal,

... or on a journal page!  I quite like it with all that white background :)
