This cute party hat Cocoa image from Sweet N Sassy stamps is currently available as a digital image but will be released in August as a clear stamp set. Cocoa was colored with copics and the top of the hat was accented with a clear spica glitter pen. I sponged around ink the image while it was still in the die.

stamps- Sweet N Sassy stamps Birthday Cocoa
Paper- SU dp, doodlebug dp, green galore, Neenah white
accessories- copics, rhinestones, spica glitter pen, square nesties, sewing machine

We would love to have you play along with this week's sketch with us. For some more inspiration and info on this week's sketch please visit the mojo Monday blog.

My card today features a brand new stamp set that was released by Sweet N Sassy stamps today. It is called Serene Silhouettes and I absolutely LOVE it!!! It has 4 main silhouette images and quite a few birds and butterfly accessory stamps. I accented the scallops with white pearls and the corners with brown pearls.

mojo Monday 145

This is a busier than normal week for my daughters and I. They are going to VBS this week and the 2 youngest have it in the morning and my oldest has it at night so I have been doing quite a bit of driving. This has not left me with much crafting or blogging time. I am just now getting to show you the mojo Monday sketch for the week. As always, Julee gave us a great starting canvas. I did struggle with it a bit at first but once I figured out what I was going to use it fell into place. My sample and the sketch are below.

I stamped the butterfly from Sweet N Sassy stamps Everyday Miracles set 3 times onto Neenah white and colored with copics. I cut 2 of them out and layered them on top of one another curling up the ends to give it extra dimension. I added black pearls to the body and stickles on the wings for sparkle. The card measures 5.5 inches square and truthfully was about 1/2 inch too big in my opinion. When I was putting the card together I was not happy with the open areas so I just *had* to add something. Well, I pretty much cleaned out most of my stash of pearls so that I could outline the edges with them. I like how it came out but would go smaller next time. I could not really change it this time because I had already sewn the edges before I noticed I was not happy with the size.

Supplies:
clear stamps- Sweet N Sassy stamps Everyday Miracles
paper- Neenah white and black from Paper Temptress, amethyst dp from SU
accessories- white crocheted lace, black grosgrain ribbon, white pearls, circle nesties, stardust stickles, black pearls, foam tape, sewing machine
copics- BV0000, BV00, B63

Please stop on by the mojo Monday blog for info on this week's sketch and you certainly would not want to miss what the other mojo makers have to show you.

I am also submitting this card for the following challenges:
Fussy and Fancy Friday- monochromatic with wings
ABC Challenge- Xtra dimension

mojo Monday 144

Hey folks! Well, apparently I forgot to post last week's mojo card sample I made- ugh. Back on track for you this week though. We had a great sketch to work with this week which works well with many types of images. Below are the sketch and my sample:

I tried to do something a bit different this week. I tend to use clean lines on my cards so I thought I would try something out of my comfort zone- distressing. I struggle a bit with it and this time is no exception as maybe I went overboard. I stamped my gorgeous June rose from Sweet N Sassy stamps onto Neenah white and colored it with copics. I used distress inks in antique linen, vintage photo and walnut stain for my distressing. I roughed up the edges with scissors and crumpled the paper as well. I also used a deco silver glitter pen on the distressed edges which is something that Kim Piggott does and I thought looked cool. I think maybe what I will do next time is either do a cracked glass technique or stamp over the colored image with a linen bg stamp. All of the layers were roughed with scissors, then distressed with walnut stain before blinging them up with the glitter pen.

closer look

Supplies:
stamps- Sweet N Sassy stamps June Rose
paper- Neenah white from Paper Temptress, K&Co dp
accessories- deco glitter pen, crochet lace, brown pearls
copics- R0000, R00, R81, R83, R85, R89, G000, YG93, YG95, BG0000, BG000

As always there is some great inspiration for you to see on the mojo Monday blog so you will definitely want to check it out!

I am also submitting my card for the following challenges:
Aly's Sunday challenge- Flower Power
Charizma cardz- bling

Mojo Monday 142- contest week!

Hi there! It is the mojo Monday contest week. The first Monday each month Julee gives away up to 7 Verve sets to the entries judged to be "mojo-est". Below is the sketch for the week and my sample.

I am pretty pleased how this card came out. The butterfly and sentiment are from the newly released Everyday Miracles set from Sweet N Sassy stamps. Isn't it gorgeous! It is available in BOTH digi and clear stamps- pretty neat? I have used the stamp and digi for my card. I colored the butterfly with copics, added stickles for some sparkle and cut it out and raised slightly with foam tape. The paper I used has some great sparkle in it as well and is called blanc sparkle from Paper Temptress. This cardstock is awesome for copics and for digital images. It is available in both text weight which is great for layers and in cardstock 92# which works well for coloring and for the bases. It is one of my favorites and is a must-have in my opionion especially since it is on sale for 25% off in June. There are 6 colors to choose from and my black layers are noir sparkle from the same line. The beautiful roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts in the UK and come in so many colors and sizes. The ones that I used are 10, 15, and 25mm white that I sponged the tips with sky ink and added stickles to. The edges of the patterned paper, image, and sentiment were sponged/distressed with ink before sewed on. I added a tiny black rhinestone between each of the scallops and pearls in the corners. There is a lot going on with this card but I do like it and hope you do too. Now, the flowers would make it difficult to mail so this will be a hand delivered card.

some closer views for you

Supplies:
stamps- Everyday Miracles from Sweet and Sassy stamps
Paper- Making Memories Spearmint patterned paper; blanc sparkle, noir sparkle from Paper Temptress
accessories- wild orchid crafts roses, black rhinestones, pearls, grosgrain ribbon, apron lace punch, stickles, copics, oval nesties

A little birdie told me

Hi there blog friends! It's mojo sketch time- are you ready? Below is my sample and the sketch:

I must admit that I really struggled with this sketch and the card. I colored this image while I was at Korin's last month and was pretty happy with how the image came out. However, I colored it to coordinate with some patterned paper that I had, problem is that I could not figure out which when I was trying to put the card together- frustrating. Korin even asked me if I was gonna remember which paper I used and I said oh yes for sure lol. I feel like it needs something although I just don't know what. I tried various ribbons in different spots, lace, and some more pearls but nothing seemed to work oh well. The image called One of a Kind from Sweet N Sassy stamps is colored with copics and the clouds are sponged in using my scalloped acetate oval as a stencil.

