Tulipe Wedding Gift Set

The entire gift!

The oven mitt...

And the matching card!

I used the Tulipe die cut with the Big Shot to make this great wedding gift!
It is his and hers matching aprons and kitchen mitts. I thought I would make a set of towels to match too (I actually made 5 towels but I only have two in the photo.)! I used freezer paper and an iron to make stencils and ironed them onto my fabric and then painted on the fabric paint.
And of course the card to match! This used Bravo burgundy textured cardstock and gold cardstock with the white satin ribbon.
You can see more details about this stenciling technique HERE!

Stenciled Shopping Bags

I got some grocery shopping bags through a fundraiser for my daughters school and thought I would dress them up a little bit. I used the small- Kind Thought Brocade stencil with some fabric paint and then highlighted it with some black and silver.
Much better than plain green!

Masked Stencil

I cased this card from Shelli!
Since I only have my one stencil, the small Kind Thought Brocade Stencil, I had to get creative! This is how I made my big stencil small! I used masking tape to cover the areas that I did not want to sponge so I wouldn't accidentally get some in the other holes. I did stick the tape to my pants first so it wouldn't be as sticky. Painting tape would also work really well for this!
I also used the vintage labels stamp set in the middle and the brown satin ribbon.

Brocade Jewelry Box

This jewelry box is the perfect thing to keep all of your Stampin’ Up jewelry in. It would also make a great gift for a little girl to keep hers in!
It can double as a little stationary holder with matching cards and envelopes that easily fit in the bottom drawer. You can even use it to hold your stamping supplies!

Fabric Paint and the Big Shot!

We had another Green Mountain Stamper's meeting this past Saturday under my upline Jennifer Heffernan. We have swaps and demonstrations and some of the ladies bring in samples of their work to share. This is a great group to be a part of! Carrie Wilson demonstrated a great new technique today(She is the one that demonstrated the scallop circle flower.)
The technique uses Freezer paper to make a stencil using punches or the big shot to use on fabric!
This is very easy to do, here is how:
Get some freezer paper at the supermarket. It has to be freezer paper because it only has the wax on one size. Cut it out using the punches or die cuts that you want to use just like you would paper.

Instead of using the cut out piece, you are going to use the outside as a stencil. Put it where you want it to go on your fabric and then iron it down. Make sure that the shiny side is down.

Now using fabric paint and a paint brush, paint it in just like a stencil.

While it is still wet, peel off the stencil and you have your perfect shape!!

I put a bunch more around it to get the final image.
Here is the one using the 2 step bird punch with the scallop circle die cut with the big shot. This is the die cut with the medium and small scallop circles on it.
This is just showing the two sides of the paper. Remember you want the shiny side down when you iron.

Iron it on.

Cutout the scallop with the die cut out of freezer paper.

Iron it around the bird and tree branch.

Paint it in.

The end result!

Kind Thoughts Brocade Stencil

I used the Kind Thoughts Brocade small stencil to make these. I got inspired after seeing a great card on the Ink It Up, Ect. blog.
I used a sponge to put on the ink and then used my brayer to put the black on over. It doesn't fill in as much as the pink because of the thickness of the stencil so it only fills in the center. I thought it gave a nice effect.

Featured Artist Post #3

I am in Christina Crawford's downline and she chose me to be her featured artist for February! I have to create about 25 projects focusing on certain stamp sets. I chose all of mine from the Occasions Mini Catalog and they are; Well Scripted, Fox & Friends and Tote-ally Tess. I used other stamp sets with them but they will be in all of the projects.
Here are two more cards!
If you want to see all the featured artist cards you can CLICK HERE and see the previous ones.

I used the small Kind Thoughts Brocade stencil for these cards. This stencil is beautiful! Here is a picture of it.
