Cardz 4 Galz #257 - Bee cause

Thursday August 21, 2025

Hello

We have a new challenge over at

Theme:  Vellum

I was looking for a cute bee die and found this on Amazon.. May Joy DIY.. I don't usually do this but didn't know where else to look.. I used a lot of scraps. I did vellum on the larger bee wings, and vellum besides the leaf dies.  I like the look and figured no place for the sentiment so it will all go inside. I did add a gem to the flower centers.

Challenges:
Crafty animals - #97 - atg animals
613 Ave. create - atg / summer fun
Allsorts challenge #830 - something beginning with B

Do-Al(l)creative #94 - the absolute deliciousness of fall

Tuesday October 1, 2024

Hello.. Fall has arrived in the pacific northwest.
We have a new challenge over at

Theme: make your own background using a stencil

I've used this stencil from Stampin up one other time and I did not like the way it came out. So I've put off using it and then thought ok, time to play and create - it's only paper and I have a trash can under my craft table... So I did the first stencil all over the card front. Then second stencil - ok I'm liking it so far.. I went on to the center two stencils.. I remembered last time I did the leaves as they should of been and didn't like they way the went with the flowers so didn't use them that way. I used one of the leaves to fill in the white areas on the front. I like it.. turned out to my satisfaction.. Ok now how to add the sentiment. I didn't want to cover the flowers so stamped the Tech. Tues. on vellum and added. I finished with some diamond drills. I cut it down just a little so I could add it to a piece of card stock. What do you think? I am liking layering stencils. I have a few. Now to create with them

You're awesome - Alphabet - V

Friday January 27, 2023

Hello

We have a new challenge over at

Our letter this challenge is
V - for VELLUM

I like vellum but I have issues with not being able to adhere it down .. I do have some vellum tape that you just put on the back and burnish so that the adhesive stays.. but being there's little texture to the vellum I find it hard to even get the it to stay.. of course the vellum tape is over 20 yrs. old.. lol that could be an issue. But the little placement of the left over diamond painting drills kinda help it stay along with the tape.  I used a scrap of DCWV paper and then used Stampin up thick vellum and Taylored Expressions leaf dies. The sentiment is heat embossed and from Stampin up along with the die. Thought great for a birthday, new job, some sort of accomplishment in life.

Hello beautiful - Make My Monday #140

Monday January 18, 2021

Hello...
We have a new challenge going on over at

Our theme is HELLO

Well since I have quite a few hello dies.. I decided to pick some that were different fonts and sizes (My favorite things, Simon Says, Tech. Tues) and I repeated die cutting them till I got what I wanted for the background. I am glad I had the hi.. as it filled in those smaller spaces.. I was going to put them on white but I wasn't liking the effect so chose this soft mint color background and the white hello's looks nicer. I stamped the Simon says sentiment on vellum and heat embossed then used MFT die to cut out. I added some sequins. I stamped the SS sentiment on black and heat embossed. I added this to finish the card.

Challenges:
Simon Wednesday - layer it up
Paper craft #66 - heat or dry embossing (black emb/white on black paper)
Simon Monday - we're on a roll (circle vellum)
