unfinished!

Sometimes a journal page just sits there for a while ...

...and sometimes that 'while' can be a lonnnnng one!  This page started off with some brown spray which sat in my journal for ages.  I recently added some blue (love blue and brown together), didn't like it so used my solution to most pages I don't like - white paint/spray through a stencil :)

I love those large circles so complemented them with one of Stampotique's new release images - Daniel's circles.  They're stamped over one of my very favourite Stampotique images - numeric.

So now I have a double page spread I love, but is still unfinished...

...and that's okay!  It's just the way of art journaling flows.

playing in my journal, by Sarah

I hope you've enjoyed the Stampotique blog hop; it's still open for another few days if you've not had chance to join in yet.  I've continued to enjoy playing with the new stamps and this time decided to make a journal page.

One of France's new stamps says

so I decided to use this as a challenge for a page.  I've put some details on my bloghttp://sarahanderson1.blogspot.co.uk/2014/04/a-touch-of-art-journaling.html as to where I feel I was working outside my comfort zone, and would love to hear how you'd move out of yours

I wasn't sure about this page at first but it's growing on me ;)

Recycle for New Year's resolutions with Janet Klein

Day two of the New Year!  How are we all doing with our New Year's resolutions?  Mine is to eat more veggies and to make art with recycled materials.
This recycled journal page uses two Kira Nichols stamps, Artichoke Monster and a bird from Stack of Birds.  Inspiration from an old postcard, a children's book, and a tossed notepad.

I'll be bloggin' on Thursdays, so stop back and see if I'm sticking to my resolutions!

Book of Life page..

There are lots of Stampotique Originals stamps that are just perfect for art journaling. I used the Queen Of Life as my focal point and wondered what might be written on the pages of her book that she is carrying.

Here is my page..

Stamps used: Queen Of Life and Swirl Stalks

The background was created using spray inks and water colour crayons. The words are computer generated.

Thank you for calling and leaving a comment if you get the chance. Have a great weekend. Gez
