Hello

Boy are we getting hot weather in the Pacific northwest.. SW Washington... Hot hot hot. stay cool and hydrated.. use sun screen and don't leave pets in the car or in a dog house out in the sun.. they need shade too and plenty of water.. my two boy dogs love staying in the house.. so we have a fan going for them to stay cool

I found this cute seahorse paper in my K&company pad so used it for the sea feel of my card. I stamped the shell and used copics to color it. and I fussy cut it out.. thank goodness it was simple. I'm spoiled by dies.. I thought it needed some sand so I used a Rubber baby buggy bumper old stamp and created the sand look and just cut out a mound. I put the shell down and though it needed more so I looked at my greenery stamps and found these Stampin up dies so I found some scraps and added them and the shell looks better with them in the background. I stamped the sentiment.

Theme: National bird day - Picture of a bird

I love PSX stamps and knew this is one I wanted to use for this challenge.

I stamped and colored with copics. I went over the birds with Spectrum Noir sparkle brush.  That's about it. Love it. We have hummingbirds year round and have 3 feeders on our porch. We enjoy looking at them.

The theme for this challenge is

FLOWERS

I used an old OLD stamp.. I love these PSX stamps and have a few of them. I haven't used this one for quite some time. I stamped the image and colored with copics. I cut the image down and added to a piece of dark green Authentique dp. I added the My favorite things sentiment. I didn't want to add anything else as I thought it looked great as it was. Love these flowers.

I love this PSX image.. I have around 8-10 of these kind of stamps and need to use them more.. I stamped the image and using Copics colored the image. I went over the flower with Spectrum Noir sparkle brush. I added some diamond painting drills and stamped the Stampin up sentiment and used a SU die and added to the card. I added this to a piece of Prima designer paper.

For my card I water colored the background. I used Altenew watercolors. I added the white foam with bleed proof white. I painted the PSX shell with Prima pan paints, the My favorite things crab/star fish with Mission gold and the Sugar Pea fire and marshmallow with Mission gold wc..  I stamped the Simon Says sentiment with Stampin up ink.  My favorite place is the beach.

Our theme these two weeks is THANK YOU / THANKSGIVNIG

For my card I took a piece of Kraft and repeated stamped the Thank you from Paper Trey Ink. I then added gold embossing powder. I cut this little corner piece from some scraps and added it. I stamped the PSX image and colored with copics.. I used My favorite things die. I added this with some foam dots. I think it's a perfect card for a guy to give to the host at Thanksgiving.

and our theme this week is PUMPKINS

I am using an old wood mounted stamp from PSX.. I stamped the image on watercolor paper and using Mission gold water colors painted the image. I then used My favorite things stitch die and cut this out. I layered it on some black then the orange. I found an old Club scrap stencil so stenciled the fern on the base with Ranger ink. I added the image and using Tech. Tuesday "grateful" and scraps added this to the card and the "for you" is from Stampin up.

Well I dug out another OLD red rubber block stamp. I stamped it on watercolor paper and using Mission paints colored it in. I used a wood grain embossing folder and then added this painted image to it. I had some Stampin Up washi tape on my desk so added a strip to the top and bottom. I used a Tech. Tues. sentiment and cut the strip into a banner. I added a few Nuvo Drops.  I really like how the washi tape added some interest..

Our theme is PUMPKINS

 

 

I love this fun pumpkin by PSX. I stamped this on Bristol paper and colored with Zig markers using water to spread the inks around. I created two of them.. I then used Tech. Tuesday grateful die and cut it out using gold foil card stock and the second card is with navy blue card stock. I layered three to give depth. I then stamped the for you and heat embossed. I layered the image on black and then this awesome designer paper. I hope I have inspired you to create.

 

 

I decided not to use designer paper but the same navy blue card stock that the grateful was die cut from. I embossed the for you in silver.

Hello and welcome back. This is my birthday month.. I don't have any plans.. Maybe the hubby will take me out to dinner.. Of course my children will call and friends will wish me happy birthday on facebook.. Boy how times have changed in this tech. world..

Our challenge these two weeks is RIBBON / BOW + SENTIMENT.. if it's not on the front make sure you show the sentiment on the inside.