Supplies:
stamps- One of a Kind digi, retired sentiment both from Sweet N Sassy stamps
Paper- SU choc chip, My MInds eye dp, Neenah white and Tangy Orange from Paper Temptress
accessories- brown pearls, copics

Be sure to visit the mojo Monday blog for more details on the sketch and for some more inspiration from the mojo makers.

Challenges that I am entering this card in:
Stamp Something- birthday
Simon Says- birthday
Dare U2 digi challenge- anything goes

Thanks for stopping by today and have a great day!

Hugs and blessings~ Janette

Hi there! Today we have a terrific mojo sketch for you and you have the choice of whether to make a circle or square card. Below you will find my sample and the sketch

Giving my Verve stamps some love today. I created my bg paper by stamping one of the images from the Accent Notes set repeatedly across my square and then sponged the edges with ink too. Rather than sewing today, I thought I would pierce around the square for a change.

Paper- Paper Temptress blanc sparkle, noir sparkle, mountain rose glimmer

Mojo Monday 134

Hey there, mojo Monday comin at you all full force today. This week the sketch is brought to us by Teresa. Below is the sketch and my sample, hope you like it.

It has been awhile since my Verve stamps have gotten any love. Up until now I have not had much craft time so I needed to make sure that I fulfilled my Sweet N Sassy DT commitments. But, I have got some surprises in store for you over the next couple weeks since I have been stamping away at Korin's house. So I stamped the sentiment and sponged around it while still in the die. I distressed all the edges with scissors and love how the white core of the CS shows through. Have not done distressing for quite some time either so this was a nice change for me too. The patterned paper is from My Minds Eye and I purchased it while on a shopping excursion with Korin here in PA.

Supplies:
stamps- Verve Wishing You
CS- ctmh hollyhock, My Minds Eye Home collection dp
accessories- leaf punch, crocheted flower, pearls, satin ribbon

Don't forget to visit the mojo Monday blog for some eye candy from the mojomakers. Hope you can play along with us this week.

mojo Monday 126

Today I am showing you a card that I made for my friend Cassie's birthday next week using this week's mojo sketch. Below is the sketch and my sample.

This cute cocoa image from Sweet N Sassy stamps is called cupcake cocoa. I just love Cocoa!! There are so many to choose from so you just have to check them all out. Anyway, I printed 4 images and colored them with my copics. I added a lot of dimension to this card using the paper tole technique. The first layer that I cut out was Cocoa's head and the cupcake. Layer 2 was Cocoa's face and ears and the last layer was just his face. I adhered each of the layers with pop dots. I also used stickles on the hearts of the cupcake. The great dp is from Papertrey Ink and was a gift from my friend Sue, thanks!!

close ups for you

Supplies:
stamps- Sweet N Sassy stamps Cupcake Cocoa and Sweet Birthday wishes (sentiment)
CS- Paper Temptress Neenah white and basis red, PTI dp
accessories- corner rounder punch, rhinestones, pearls, primas, circle nesties, PTI stitched ribbon, copics, pop dots

Mojo Monday 125- You give me Wings

Hello everyone! I hope that you have all had a good week. This was a rather busy week for me as it was my middle daughter's birthday and we had some celebrations going on for her which all went well thankfully. So, here is another mojo Monday coming at you. Below are the sketch and my sample for this week.

It was a tricky sketch this week but I am fairly pleased at how it came out. Truthfully the hardest part for me was picking the papers to use. I kept finding 2 dps that coordinated but the third was tricky. Anyway, I colored my heart image with copics and accented the wings with stickles and added rhinestones to the center of the flowers. I first tried shimmerz on the wings but I like how the stickles "matched" the paper better with the flecks of purple in it. The image is from the All My Heart set from Sweet N Sassy stamps as is the sentiment on the front and on the inside which I will show below.

I cut the image out and use pop dots for dimension. I also curled the wings up slightly which you can see below.

I used another heart and sentiment from the set to decorate the inside of the card

Supplies:
stamps- All My Heart digi set from Sweet N Sassy stamps
CS-Neenah classic white from Paper Temptress, K& Company dp
accessories- rhinestones, stickles, copics, circle nesties, labels nesties, paper piercer, pop dots, white taffeta ribbon

Still have some Valentines to make?? Like the images I used today? Well, there is still time, especially if you grab one of Sweet N Sassy stamps digi sets. That is one of the nice things about digital images- instant gratification. Besides you can save money and storage space too. If you did not already know, SNSS has gone ALL digital now. There are new images being added to the store daily so you will want to check in often to see the latest and greatest lol. The rest of the remaining clear stamp sets are on clearance but they are going fast of course!

Well, thank you so much for stopping in today. After you leave, I hope that you will take a minute to stop by the mojo Monday blog to check out the awesome cards that the mojo makers have made. It would also be great to have you play along with the sketch this week as well!

Have a blessed day!!
