Alphabet challenge - D - You're Dog-Gone Awesome

Hello and it's almost June... Warmer weather and great time to vacation even if it's those short trips and doing something fun.

We have a new challenge over at

Alphabet challenge

Theme:  letter D - for Dog

I made this card for my daughter .. She has a couple Corgi's and thought this would be a fun card to send to her.  I stamped the My favorite image and heat embossed the sentiment. I colored the doggie with copics and using my cloud template added the clouds with Ranger ink. I used MFT stitch die and backed with black card stock.. I added twine to the Basic Gray designer paper and added a twine layered bow.. I added the image and sentiment. I punched about 5 hearts with Stampin up punch and layered them for the thickness. I added some glossy accents but it didn't look right so I scraped it off and added some fine glitter.  I tied to color him the color of my daughter's corgi.. think it came out cute.

Theme: Add a sentiment

I used a stamp from my friend. It's a Stampin up image. I colored with copics. I backed to a scrap and added to a blue/green card base. it looks dark in the photo.. I die cut the banner and added the sentiment. I added a few diamond drills. I went over the flowers with a Spectrum Noir glitter brush.

I am using Fetching Fido.. I used a stencil for the background kind like a fence and my cloud template.. He's kicking up a lot of dust playing with his tennis ball in the dirt.. I used Ranger inks and added some speck to the dirt with a Simon says stamp. I used copics to color him. The sentiment is from My favorite things. The designer paper is Basic Grey

I struggle with the music notes I don't know if they are upside down or not. anyway they are what they are.. I stamped the Paper tray ink music notes on a piece of Basic grey card stock. I went around the edges with Ranger in. I stamped the Judi kins image on a piece of scrap. I added the sentiment and diamond drills.

Here is my card using the image Big Archie Butterwaite.. I colored the image with copics. I used my cloud template and Ranger ink. I used Lil inker stitch die. I added an orange scrap and green scrap behind the image and then added to a piece of Basic Grey dp. I finished with the Tim Holtz snarky sentiments.

I am using the image called Sharesies..  Sometimes I feel like this when I am eating my 3 dogs stare at me.. at us. We don't give them food from the table. they only get their kibble and frozen blueberries or green peas for a treat. 

I colored the image with copics and fussy cut out. I added to some Basic Grey designer paper and used a Stampin up die for the heart. The rug is a left over from another project. I thought it worked great for the rug. I don't know who the sentiments are from.. But I thought it was funny to add them.

So if you've followed me you probably know my three favorite colors are  Orange / Lime green / Purple.. So that is what I used on this card. I am using the image called School girl. I colored the image with copics. I fussy cut her out. I used Basic gray orange paper. for the background. I used a Quick Quote scrap of green and Stampin up purple which I used My favorite things die. I added a twine bow and added to the card. I added the Tim Holtz snarky sentiment which I think is so true, I have those days. I added the girl with some foam dots. I added a Doodle but heart to the bow.

Hello.. It's time to share a card for the new challenge over at

Alphabet Challenge Blog

Our letter this time is "O" for OLD folks

For my card I used the image from Ladybug Crafts. I colored the image with copics and fussy cut the image out. I looked for some designer paper that would remind me of my grand parents wallpaper and found this paper from Basic Grey. I then took a kraft card stock and Paper Trey Ink wood grain and Stampin up ink and created the floor. I added a little base board using Quick quote chalk ink to give the kraft some color.  I thought the wall needed a sentiment that looked like a wall hanging so stamped the sentiment and using My favorite things dies cut them out. I added some twine and finished with an epoxy dot for the hanger holder.

We have a new challenge over at Cardz 4 Galz #132

Our theme this challenge is GO RETRO

For my card I dug through my piles of designer paper and this Basic Gray had this that kinda feel I was going for. 1960's or so.. I used Taylored Expressions stamps for this card. I stamped the sentiments and VW bug on watercolor paper. I used Prima watercolors and added colors to the sentiments and bug.. I fussy cut the vw bug out and used My favorite things banners for the sentiments.  This was fun card to create.  We had a 60's bug but gave it to our grandson.

This is my card using Crafty Sentiments image called Tess Summer Fun..

I thought hum.. fall colors and she has a summer dress on... BUT.. in the pacific northwest where I live fall can still be warm. Indian summer.. So I had no issues creating this card. I just went more of a fall color for her dress.. I also colored the flowers more of a fall color. I used copics and then used Spellbinder circle die to cut her out. I chose this Basic Grey designer paper and liked the colors that felt like fall. I thought it needed something to break it up so I dry embossed the navy blue card stock strip. I added some banners using scraps and Spellbinder and Tech. Tues. dies. I then heat embossed the Reverse Confetti sentiment on the same blue strip that is behind the image.  I went over the flowers with Spectrum Noir sparkle brush. I did a few highlights with a white gel pen.