I am using the fun image called Anaya and Shanya... I love these cute little girls. Reminds me of my best friend who passed away 11 yr. ago this month. She was also a crafter and so full of energy. She loved crafts, animals and her hubby and children. She was a sky diver.. no way I have issues standing on a bridge..  The sentiment I added was one of hers. Which speaks volumes. I miss her so much.

 

Since the theme is ribbon and bows.. I found a scrap of Quick Quote designer paper so went off of that.. I then found a turquoise scrap of Club scrap turquoise.. I used gray ribbon and added this to the QQ scrap. I added the turquoise to hold the ribbon down. I then colored the image with copics. I added this to the card base. I used a scrap and Lil inker bow die and created the cute bow. I took Stampin up vellum and Stazon and stamped the PSX sentiment. I used Simon Says border die and cut this out. I added some Vellum adhesive behind the strip and wrapped the ends to the back. I added this to a dark gray base. I went over the head bows with Spectrum Noir sparkle pen and the hearts on the dress with Glossy accents and white gel pen here and there.

This is my card. I used the bottom row..

two pattern papers/glitter or bling/embossing..

I stamped the PSX image and colored with Zig markers. I then found some scraps from Quick Quote and adhered behind the image. I used Simon Says hello die and sentiment which I embossed the hot mama.. I loved that it went with the image.. I then added Doodlebugs acrylic dots as the bling..

Our theme is FUN AT THE BEACH

 

 

 

 I am such a water person.. I don't know if it's because I was born and raised in Washington state and on the west side where the water is.. (vs. eastern WA. where its dry, hot and only lakes)  To me at this ripe old age fun at the beach is just to sit and watch the waves, seagulls, people, reflections and other sea life. It really warms my soul to see the water. We live about an hour to the sound and it's only because of the winding roads. If it was a straight shot it would be shorter.  Well for my card I stamped the sentiment by Santa Rosa PSX.. I then used my ground and cloud template and Ranger ink. Then using copics I sketched in the water.  The sentiment had a few seagulls included but I used Simon Says seagulls and added a few more to the sky.  This is my happy place..

With the holidays and time being what it is ... I made this card in minutes.. It's a PSX stamp and I stamped in black and then using copics I colored the flowers and bird.. Added some sequins and it's done. Three items completed this card. How simple is that...

I found a few fun pumpkin images but picked this PSX wood block pumpkin. I stamped it with Memento and colored it with Copics. I added some Ranger ink for the bottom ground area and my cloud template. The sentiment is from Tech. Tues. and is white embossed. I completed with Nuvo drops..

Hope you play along. Fall is pretty much here and Thanksgiving will be here soon. This is the perfect time to make a fun pumpkin card or two..

Well it's time for Me and Monika - Creative with Monika

to challenge each other.. It's my turn to chose again so I chose Water and Fish.. could be river, lake, ocean, fish bowl...  I chose under water ocean scene. I first used this awesome large fish stamp from Embossing Arts Co.. It is one of my favorite fish. I added some other smaller fish from Hampton Stamps and PSX. I used some greenery from a Simon Says stamp set I have. Those white bubbles are also from the stamp set. It's really a flower stamp set.. perfect for the under water scene. I used the black leaves stamp from Rubber seed. I embossed all of the images. I then used Ranger Inks and colored in the fish with water/ink.  Then I used Ranger inks and water colored the background.  I wish you could see this card in real life. It does look awesome.  I cant wait to see what Monika created.  Oh I was going to add a sentiment but I did not want it to take away from the scene. Figured all could be said inside of the card.. What do you think??

Inspiration Destination #89 - ALWAYS ANYTHING GOES

This is my card using the image called Seagull roost.. I love this image and thought it looked like a photo so I used the photo frame die from Taylored Expressions and layered it three times. I even used some glossy cardstock so it actually looked like those old time polaroid.  I was thinking of writing on that white bottom part of the frame so it looked like some of my old photos.. but I did not want to take away from the sentiment.. I love the ocean and head there as often as possible. We only live about hour from the beach.  Of course seagulls are all inland so see them quite often but the seagulls at the beach always look prettier.  After I colored the image I thought I need a piece of paper behind it so found this awesome perfect piece of dcwv paper.
